I was discharged from the hospital this morning at 10, almost 11.. was told to pick up my meds from Walgreens today so I called at 12, not ready, 1, not ready, so I waited until the time I was scheduled to take my meds, which is 2pm, hoping it would be ready for me. I am pregnant with preeclampsia, have been in and out the hospital due to high blood pressure. VERY IMPORTANT for me to take my meds! I call at 2pm and it's not ready. So good thing I had a few high blood pressure pills prescribed from my OBGYN, so I take that,. Now it's 4pm and I call Walgreens to check on it again. I wait nearly a half an hour and get hung up on. I call again and I'm waiting 30 mins AGAIN, so I said F this, I will drive to Walgreens while on the phone. I pull in to the parking lot with 2 cars in the pharmacy drive thru! Today at 2:15 p.m. is the second time in the past few weeks that I drove to this "24-hour" Walgreens to pick up a prescription, only to find it closed with no explanation. The last time, the reason was some disorderly demonstrations nearby (looked calm & peaceful to me.) This time, I can't imagine why -- it was broad daylight with nothing going on. We made an appointment to get a COVID booster and when we went to the window that says Vaccine check in, we were told that we had to stand in the regular pharmacy line. The line was about 10 people and others said they'd already been waiting 40 min. What's the point of making an appointment if they don't honor your appointment time. This particular Walgreens location is a joke. They have so many pharmacy staff and only one person working the register. I've never been in there and not had to wait in line for 30-45 minutes. They pay no mind to the line and instead let people just walk up and bypass the line. I've had to tell people to get in line so many times and the cashiers roll their eyes as if it's torturing them to deal with it. Always order all my photo needs from this Walgreen's, (but I'm sure it doesn't matter which one you go to) including Christmas cards, prints, etc. I can upload pics from my computer to their website very easily, order them online and pay when I pick them up in store. You don't even have to prepay or enter CC# online unlike most photo sites. They offer awesome free decorative borders & photo effects and if you sign up via e-mail you get notices of when they're prints go on sale for like 10c. First off, I enjoy couponing as a hobby. I do not use coupons out of necessity, but simply because it is fun to get out and try new products (mind you many become donations to various local charities) I went to this Walgreens earlier today, and received THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my life! The cashier was rude, apparently couldn't differentiate between the numbers 1 and 2, and then did not accept an in store coupon they had in their new weekly ad. IN THEIR AD. I tried to patiently wait while she 'attempted' to make the coupon work by aggressively scanning it multiple times. A person stood in line behind me. Then another. And another person. Two more customers after that. All while this cashier just stared at the computer screen. She eventually called for her boss to come up front, who offered an additional zero assistance me; again just another shrug and blank stare. Another person joins the line of now angry customers. So now, here I am, a line of 15 angry customers behind me, waiting for this woman or her boss to just do something. ANYTHING! Finally, I tell her to leave the coupon off so that I could leave as fast as possible. She says okay, and waits for the receipt to print. After it has printed, I stick my hand out for it; by this point I was ready to die of shame and embarrassment. But no. She held on to my receipt and looked at it for a good minute. I assume this was to double check that everything was in regulation with the new coupon policy. As if harsh interrogation techniques and making me pull out items that had already been bagged so that she could 'double check' them wasn't enough for her. To top off the whole ordeal she threw away my unused coupon I will definitely not be returning. read more

Just pulled out of the drive thru LIVID that they would not fill my husbands antibiotic. After waiting for literally a half of an hour the pharmacist tech lady (?) tells me that because my husband has health net insurance (which they do not take) she cant give us the meds. And then tells us that it would have been $8.00 to pay cash (which I would have gladly paid!) however since she knows that he has health net and its illegal for anyone to not be insured she cant dispense the medication. Its 9:00 at night and I have a baby in my back seat! I cant believe I waited THIS LONG in a line THAT LONG only to be told to get lost! I'm American... In America. It should not be this hard to get a damn antibiotic. BE AWARE walgreens does not and will not accept any Healthnet insurance and will not allow you to pay cash once they think you might have Healthnet insurance. I received a text stating that I had one prescription ready for pickup. Since the text was sent two hours prior I was confident that I could go through their drive through and collect my med. Well, after almost an hour wait in their SLOW drive through, it was finally my turn. After giving her my name and birthdate the clerk disappeared. After more waiting the clerk finally turns up only to blurt out that it was almost ready and I should "Drive around" (her words) until it was