What kind of Walgreens doesn't sell alcohol?! This one.... But, that is the only reason they loose a star because this Walgreens is clean, convenient and always well-stocked! I recently moved my prescriptions here because it is so close to my house and immediately liked it more than Longs. They were willing to call my old pharmacy, check in with my insurance company and troubleshoot when one of the prescriptions wouldn't fill. It didn't take long at all and they were very sweet about it, even when I realized I had forgotten my insurance card! They had pretty good sales and I signed up to get points rewards, which can also apply to prescriptions! I had to grab a make-up essential while I was there and was a little disappointed when they did not have Physicians Formula brand cosmetics but other than that, they seemed to have most major brands. They also had some good natural brands of face wash including say yes to carrots (yes, that is really a brand) and Burt's bees. I am looking forward to this being my neighborhood pharmacy! read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. Tech insisted that HMSA doesn't cover flu shots because they bill the pharmacy plan, & HMSA insisted that it is an immunization, not a drug, so medical will cover. Well, pharmacy tech was wrong and wasted 1 hour of my life. I had to make multiple calls just to find out she was wrong. Never go here for pharmacy!!! Twice this Walgreens has screwed up on my photo orders. I just put in my order when I get a message on my phone saying it was cancelled. So I try it again later and it goes through. But the photos I picked up were incomplete by comparing to my account order. Then I got another message saying to pick up my photo order which I already did but I went in anyway to see if they had the rest of my photos. Stupid guy at the photo counter didn't know what I was talking about, I even tried showing him the set of photos I picked up and the photos that were NOT printed that was in my order on my account (via my phone) to show how much they messed up. I also told him the phone message from them was wrong because I already picked them up because, duh, I'm waving the damn incomplete photo prints in front of them. Apparently, another reviewer here also had the same problem about automated picture order messages on their phone too. I'm never printing pictures there again because I understand mistakes happen, but the poor customer service just pissed me off even when I had proof. read more

This review has to do with the pharmacy. I called yesterday to see if I would be able to go to the pharmacy to pick up my breast pump paid for by my insurance. The woman on the phone told me that I just needed a prescription. I asked if that was all and she said yes. My doctors office is in town and I live in Pearl city so it's a bit of a drive for me, plus I also work so I got the prescription faxed to me. I got there today and I give them the paper. The girl took my id and insurance cards and got me into the computer. She said they would call if there was a problem. My husband and I left. We got to the front of the store and they called us back over the intercom. The girl told me that it was a photocopy of the prescription and I could not use it. They were not the friendliest right away anyway so that set me off. I ripped my paperwork off the counter and said forget it. While I don't frequent drug stores often this WG's gets 3 stars for cleanliness & selection. When I do make pit stops @ drug stores, I've always enjoyed how their seasonal aisle is full of items I don't need but enjoy seeing like oversized stuffed animals & huge tins of multiple rows of candy canes of all shapes/sizes/flavors. I'd give it another star if the prices were lower but drug stores don't make profit on the meds. They make margin on the incidental items you never intended to buy but end up doing so b/c you came to fill a script. Jus sayin. read more

I called Walgreens looking for Ritt Dye. The female sales clerk said in confidence that they had black Ritt Dye in stock. I asked if she was sure the restocked it and again in confidence she said yes. I drove to the store only to find that they do not have it. The sales clerk should not have said they had the product if she wasn't positive that they had it. It would have saved me the trouble of driving there. read more

Yelp 31 Challenge: 10/31 This has got to be my favorite drugstore on the island...well, tied for that covetted spot with the Long's in Mililani Town Center. The staff are always helpful and the lines move super fast! I have always been able to grab and go anything that I may need with little to no fuss. It really makes a difference to me when I go to a bigbox drug store and they have all of the sale items in stock. It must be because they have great management! read more

She is very understanding when returning or exchanging makeup that has been opened/used. We are frequent customers here at this Walgreens and usually Jolene or Jolyn is not so friendly but, today she pushed the bar to another level. My little sister started to put her things on the counter and the cashier looked at her, rolled her eyes, slapped her hand on the table three times and said, "I'm closing this register , you got to wait for her. " I am not sure if she was having a bad day but, for her to react like that was unacceptable. I think we will be going back to Longs. Even though we will pay a little more worth. HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! The girl working in cosmetics was eating on the floor and her shirt was up so you could see the strap of her thong. The woman covering photo ignored the customer waiting to process her film and continued processing negative rolls in the back. Assistant manager didn't know how to take passport IDs and i had to wait 30 minutes for either the store manager or the camera dept. Employee to return. I called after 10pm the night before Thanksgiving to see if I can pick up my prescription that was sent to another Walgreens pharmacy (which had already closed for the day and won't be opening until the day after Thanksgiving). The pharmacist was very helpful and pulled my records. He answered my questions about the medication and was willing to fulfill the order and have it ready for pick up that same night. We picked up in 30 minutes and it was ready when we got to the drive through window. Painless transaction. Thank you very much. This would have been my preferred pharmacy had there been no other Walgreens pharmacy nearby. read more

