Too bad I can't give 0 stars to this pathetic store. "Critical B" is spot on in his review, especially the 1st line about management not caring. To make a long story short, here are the facts: I walked into this store & there was an employee standing nearby, working on something. When she saw me she stopped her work & just stood there glaring at me. I walked on pretending not to see her but she kept glaring at me until I went to another aisle. I couldn't find what I was looking for & had no choice but to ask her since I couldn't find any other employee to ask. She told me the location, but as I was walking away SHE CALLED ME A BITCH. I sent a complaint to the store manager & to Walgreens HQ but did not receive any response from anyone, not even a robocall or form letter. Obviously they don't care about anyone but themselves. I haven't shopped there since then & will NEVER shop there again. Why should anyone shop there when there are so many other decent places to choose from? read more

When I went to Walgreens it was late at night. There is a parking lot however, late at night park near the front door where is good lighting. The store layout is traditional. As you enter the store the large cosmetic department is directly in-front. The department has all of the standard lines of make-up such as Revlon, Maybelline, and Lancôme. The pharmacy is located in the back right of the store. It is fully stocked and has 24-hour professionals available. That comes in handy when you have small children or elderly and you have to provide medication to them. The store has a good selection of school supplies for those last minute projects. The check-out has 2 cashier stations in the front of the store near the exit and entrance. read more

This store is the WORST!!!!! Every time I go to this store to pick up a prescription the lines are long and the wait is unacceptable. A couple of weeks ago they charged me full price for a prescription my insurance company is telling me should have been covered. Did they even bother to check? I just called because I had questions about this same prescription and I was on hold forever with an annoying recording and when I spoke to someone finally, the phone line was so bad, I couldn't hear and their employee couldn't hear me. I asked if I needed to call back and the employee said it was the line, so they know about this and they aren't fixing it? This is outrageous!!!! I am DONE with this store and it needs to be closed and replaced with a store which is more customer focused. read more

The pharmacy is awful. It doesn't matter what day or time you go there is always a line at least 8+ deep and only one person working. While waiting you can see the customers in front of you try to pick up their meds and then be asked to stand to the side because they messed up the prescription. Then after 45 min to an hour you finally make it up to the counter and they tell you they only received half of what you need and are then rude about their mistake. Then the rude girl sneezes all over you and says she's coming down with a cold. Great, that's exactly what I needed. This place is awful, avoid it! read more

I stopped in this Walgreens a few months ago and the air conditioning was broken. The store was about 90 degrees and very stuffy so I felt pretty awful for the employees. I had to return here this week and amazingly the air conditioning was STILL broken. People, we had a heat wave last week where temperatures in the area reached 107 degrees outside. Listen, I've been using this Walgreens for my prescription needs for years. It's got a great location being close to 101, 85 & 237, so it's easy to get to and 24x7. The Pharmacists and assistants have been wonderful and very caring. I have had to go through the long lines at the Pharmacy, at it's usually because they are struggling with a Dr. or Insurance issue trying to get a customer what they duly need. I've been on the receiving end of this several times as well and really appreciate what they've done to help me. Long queues are just a fact, as they have a high volume of customers and Insurance companies often deny prescriptions or Dr's don't have the correct info on the prescription. I've never had an issue getting a prescription when I use their website to order renewals etc. Very useful tool. I've seen several issues with my Dr.'s office's getting my prescription requests to them timely. (It usually takes an hour to an hour and a half.) My biggest complaint is that this store doesn't get enough maintenance and I know they've gone through at least 1 store manager because the district wouldn't give them the funds they needed for maintenance. Often the Pharmacy (line) area will be hot... I mean VERY hot and uncomfortable. Now they have "Move and Cools" positioned in several places in the store. The AC in this building just isn't working right... I've seen a 'fridge' go over a month before it could receive maintenance. What's the bonus because the store gets so warm? Chocolates are usually on sale, so I'm pacified. :-) Regarding security: I've never found their restroom closed. I have seen quite a few odd characters in the store. When I felt uncomfortable, I've mentioned it to a shift manager or clerk and they immediately investigated. The truth is I use this store almost weekly for my prescriptions. I choose this store due to the good service I've had from them for more than 10 years and the location is very convenient. read more

