Worst service ever. Changing pharmacies. Not sure who gets hired at this establishment, but the pharmacists and their staff are AWFUL. What a joke. Went here for years and then moved due to incompetence and their shitty/childish attitude. My new pharmacy closed and our stuff got sent back here by default I imagine. Complaints: *On hold for 15 min. Minimum every time I call *Horrible attitude from staff - I'm bothering them. That's the vibe *Incorrect timeliness - 15 min. But it's really 30 min to an hour *Promised a time from the app, go in, pharmacist tells me it'll be another hour, I protest and now it's 15 min. Again - incorrect and inconsistent time frames, will I get my prescription today? Who knows, because I had the audacity to trust the pharmacists at CVS on Carpenter. *Told by staff to wait while they mix an antibiotic. I ask her - you'll call me right, when the med is filled? Yes. Me - shopping for A WHILE. Bc you know, I'm WAITING. Name gets called and staff laughs and says they thought I left. I'd been waiting the entire time and reminded her that my name was supposed to be called???? She just laughed and said again how they thought I'd left and it's been ready for a while. After changing my prescriptions to a different cvs bc they would not refill a prescription I had been getting for years, after days of going without my prescription, then calling me from Manteca at my job saying it's been resolved, just for the same pharmacist who called me to come, to tell me they wouldn't give it to me after rushing down there, I had a horrid experience just shopping there a couple weeks ago. I have been shopping there since it was Longs as a teenager, spending my McDonald's check on makeup. After shopping at Walmart for a few years, I decided as a teacher I wanted to buy make up there and enjoy myself. I had just gotten back from the gym and maybe looked like a horrible thief? Idk but Every five minutes the intercom would say (wherever k was) "customer service needed in cosmetics." Over and over. I started getting embarrassed when people started looking at me. Not one person came up to me. I went down aisle 8 to look for teeth whitening products, and not 1 minute later, I heard..."customer service needed on aisle 8." I was the only one there and people looked at me. There were only a few shoppers in the store, so it was very embarrassing. There were a few workers and so few customers, so if they did judge me and think I was stealing, at least a) come over to me and act like you were really giving me customer service or b) just tell the other workers to keep an eye out on me without announcing it to the whole store. None of the other shoppers had announcements like that. Like I said. I have been shopping there for decades and never once did anything but spend my paychecks there. The girl who checked me out was very unfriendly and acted like I was stupid when I asked a question about the app. When I went home feeling like I must look like a thief or something, I realized I didn't want to pay for this splurge. I felt better fighting the lines and asking for workers to open the locked in products at Walmart. I decided to talk to the manager, potentially returning my products . The manager defended the workers in a way saying that they don't have security measures but did admit that they should have at least come up to me (it wasn't like they were busy at all). I was like.... I don't understand why out of the 3 or 4 customers, I was singled out. The only reason I can come up with was how I looked which isn't very uplifting. I don't know why I ended up buying the products that night. I think I wanted to prove I wasn't a white trash thief they painted me out to be, but when I left, I was like, no, I'm not going to buy $100 worth of product that I was really just buying for fun as a splurge just to feel humiliated and demeaned and question myself presentation. Wasn't thrilled with customer service at all. Manager was ok I guess but still didn't really care. read more

I came to buy an alcohol for a gift on Christmas 2019 and asked the lady working in the carpenter cvs in the liquor department. I got the ugliest attitude she asked what do you want. I asked her for Hennessy and she showed me them In the cabinet but said well we've sold out this is all I have. I said ok maybe I'll take this one. My daughter came from the car to tell me she's going to check if the store across street was open and all of a sudden the lady said I won't sell this alcohol to you anyways. I was shocked I said why what happened and she said your daughter came in so she won't sell it to me any longer and said it's a good idea if I go somewhere else. I would give the pharmacy zero stars if I could. If you like your sanity and prescriptions entered correctly DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY. i've had multiple issues with my prescriptions being entered incorrectly. It's like they don't know how to read and interpret a prescription. They have done this with just about ALL my prescriptions. The Dr will write it out with directions and they cannot read them and enter correctly so you have to fight with them to get it right. Usually the Dr doesn't understand why they fucked it up and they don't want to send a new script. This pharmacy is horrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They need more schooling on entering scripts correctly!! read more

Today I went in for my covid booster, I filled out some paperwork for it and next thing you know the employee made an "error" and injected me with the flu shot. I didn't consent to this vaccine. I strictly went into CVS for the covid booster. Ended up leaving without the booster and with the flu shot that I didn't consent to. They were nonchalant about the mistake they made as well. I feel extremely sick from it and I'm enraged about this. read more

Ms. Nguyen asked to speak with me about me about a prescription that I had filled in 10/21 for ********** at Absolute RX. She told me that all RX should be filled at the same location(false.) and she needed to verify with the Absolute RX if I was taking any other meds from them. She had documentation in her hand that of my RX history absolute rx. She stated that she did not have a phone number for them to call and that I needed to provide them with a number so she can get my RX profile from them. She stated her "resources were not able to find a number for Absolute RX". I told her she did not need to see any profile of my medical history other than what has been sent to her to fill. Which she had. I used CVS to fill all my RX. She had all the documentation. I told her she had the documentation in her hand. She was adamant that she needed to call them and verify that the info is correct. She stated that she had the right to refuse to fill my I filled the a same medication type 15 days prior. There was no question about my prior RX history. I feel that she was being discriminating against me. If there were concerns, why not call me to address the concerns. She confirmed that she received my RX from my dr. at 1030am. I did not come into pick up my rx until 730pm that day. Ms. Nguyen humiliated me and had me explain myself and my med history in front of the store. Ms. Nguyen kept repeating this is my job. PER CVS own RX interaction list, there are no known interactions. She violated Article 10.5 Unprofessional Conduct 733-A(1) of Ca business and professions code. Her actions are purely discriminatory and reprehensible.She had no legal, moral or ethical reason to attempt deny me my medications. At the end, Ms. Nguyen made note on a paper if she sees a fill from them, she will deny my medication. I will never use them again. read more