...This review is strictly a review of the Pharmacy department. Walked in today to dropped off a prescription to be filled. I was second in line and there were 2 pharmacy techs at the register, a dark haired male (probably in his mid to late 20's) and a female (probably the same age as the male) with long hair. Didn't get their names but I wasn't impressed at all with their customer service. They weren't pleasant with the customers they were helping. I'm not shocked cause it's been the case a couple other times I've been here, only reason I come back is because I live close by. Any way, both registers opened up simultaneously. The male pharmacy tech says, "Yes" and looks at the old man in front of me in the line. Well the old man wasn't paying attention and walked over to the female pharmacy tech. Then the male pharmacy tech looks my way and says "Yes". This time I'm confused cause I didn't realize that is how he calls the next person in line. So I look at him and he says "Yes" again but louder. I hold my composure because now I'm upset cause first off, we are customers and we should he greeted with respect. I all over and hand him my prescription and told him I'll be back later to pick it up. I was too mad to even say anything else and walked away. I suggest that the store manager teach their employees to be respectful. Even some of the cashiers up front are rude. It's also hard to find someone to help you when you are looking for something because there's always no one around. I guess they run a slim crew at night. read more

Decent amount of parking. While there isn't a tremendous amount of stalls, it's waaaay better then messing around with the parking at Kamehameha Shopping Center trying to go Longs. Maybe just my imagination but it seems a little smaller then other Walgreens. It's a good alternative to Longs in the way that Costco is an alternative to Sam's Club & vice versa. read more

If I can give no stars i would! So yesterday I was trying to make a poster using the Kiosk. The kiosk wouldnt allow you to connect unless you use a USB which wasnt supplied until I asked. So after 10 minutes of confusion on how to connect I finally asked the lady that was in-charge of the photo section that was just walking back and forth not minding if I have issues or not. She gave me a USB and so I connected it on the USB port. It didnt work! So I told her it didnt work. She said "well it worked for the costumer before you". I was like "is she serious she just said that? So I was like what do you want me to do? Tell me pls because im a costumer and Its my first time using this. Finally another employee walked by and said I have to connect from the side of the monitor. Oh well that fix the issue in 5 seconds!! I almost bought a USB because the lady incharge wouldnt come up with a solution! The issues didnt end yet!! So i finally purchased a poster size photo. it was for my daughters graduation. Kiosk said that it will be ready for pick up the same day at 4:30pm. But since I didnt need it yet I picked it up the following day. To my suprise the lady in the photo counter said its not ready yet!!! I was like the Kiosk said it would be ready by 4:30 yesterday! I didnt even finish fifnishing my sentence, she was like. "We are backed up!" I was like, you guys need to tell us in advance because if I needed this yesterday it woulve not been done! She was just silent and threw the receipt on the table. And left. I was like. Is this girl serious? So just a little rant that I experienced today (May 17, 2019). My wife was like they are lucky you are not a confrontational type of person. I called, looking to see if they had a "Playtex fridge to go insulated bottle cooler" which I needed as a baby gift. The associate asked what I was looking for and didn't even ask me to repeat the name of the item to make sure she knew exactly what i needed and quickly put me on hold. Then I was taken off hold and the phone rang and another associate answered and asked me what i needed and did the exact same thing, then it happened again and again!! Really? I had to repeat myself five times to five different associates, only so that the last one asked me to repeat what I was looking for and it took her not even a minute to check and get back to me!! A total of 9 minutes on hold with one minute of decent service. Horrible service from the four other associates!! Let me guess, they put me on hold and didn't even bother to check??? Laziness... Maybe I'm not there in person, but they should aim for great customer service all around. read more

Let me start by saying I have never shopped at Walgreens before and My experience today caught me off guard. I was expecting the store to be dirty (as most convenience stores are) with poor customer service and nothing on the shelves. What I got was a very clean and brightly lit store and every worker that I saw greeted me with a friendly smile and an offer of assistance. I found everything I needed and more at a very reasonable price thanks to my store card which was an absolute cinch to open. My cashier was efficient, friendly and even called me "ma'am".