The most important thing this place has going for it is being open 24 hours which is definitely a wonderful thing for when you need a medication urgently late at night. They also have a pretty big selection of medications. However the down sides are pretty down: Poor service, extremely slow, staff generally unfriendly, seem like they have no interest in customers whatsoever. The entire place is dusty, dingy, and dirty. On the telephone it takes forever to get through. Often they pick up and say they picked up the wrong line and put you on hold again! Then they are likely to disconnect you before they get back to you. You will wait long amounts several times in general. Right now as I am typing, I have been placed on hold for 5 minutes or more 3 times in the same call. For routine things not needed late at night, do not go here!! Best to have NowRx deliver your medication. Full disclosure: I have no interest in NowRxl I am only a satisfied user both as a patient and as a provider, Why not get concierge service and same day delivery for the same price as waiting in line forever at this Walgreens where it feels like you are in a ghetto? Then they say pick up on 19th then they say nope cant have it. Then come back when i could they said i didnt pick up they put it back in stock. Now my date to get has changed again. This review relates to the pharmacy only: do not choose this as your regular pharmacy. Yes, the 24 hours aspect of this place is great and the employees are kind and helpful, but the pharmacy is extremely understaffed. Expect to wait 20 minutes at minimum for your prescription. Also, if you request more than one prescription, don't be surprised if your "it's ready" messages only relate to one of them... Which means waiting in line for 20-30 minutes only to discover they never filled the other prescription(s). Go elsewhere if you can. read more

Great Customer Service at this particular location. When it comes to medi-cal and alliance for health, there is one lady there who knows it all. She's at the drop off desk for the right reasons. I highly suggest that all walgreens takes her customer service practices into consideration. For years this has been a pain to deal with when you have the white and blue card. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever used. They quoted 1/2 wait time but the actual time was 1 1/2 hours. The techs walk away from the window while "helping" you, without any explanation or communication. conveniently located, easy access for me to drug store / pharmacy. i had to get my passport photos taken here twice and it took 5 minutes one time, and 50 minutes the other... definitely needs better consistency. overall the convenience factor makes this place repeat worthy. read more

