Horrible customer service in the pharmacy. I advise that you don't go here if you plan on having a life. You will literally spend over an hour waiting for your medicine when they tell you it will only be 20 minutes. I promise I will never ever ever ever step foot again in this store. what has happened to this walgreen's? i feel like i'm walking into some kind of lower class thrift shop. the aisles are always cluttered and never stocked. it just seems that most of the drug stores these days are taking a turn for the worse. longs drugs seems to be the only one stepping up their game but with so many problems and lack of product i don't know why anyone wouldn't just go to a target store. now that place is fun but it's too darn easy to spend money fast on things i don't need. read more

So i ordered a Soap and Glory lipbalm. I have been waiting 2 weeks for the in store pick up. I got an email that it had been delivered. So i call and they say they havent gotten it. So i wait a few days and i go in. They tell me that they never received it. Okay so every time i call i got a sweet girl that picked up. But yesterday and today both times calling and going in this woman named Sylvia is a complete bitch. She tells me i am not going to be helped by her. When i would call she would hang up on me. So idk. When i went into walgreens today, i picked yp my box and when i opened it the container was smashed and i couldnt fix it. I went to my car to open it btw. So i went back in to see Sylvia standing there. I ask if she can help me and she just rolls her eyes and says i have to wait for the manager. So i say fine and wait. I wait for 30 minutes until this guy Daniel helps me. He says to Sylvia why didnt you help her. Sylvia said i wasnt her problem anymore. So Daniel helped me. He returned it and ordered me a new one. He apologized mutiple times and Sylvia rolled her eyes and told him before i left not to give into the customer and he needs to not act like it was his problem but it was mine. Btw she was the manager on duty too. I am never going back there. I just hate how customer service has changed so much. It is awful. I have never had so much trouble filling medicine at any other pharmacy in my life and I've got quite a bit of experience, with grandparents as pharmacists so I know how it works and the rules. This is by far the rudest pharmacist her name (Oi L.) I have ever dealt with, she has let me know she won't fill my meds because she does not like me personally and I suffer from specifically Grand Mal epilepsy which is a pretty big deal for me and in everyone else's eyes around me except for her I guess, especially because I can't always take care of myself on my own on a regular basis. And it happens every time I go in to pick up my medicine. I do have to thank Zabe and the other people around because they always seem to want to help except that pharmacist. I just wish the pharmacist would show a bit more care for the patients including me and others I have seen in there. Our health is important to us! Wow. I never thought my first Yelp review would be a slam. But I have to warn the good consumers to stay away from this place unless you have no choice at all. Total incompetence. I got the "bright" idea to start using this pharmacy as I recently discovered it right by my work place and thought "Great, I can take care of my rx's on my lunch break instead of rushing to make it back home before my local Walgreens closes, or transferring rx's to the 24 hour one in San Leandro" BIG MISTAKE. They were calling and faxing my Dr. to verify rx's that were clearly on my profile. When I got sick of their ineptitude I told them never mind. Just cancel my order. What did they geniuses do? They deleted the whole thing from my profile all together. Amazing. Well I called my regular one in Castro Valley..they not only retrieved my lost rx but had it processed in the next ten minutes. We stopped to get advertised deals at the store. We found some in store sale items marked down on the shelf, but the cashier wouldn't honor the price because it wasn't in the computer. The lady in line in front of us had the same problem. The woman behind us had the same problem. This is the worst place to shop! read more

This is the WORST Walgreens that I have ever been to nationwide! This store is very old and cramped and barely has the basics. It is the pharmacy that is really bad. The lines are long and they make no apologies for it. The could not care less that your time is being wasted there. I actually live about 1/2 mile away but get on the freeway and drive 10-15 minutes to the Walgreens in San Ramon for better service. Forget this one and go elsewhere! read more

I was in your Walgreen store in Pleasanton, CA to prick up my refill medication today round 5PM PST. There was only one clerk at the pickup counter and there was long line for the only clerk. When I was giving up and leaving the store, I saw that Mr. Anwar and the photo department had no customer and alerted him about the long line in the Pharmacy department. I was surprised that Mr. Anwar responded very defensively and questioned me if I was questioning about his work ethics. I explained that Pharmacy customers (including myself) need help. I also noticed that a couple feet from Mr. Anwar, the checkout lines had only one clerk and there was a line of customers there as well. Okay, Mr Anwar may ignore the situtation in the store. Convenient location but dealing with the pharmacy is frustrating and it takes forever. Even when I call in or the doctor faxes the script in advance it's never ready when I get there. Always crowded and not particularly run well. Staff outside of pharmacy is nice and generally helpful just expect limited selections and high prices. Thumbs up for convenience factor, thumbs down for everything else. read more

My family has been going to this pharmacy for many, many years. This past week, we learned that their check reader will no longer accept/read checks from a credit union. My elderly mother does not have credit cards and must pay for her expensive medications by check. After all these years, we are going to have to change pharmacies to one that has more current technology. The managers were useless in trying to help resolve the problem. read more

At Pleasanton California Walgreens Pharmacy, the staff has absolute disregard for kids' health. Between November 2011-April 2012, my 1 year old child has been repeatedly sick, bringing me to Walgreens for antibiotics. Turns out that everytime they mix the medication it comes short by 2-5 doses. I brought this to the Pharmacy's attention three times, but nothing changed. One of the pharmacist told me to: 1. Mix the medication myself, 2. Call the pediatrician for a second prescription. The Pharmacist said that since all the medication has gone into my child's body, she got the whole dose... even if at a higher concentration, so she can get another prescription if I wanted. It did not bother her one bit that my infant child got higher dosage than prescribed per dose by her doctor. I reported this to the store manager, again to no answer! This is Walgreens, a name I trusted for over 12 years... so now I am forced to abandon this pharmacy, because I am dismayed at the inefficiency of the staff that Walgreens Pleasanton has on board. What kind of Pharmacy can not measure liquid amount properly? If this happened just one time I would have accepted it, but 4 times in 6 months is way too many.
