Not only does this place have a drive through pharmacy but it is open 24 hours with a security guard. After trying to yell out my info to the pharmacist over my boyfriend's shoulder at 6AM (after being in the ER all night) in the speaker I gave up and went inside. I am sure we (I mean me especially) looked respectable with rumpled drooled stained clothing, a swollen mouth, smeared makeup and goofy- high on morphine...The pharmacist was able to get my prescription filled in 5 minutes (super fast!), buzz me in to use the restroom and we even found a cat toy/house shaped like a pirate ship and Halloween decorations! Not actually open 24 hours. The pharmacy hours should be posted, as they close for breaks during the graveyard shift. I've found that the pharmacy lockdown times in the wee hours vary, so you might want to give them a ring before making an early AM prescription run. If you happen to be a bicyclist, keep in mind that Walgreens is among the many other businesses in the US that won't allow you to use their drive-up facilities. Ironically, although the reasoning is always some poorly considered safety concern, I was given the nod to take the bike into this particular store. The first time I did this, a hyper kid ran smack into the rear wheel as I waited in line. He grinned up at me impishly, but grimaced when his mother hit him with some tired old command. I have finally given up on Walgreens on Coffee Rd. One should not have to serve as the intermediary between one's doctor and the pharmacy. Walgreens tells me they have contacted my doctor for prescription refills, but as often as not the doctor's office never received a FAX. When I ask the doctor's staff to contact them, the issue is generally, but not always resolved. The staff at the Walgreens pharmacy is, with rare exceptions, rude and unresponsive. This has been going on repeatedly for more than a year. Frankly, I am tired of the frustration involved in dealing with them. The Walgreens store is conveniently located to me and has 24 hour service. Sadly, I will miss the convenience, but no longer want to deal with the frustration in refilling a prescription and lack of respect I must endure just get a refill. read more

I like this Walgreens. Because the manager is really cool. He greets everyone that walks in the store. Plus it's always well stocked. The only problem is I cant walk around the pharmacy when I have my grandkids with me. There is a guy with colored hair there that looks scary to them. I'm sure he is a nice guy. Honestly i came home twice after feeling so sick sitting in car. Drive thru is useless. Hire more employees! Yesterday my husband attempted to get a medication filled. The pharmacy tech very rudely refused to accept the prescription saying it was an illegal prescription. He called the prescribing doctor who kindly verified that the prescription was, in fact, filled out properly and should present no issues at the pharmacy. We then took the prescription to a Target CVS pharmacy who filled it in 20 minutes without any issues. Also, my son has had a recurring prescription for 3 years at this pharmacy. Every single month it's a battle to get it refilled. They kept blaming other people; the doctor, the insurance company, etc. I believed what they were saying to be true, so I tried to remain patient every month and ensure we had adequate time to get the refill, so I called about a week and a half early to refill the medication. I found out today that the paperwork they need every month for this prescription has to be completed by WALGREENS and hasn't been completed in a timely manner, which resulted in my son not getting his medication on time several months in a row. Today I had the same Target CVS pharmacy take over this prescription as well. It was ready in 20 minutes without problems. Absolutely unacceptable, Walgreens. I'm disgusted. read more

I have had more frustration than probably most customers with my neighborhood Walgreens. 20 years of more negative experiences than not. Especially trying to get correct sale prices and using accumulated points. Then when you think you have a simple transaction it turns into 10 minutes of my wasted time especially when you have managers unwilling to address complaints and after rudeness and incompetence from Caleb today I am going to address the 2 star rating I am giving to corporate ! They have very few good employees and it's our neighborhood Walgreens. I expect better. Apparently I am not the only one to feel this way especially since there are many unemployed people that would love to represent Walgreens in a courteous and competent way. Corporate make changes. CVS will benefit if you don't ! Update ...I followed up with a phone call to the Coffee/Sylvan Walgreens this morning and spoke with store manager Gary and he listened to all of my concerns and complaints with a promise to look into yesterday's experience and understands they need to improve. He will talk to the new employee and educate Caleb to be able to keep his job and to represent Walgreens in a more appropriate way. No need for a corporate complaint to be filed since I feel Gary, manager, is sincere and concerned enough to make positive changes. Shout out to Philip!! Very disappointed on how rude the workers are. Went into the store around 9:30pm to buy a few things. My friend who is currently pregnant needed to use their restroom & Maria the worker in the photos section kept denying her access. When we asked her what time they closed the bathroom she said 10pm! I went in today to drop off my husbands new prescription that was needed right away and the most rudest, unprofessional, couldn't care less about anyone guy ( I won't call him a man cause he definitely didn't act like one) was working the counter and all I can say is I can't see how he is still working there. There was plenty of time to fill the prescription ( 1.5hr) to be exact bit he would t even take it and said that it would have to be picked up the next day. What part of he needed it today per his Dr was confusing I have no idea. I ended up calling the manager and letting him and I hope he follows through with addressing his about it. This is a small Walgreens, has everything as a bigger one would but the aisles are tighter and it just looks like everything is crammed into a little space. The employees were nice and was greeted right away. They do have a pharmacy and a photo section as well. Came in quickly for one item and left fifteen minutes later because they were having issues with the ATM running slow, took forever. I'm a fan of Walgreens but not this one in particular. The customer service is hit or miss at this place but I will never return there again. The pharmacy tech was not only rude in person but over the phone as well. It takes a certain amount of professionalism and compassion when dealing with patients and their medical needs and she is clearly lacking in those areas. Maybe sensativity training sould be mandatory. I cant believe the managment is okay with sarcasim and snarky behavior but I find that these larger companies dont care about customer service. So I found a smaller local pharmacy in Manteca that treats people with respect and dignity and truely fills medication in less than an hour. Also I was shocked when I found out that Walgreens was charging me almost 50 percent more for my meds than Bobs Pharmacy. So shout out to you Bobs Pharmacy in Manteca.! P.S. I have never seen a place that has more disregard for it's customers than this place. The pick-up line of cars is ridiculous!! Drove up the other day and they had a family of 4 outside at the window getting tested for covid (only after I asked) that should have been tested indoors. The line of cars was wrapped around the building, I saw 2 cars pull out of line and leave. When I finally got to window I asked why those people were being served at window and CSR told me they were covid testing. I said you have people here waiting for some time and they are leaving. She replied oh well, they will come back. That's the second time I have got that response with people pulling out and leaving when the line was so long with cars waiting. So it tells me they could care less about customers, oh well they will come back. They think you have all the time in the world to waste time in line. Well...I've been coming to this Walgreens for years...tonight is my last time...I dropped off a prescription from my doctor yesterday and they only filled one of the two and gave me one pill of the other...then told me they would have my full Rx by around 4pm today...as you guess they never called and when I called at 10pm I got to sit on hold for 20 mins...when the guy in the pharmacy came online he was not understandable...he looked up my Rx and said that he saw what it said and that they would probably have my Rx in the morning and that I could call back then...I asked if I could transfer my Rx to any other Walgreens other than this one and he said sure that I could do whatever I wanted to do...then he put me on hold and came back telling me that he has my Rx if I would like to come get it in 20 mins or so. I got in the car and arrived 20 mins later to get to sit for another 10 mins and then to wait another 10 mins while he answered phone calls. I am so disappointed with this Walgreens...they should have 2 people working the pharmacy at night. Not sure that I am even going to stay with Walgreens at all. read more