Been quite a few times. Items always in stock staff is super friendly. A couple of times when I was pretty busy there was only one line open and cashier needed assistance with customer in front of me so it took forever. Inefficient. Lack of innovative order, workflow, and payment processing management system. Poor customer servicing. Walgreen will get eliminated if doesn't change. Urgent care doctor placed a prescription to this 24hr pharmacy at 8:10 - 8:20 pm. Phone automated system confirmed order ready for pickup at 9:45 pm. Arrived to the location at 9:55 pm. Prescribed medicine was not ready. Usually this location has long line; there was no line at this time. Thought this was my lucky day... waited for 10-15 minutes more. Pharmacist told me OptimRX insurance auth system was down. Called OptimRX about the maintenance. It started at 10 pm PST and ends at 4 am. Options... come back next day or pay full price now and come back for the refund. Asked refund to the same card electronically so I don't have to come back. Obviously, I wanted this medicine today; otherwise, I wouldn't have seen doctor at urgent care. Pharmacist could not make this decision; called for store manager. Waited... waited... called store manager, again. 10 minutes later, store manager/lead showed up. Explained the situation. And, she said "her" final decision is no. WTF was this. I was willing to pay this $300+ medicine out of pocket, first. She or Walgreen doesn't know how to close the deal? Given Walgreen pharmacist screwed up on getting the order ready for customer to pick up on time. I wouldn't have to deal with this non-sense about OptimRX auth system down. This is possibly the worst for pharmacy service ever. Called in a refill, tol to pick it up the next day. Received a call the next day that they were out of stock and would call me when ready. One week later, on hold for over 30 minutes, call timed out, back on the phone again and still holding, one caller ahead of you, now no callers but please hold on . When I called the automatic service for info on the refill there was no record of my having called it in or the RX number.....horrible. This is blood pressure med and I really need it after deal with this lousy pharmacy. The other one in Los Altos is worse. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at any Walgreens! I have worked at Walgreens and so has my husband. I had an encounter with manager, Amanda while I was purchasing supplies for my own private business as well as purchasing a swisher sweet for my own personal use. Yes, I was with my son who is black and he was standing right next to me. She demanded to see his ID. I have NEVER EVER encountered such a thing. I have shopped hundreds if not thousands of times at this Walgreens, at times buying swishers and even wine and I have always had my seventeen year old son with me. When I asked her why she needed to see his ID she replied with " I am just doing my job" and of course rolled her eyes. This is an absolute unprofessional way to talk to a loyal customer. The worst part is that she racial profiled my son because he is black. I do understand that being a manger at Walgreens does not require a college education however, training on professionalism and prevention of racially profiling should be mandated! Besides this review, I feel compelled to contact the store manager Estella as well as the district manager. I went there for a passport photo, waited for quite long time and the staff seemed to take things slow on purpose. And the photo came out with a lot of shade on the background, I don't want trouble and still paid for it. I have to retake in another Walgreen which comes out perfectly. Worst walgreens ever. Have made photo orders twice here. Both times made the order around midnight and got a confirmation email saying my order would be ready by 1:30am. I show up at 7:30 am and the order hadn't even started to process. They said it would take at least an hour and were not one but apologetic, arrogant and rude in fact. Second time I placed the order again around midnight and I guess I'm an idiot expecting a different result. Just called as I was on my way to pick up the order and it was like a cruel joke...they hadn't started the order and it won't be ready for at least an hour. Wow. So, I broke my thumb playing baseball and had to drive myself to the ER. Well, I came here to pick-up my pain killers....oh I live in Menlo Park so driving to Mountain View was not on the top of my list, but it was late and this place was open and had the meds I needed. So, I'm in a lot of pain. My doctor says, your prescription will be ready when you get there. Sweet! I wait in a long ass line to find out they have no record of me. There was nothing they could do for me. I call my doctor again, and she said "That's not right, I spoke to the pharmacist personally!" She calls again as I get back in the line. Now it's even busier. Hard to explain, but the dude and chick in front of me completely get out of line and I now I'm standing there with no around me. As I go to move up the line two groups of people walk right in front of me.....with no regard. A-Holes!!!!! So, I'm standing there and the old woman behind the counter is calling my name over the intercom. I just wait in line because I don't want to cut. Well, the new chick now standing in front of me wasn't paying attention and this woman cuts in front of her......the old lady behind the counter totally saw it and did/said NOTHING! I am not surprised to see here two star for this Walgreens. I have been living in Mountain View for over two years now. They have the sign that say pardon our construction or something like that, since then. Seriously? how many decades they need to fix their AC. What happens to all those creams and medication over the counter that usually should be stored at room temperature? The temperature inside the store is an oven temperature not a room temperature!! And more important, the human beings (like me and many others) when waiting in line for a long long time to pick up a medicine. Terrible management for sure. Nothing has changed since I moved here. Today i was waiting in the line at the pharmacy when a woman was checking out at the counter, the employee is arguing with her about a pricing issue for over 15 minutes although the customer went back to the isle and brought the sign and showed it to the employee, still she was not given the price marked. And all those people waiting in the line to pick up a medicine including an old woman on a walker! Seriously, this is a pharmacy not a bar in SF, they need to have some sympathy and consider those patients who are waiting in the line. NOT customers (only) as the technicians call them!!! If I can rate no star I would rate the pharmacy no star. I was told by the pharmacy tech that I would be called if my Rx is ready. I was walking around the store for 25 mins and I walked back to the counter to check then I was told it's been ready. I never left the store and I have a sick child with me.
