The staff here are always very friendly and eager to assist. Parking is abundant and there is rarely a wait. The drive thru Pharmacy is very convenient too. I actually felt compelled to write this review about the Excellent customer service in the Photo Dept. I of course I waited until the week before Christmas to order my holiday greeting cards. The website for this feature could be better, but my order was ready within a couple of hours, great! But here's where I was really impressed. Just like every previous year, my computer and printer did not like the settings for printing my mail merged addressed envelopes and managed to ruin in my numerous attempts about 20 of my special 5x7 envelopes that came with my order. So I called the Store to see if I could buy 20 of them, and the clerk without hesitation but with her manager's approval said I could just come on down with my receipt and they would just give me the extra envelopes! Really didn't expect that. And just like that my greeting cards were saved and on their merry way thanks to CVS. Happy Holidays! read more

I used to like this pharmacy. Their pharmacists were friendly, despite being understaffed and very busy, got my orders filled when they said they would be, and never gave me a hard time about my medications. Ever since they hired some new staff a couple of months ago, things have gone downhill drastically. Last month, they gave me the run-around for two full weeks before finally filling my medication, giving me every excuse in the book - all of which were complete BS - while failing to make simple phone calls to either me or my insurance to clear up the so-called "issue". This month, I hesitantly gave them my script, thinking maybe last month was a one-time issue, especially since I had filed a complaint with CVS in the meantime. Did it help? Nope! It has now been a week since I dropped off my script and my prescription is still not filled...in fact, I am once again getting excuse after excuse for it not being filled, including being lied to about their operating procedure (which was later verified by another pharmacist employee). Now here I am, waiting endlessly, again not receiving phone calls to discuss the issues, and having to be on my toes to get information on what is going on with my prescription. And god forbid if I have to call them. The hold time on the phone is utterly ridiculous and if I get their new Asian lady on the phone, I get treated with disdain and a condescending attitude. Lovely! If complaining to corporate doesn't make a difference and even fellow pharmacists are willing to admit that the new employees are causing problems, what are we customers supposed to do? This is the only CVS convenient to my home. Now I'm being forced to take my business elsewhere, because a few employees can't handle doing their jobs with respect? Unacceptable. read more

By far my fave CVS clean well kept and stocked. Cashiers Erin shereen Tessy Kristen maria(I'm missing a few names) have all been great and helpful and always keeping a conversation with me but today I was upset that cashier Samantha wrote me the wrong rain check for the wrong size item when I wanted what it is in the weekly ad she checked other stores and all had only a few bags.. I went to get a flu shot on Saturday November 4th at 11AM PST at the CVS Store in Pleasanton CA on Bernal ave. The pharmacist or tech that was working was a lazy human. There were no customers but me. I had to get her attention because she was too busy texting away on her phone. When she finally acknowledged me, I asked for a flu shot and she said she couldn't because she was the only one working and was very busy. Very busy? I was the ONLY person there and she was too busy texting. She then told me to go to another CVS Store. That woman should be fired for being so rude and lazy. They spent a week lying to me saying they ordered my medication before finally admitting that they could not because the name brand on my script is no longer made. I told them to order generic because they have only ever ordered me generic and there should be no reason they can't order me generic. They said they would. Then they tried to tell me four times they could not order a generic medication for me even though they had just filled the exact generic one I wanted last month. I called my local cvs, got the national drug code of the brand I wanted and they said they ordered it. Two days later I get a call saying they don't make the formulation I want and I can't get the generic I wanted to order. I told the dumbass pharmacy girl to shut her mouth, gave her a brand name and national drug code, she calls me back not two minutes later saying that they can order it for me. The staff person Veronica sent me on a wild goose chase to another store to pick up my medication, and after driving across town I find out she never actually called to confirm it was there. This is the 2nd time this employee has provided the wrong information, and is rude when you request clarification. Poor training, impatient and unfriendly service. The pharmacists are fine but the staff incompetence is not worth dealing with. There are plenty of pharmacies in town, go somewhere else. Zero stars. read more

They weren't even busy, there was just one person ahead of me but I had to wait 15 min to be acknowledged and wait another 10 min just to drop off a prescription. Literally the worst pharmacy. They forgot to fill/include some of my prescriptions and I didn't realize until I got home and had to go back. ALWAYS a long wait over phone or in person. The drive through doesn't matter because you'll have to go in to deal with someone in person or wait over an hour. I'm never, never getting something filled here again. read more

I have always been very happy when I use this CVS for my shopping needs. Every employee that has helped me as always been curteous and friendly. I specifically find the manager Gary Wright very helpful! The times I have been there Gary is always on the move. And, as busy as he is I see him ask customers if he can help them find what they are looking for. The store is always clean, well organized and well lit. The parking lot is also very clean. Not impressed with the pharmacy. Prescriptions sent by doctor on Friday. Waited until Sunday to collect; they needed to order both prescriptions. Was told they would be ready Monday at 4. Waited until Tuesday morning. Neither prescription was ready. It shouldn't take 3 trips to get very common prescriptions filled. Strongly contemplating moving all my prescriptions to another store. Like other reviews have mentioned, there is ALWAYS a wait. Clearly they need more staff. read more