The absolutely worst customer service at the pharmacy. The pharmacy was closed last night (24 hr service?) and I needed to pick up my prescription. My husband drove to the McHenry branch and was told they could not transfer it because there wasn't anybody at the Coffee Rd pharmacy to OK it but they will be open in the morning. Well, that gives us one choice and that's to wait until morning to pick up from Coffee. Went back to Coffee Rd to pick up my prescription this morning and they said it was transferred to McHenry! When leaving the McHenry branch last night, we were told to go back to Coffee this morning. After asking to have them transfer it back so we can finally get it, they said they can, but it's going to take two hours! This is not painkillers or some addictive drug that probably needs to go through some sort of protocol, it's a hormone patch I've had refilled at this branch for over 5 years! Why after all this and mistakes being made by one or more employee can't they fill it now? It comes in a box they slap a label on. They were so rude and it really makes me wonder what happened to customer service and making the customer happy? Looks like after going here for 15 years it's time to find a new pharmacy. read more

Carmen the pharmacists assistant was extremely rude. She can talk about texting her boyfriend but has an attitude when helping patients.She made her job seem difficult while she downplayed my concerns. They just let any one work with medicine now and it shows. I have had consistent problems with this store. Many of the people that work there graveyard shift including an Indian guy that is an assistant manager, and an older Filipino man have been rude to me. They apparently have a no backpack policy because of the kids that come after school during the daytime hours. I have been rudely told and gotten into arguments because of my bag that I have that I carry essentially as a purse. It has everything a woman's purse has in it. They have attacked me about this and want me to give it to them to keep stored behind their counter that is not being monitored and is right next to the front door. How many of you would surrender your purse with essential and private information in it...including your ID and Credit Cards to a store employee to sit behind a counter next to the front door while no employee is occupying the cash register counter because they are stocking shelves aisles away. I wrote letters to Walgreen's corporate and the Manager of the store called me. He said he would talk to the employees and take care of the problem. However, every time I went back to the store during the night hours the same thing happened. I got attacked about my backpack and eventually thrown out of the store by the Indian Assistant Manager. I am no longer allowed in the store according to him. So, since this store is so close to my house I used it as my pharmacy for prescriptions. It is open 24 hours and I literally live around the corner so it is very convenient. Oh no...rude rude rude people. I had so many problems with the customer service from the pharmacy employees. Again I wrote corporate office an email...the store manager called me. Still...the same mistakes were being made at the pharmacy. During my call to the store manager he was polite, but essentially defended his team for acting rudely. One time I called directly to the store assistant manager because the pharmacy was so rude to me and made a huge mistake on my prescription and this lady was NASTY on the phone! I'm done with Walgreens on Coffee Rd. It's too bad too because it seriously is right around the corner of my house and super convenient. However, I cannot spend money at a place that screws up and treats me like a criminal just for carrying a purse. I don't see them attacking women with big purses that go into the store. Just because I am a man they want me to surrender my personal belongings to them to be abandoned behind a counter to be stolen by some crackhead that walks in the front door when they aren't at or monitoring their counter with my purse on the floor behind it. This is not San Francisco, Oakland, or Berkeley. This is a suburban type area we live in. I don't think I should have to give up my purse while I am shopping. I feel like they are calling me a thief instead of respecting me as a customer that is giving them business and money. Not to mention the horrible mistakes the pharmacy has made. Forget you Walgreens. Plenty of other pharmacies out there. You have lost my business for good. I used to shop there a lot...I mean like every few days because I live 2 blocks away. It is inconvenient that I have to drive farther to pick up a few items I need here and there...but you aren't going to get another dime from me if you treat me with disrespect. I am a customer...and I think their might be some racism involved. I am pretty white bread...but my skin is not Lily white. I am a preppy guy...don't look like a gang banger or a crackhead. Still...I'm a tad brown...not that dark actually...not to be rude, but I'm not African American...just have olive skin...kind of look Hispanic maybe...I can't imagine what it would be like if I had a different appearance and tried to shop at this store.