This Pharmacy is the worst in all of Modesto. #1 the Pharmacist Is the absolute worst Pharmacist I've ever crossed paths with. She thinks she is doctor; (if you wanted to be one you should have done it; not torture people with your crap); she tried to get my daughters dentist (who by the way thought she was ridiculous) to change her pain meds to regular ibuprofen after getting her wisdom teeth out!! Let me pull yours out and tell you to go take an Advil!!! I was so livid I told her in front of everyone how inappropriate it was. She thinks she should decide if people should or should not get a medication; she ended up doing the same thing to my same daughter 7 mo the later with a completely different medication!!! It's all unacceptable. CVS really needs to deal with her; they also take days to fill medication past due dates: I mean what are they doing to where they can't fill in a timely manner; it seams deliberate and is habitual. Worst customer service ever. I walk in to CVS on Sunday and I have a backpack purse and they tried to tell me I had to leave my backpack with them like I'm a child or a high school student. I've been shopping here for a very long time, and can honestly say the store is going downhill fast. I don't understand how they expect to make sales as there are no baskets left to shop with. When I asked about this I was told the baskets had all been stolen. Maybe that's because the employees never bothered to get them in from the parking lot. There seems to be no effort to replace them either. I realize the baskets are costly, but you'd think they would make some effort to keep them from being stolen. The absolute WORST management. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the employees but honestly if I worked under such incompetent and malicious management, I'd be 'slacking' too. I've had personal encounters with both Amber and another manager, Melissa, and the experience was horrible. Both treated me with such disrespect and carelessness. Not to mention I've been at this store A LOT of times (ugh its convenient what can I say) and the way I see Amber and Melissa treat their employees is disgraceful. I've been going there for years and literally 90% of the old staff is gone. I don't know if they all simultaneously quit or were fired. I would not be surprised if it was the latter. This cvs is usually my go too there used to be some really sweet people that we would often see but the other night even helped them by letting them know when people would be stealing but this time my husband and I went in to get a cosmetic product that I couldn't find was starring around for about 10-15 mins until my husband told me to hurry up and choose because the whole time a staff worker was watching us probably thinking we where stealing when my husband was on his phone playing a games standing near nothing and I was standing not even right infron of the makeup in a tank top and latex shorts so even if I was trying to steal HOW would I without them seeing it RIGHT away lol I didn't get annoyed until I asked her for help and she was rude took me where I needed and then was standing behind us for even LONGER to the point that I just got a random concealer color hoping it would match because I felt super uncomfortable being watched like that she followed us all the way to the register where she said she was open and Ignored her didn't even look her way and paid on self checkout she stared at us walking out so friken weird read more

Staff was great once again. Someone saw me lingering a bit in one of the aisles trying to find allergy medicine amongst all the cold and flu medications. Someone came over and helped me read labels until we found what I was looking for. Thank goodness! I could've been there all night. Still waiting... different associate shouts out my name although I'm standing where the previous associate that just took your spot was cashiering, scans barcode again (other associate already did multiple times). Long Story here. I started going to Longs Drug Store in downtown Modesto with my parents in the 50ties. Yeah...I am that old. I always prefer to remain loyal to businesses I do business with. However the service at this CVS got to be so bad I finally left. I had a blood clot in my leg and went in for my medication...this was 7-8 years ago. I could not stand for long periods of time and you had to WAIT in line to drop off the scrip. Then when you came back to pick it up you had to wait in line again. Several times I cam to pick up my medications after multiple text messages telling me they were ready and had to stand in line for 15-20 minutes...only to be told the pharmacist was at lunch and I would have to come back later to get my medication. Then they started saying they had to check and make certain they had the drug. The pharmacist lied to me and told me she would not fill my scrip without phoning my doctor. I told her I would be back the following afternoon to pick up the meds. I saw my Doc the next morning and told him about the pharmacist,s comment. He told me she never called but when I left his office and went to CVS she tokd me she had called my doctor the previous day. I called her on her lie in front of several customers and she was livid...Why would she lie?On one occasion the store manager (Dwayne) told me to bring my own chair if I didn't want to wait in line. After many unsatisfactory events I was done. I went to Walmart. The clerk asked why CVS wouldn't fill my scrip. I told her they said they didn't have it in stock. (Vicodin) She laughed. The pharmacist thanked me for coming to Walgreens and told me they appreciated my business. There are many more events I could share about the terrible service but you get the idea. Then I went to my doctor office. When checking in the receptionist asked if there were any changes in my info. I told her only the pharmacy because the service at CVS was so very bad. She said, "I hear that alot." CVS your terrible service and extremely rude employees lost you an life long customer. I reccommend Walgreens on McHenry.