ready. Oh joy, I got to wait in line all over again. This Walgreens stinks. The texting system is not reliable, obviously. Massive waste of time and gas. Walgreens doesn't care about that. What can I say that others haven't already said? Always either losing prescriptions or not actually entering them when called in by doctor. When you call to check on status they send you to a call center who are completely clueless. Then you have to argue for 15 minutes to get transferred to the actual pharmacy who may or may not know what is going on. This is the absolute worst Walgreens. All of them are pretty bad but this one is abysmal. I had an urgent prescription to pick up for my infant for her allergies. It was supposed to come with a mask because, hello, she's an infant. All it takes is a peek at the birth date. When I get there to pick it up, Vera, the "customer service" rep that "helped" me informed me that the doctor didn't send in for a mask. I told her to check again and lo and behold, the mask was noted as an accessory for the medication. She then , VERY RUDELY, informed me that if I wait there it's 30 minutes. I told her I won't wait there and asked again how long it would be if I didn't wait, because she didn't inform me. "A few hours" she says. A few hours could be anything lady. I asked for clarification and again, with an attitude, she said it would be a minimum of two hours. This is an urgent medication for my child. This is not the first time these types of oversights and issues have taken place with a simple medication pick up, for me personally it was the third. I've only been here for medications 3 times and each time they mess it up and keep me waiting. It's despicable. How they're still allowed to operate is beyond me. They were dealing with multiple other upset patients as well which tells me this is just business as usual at this location. I waited over 40 min In the drive-through line with only four cars ahead of me. When I got up to the window I couldn't believe how dirty and grimy it looked. Not to mention the homeless guy they allowed to sleep out front by the front door and the car that is parked out front with blankets hiding the inside of the car over the windows. I've been using this pharmacy on McHenry for 3 years now and I'm done. Changing pharmacies today. They never have my prescriptions ready when they say. They call to tell me my prescriptions are ready for pick up so I go inside to pick them up because drive thru takes forever and inside at the counter is really slow too, anyway, I finally get my turn 45 min in line with only 2 customers ahead of me. Just to be told my prescriptions weren't ready and they were even out of stock on my insulin for the third time in a row. I can't go without my insulin but all they say is check back in a couple days after there next shipment arrives. I'm not taking these meds because I enjoy it. I take them because I need them to stay alive!! I'm completely out of insulin now I called in the refill 3 days ago. Now what am I supposed to do. This is my most trusted pharmacy in Modesto. I've had some poor experiences at the other pharmacies down the street, CVS and RiteAid. It seems like whenever there is an insurance problem they always know a way to get it cleared and my scripts filled in a timely manner. I have been having prescriptions filled here for years as it is convenient to where I live, but I have had enough. I need the same medication filled every 60 days for chronic pain. But every time I come in it's like they have never seen me before and treat me like they could care less. I am so tired of "maybe we will have some in next week" Well you know what, I am out of it now and next week doesn't do me any good. I have started using Raley's on Tully and they are wonderful. Can't beat a store open 24h a day! I'm amazed sometimes to see the same staff working when I come in late and again when I come in early. Walgreens is a reliable chain, I'm familiar with the selection and it's really convenient to have one close by. In and out at lightening speeds! Candy cravings fulfilled at any time of day and after hours need of paper towels or toothpaste remedied promptly. Special mention to Jonathan who works at the pharmacy, offered me patience and a smile getting my prescription. This store has a great staff and is open 24 hours. Today the manager, Sonny, took the time to help me find what i needed, and he made sure i made the best choice money wise. The store is clean, well stocked and they actually care. I just switched some prescriptions over from another pharmacy that kept charging my insurance wrong. Now my insurance is done right, I get a text message when my medicine is ready, and I can pick it up anytime day or night. I also get money back every time I buy something using their club card. I called around midnight because I thought I had possibly overdosed on Metforman ER. I explained to the female pharmacist all the details of what happened. She seemed to be looking up something as she mumbled for several minutes. She finally asked how much I had taken and my dosage which I had already told her. I told her again and she kept mumbling and would not answer my original question, so I carefully repeated everything again. I said I just want to know if I am in trouble. She said you haven't listened to me and hung up on me. I was stunned and I must say a bit angry. She had rambled on, making no sense and had never in any way answered my question. read more