Carol, a pharmacy tech at CVS on Bernal, just went above and beyond to solve a critical issue for a family member. A pharmacist in the city we recently moved to refused to help us (after struggling to even find the correct patient info), claiming there was nothing he could do and repeatedly asking me, "What did you want again?" I had worked with Carol before and knew that she is on top of her game, so I called her and asked for help with the other pharmacy. She was able to resolve the situation in minutes, getting insurance coverage on a prescription that would cost $700 if we paid cash. It's medication that literally saves my family member's life. This CVS location is recently become hands down the worst!! They're always out of stock on medicines, even when the Rx has been on hold in their system waiting to be filled for over a week. I went there 3 times one day because they kept saying Rx would be ready, only to be told they were actually out of stock & it would take 5 more days to come in! Another occasion the pharmacist refused to fill an Rx only ONE DAY EARLY even though the Doctor approved the request! The worst part was the pharmacist was the one who told me to get the DR approval first! & Then she refused it anyway??! The other location @ 3010 Bernal is great, Jose is one of the most helpful techs I've ever seen. San Ramon marketplace cvs is also extremely helpful & hardworking. Get with it 6750! Check your Perscriptions!! I had three Perscriptions (that I have taking for years), that the pharmacist mistaking put in as 90 days, instead of 30 days. First they said come back on the 7th of the month, I said, no, 30 days is the 3rd, Now they want me to pay full price. I went in at noon today, my insurance called them at 2:30, then the pharmacist called me after she closed the register for the day and says "CVS will have to take a loss on the Perscriptions, she is leaving for the day, she will be back Monday at 3:30 and she will ask for CVS to take the loss". What type of customer service is that? Time to find a better customer service CBS. Unfortunately my pharmacy insurance is CVSCare Mark, so I have to use CVS. read more

Went in to return mucinex-D, took 2 pills made me very ill. Paid $35 for these, called next day to ask if I could return and was told by pharmacy staff yes. The store is new and clean and I've always found the cashiers who work up front to be very friendly. However, I've never had a good experience with the pharmacy. The wait times have been unreasonable, there is always an issue with my insurance (I have a PPO and never have issues elsewhere), my card is expired ( same insurance last 10 years, card does not expire, again not a problem elsewhere), they have my kids as the wrong gender and won't give prescription (seriously WTF), they don't have medicine in stock and either have to go elsewhere or wait a couple days, etc... I really wish this was my go to pharmacy as it is convenient, but it's not worth my time and frustration any longer. And sadly I can't say the same about the pharmacy staff as the front of the store, they are rude and barely acknowledge you. read more

I use this location often as CVS is a preferred supplier for my medical insurance. They are friendly and appear to be competent. However, the pharmacy seems to be understaffed and often overrun. When I dropped my prescription off earlier they were calling for pharmacy help over the store's intercom. I was told it would take 45 mins.... I came back 65 minutes later, they were still overrun and still working on my order (for another 25 mins) read more

I'm sitting here waiting for my curling iron to heat up so I figured I'd review the CVS I just came home from. I don't think it's the most well stocked cvs, some of the makeup brands I go there for don't always carry what I need or are running low on certain items that take a few weeks to restock. But that being said, still 4 stars bc the store's layout is nice and spacious, it's always clean and organized, but most importantly the employees there are the nicest employees I've met in a while. I'm not even just comparing CVS's. The customer service there is so great, and since it's my go-to location I always feel super welcome. I'm always - like ALWAYS - greeted when I come in. Not even in an annoying or fake way, they say hi and I want to smile and say hi back. Sometimes I try and sneak in to see if they notice me but they always manage to catch me, make eye contact, smile, and say welcome. Also always asking if I need help finding anything and always making sure I know what kind of coupons I have stacked on my rewards card. Once you get your Rx it's fine. But I've had to wait many times when I have gone there and the Rx had been sent in by the Dr. several hours before. When I've called to check whether it's available every time I've had to wait for 15+ minutes to speak with a person. Right now I've been on hold for 20 minutes listening to music. I came here right after my wisdom teeth extraction and my dentist had written me a prescription for some pain medication. When the worker named Therese helped me, she was slamming on the keyboard keys and had sighs of frustration. Rude. I'm a customer and you're at work. Be professional and keep your problems at home, if its work related then don't show it out on the floor to your customers. I work with difficult people everyday, but i know theres a time and place for my frustrations. She asked for a pharmacy card, i asked my dad if he had one. My dad doesn't speak much english so he asked ' what were you looking for? ' she responded to him like he was stupid. I waited at least an hour. They said the prescription was wrong and they needed to call the dentist. I left with my antibiotics only. I took my prescription to my local kaiser and they filled the prescription with NO PROBLEMS. I understand some pain medication is a controlled substance but come on, my mouth was STILL NUMB FROM THE PROCEDURE. I asked the workers at kaiser if there was ANYTHING WRONG with the prescription, they said everything looked fine and it was good to fill. I don't know what the pharmacists name was because she wasnt wearing a name tag but it was an asian lady. This CVS sucks, and so does their service. read more
