The person who answered my phone call today was very unfriendly and unhelpful. She gave me the impression she just wanted to get off the phone. I was recommended to this "surgeon " from someone who went to him for the price (she had an augmentation done). From the minute I walked into his so called "exam" room (more like a large storage closet with a dental chair) there wasn't even a chair for my daughter to sit during the "exam ". He was a complete incompetent idiot! He wasn't even going to do a physical exam! I am a nurse who was VERY sick with 31 different symptoms of BII and had already gone through every test and then was diagnosed with breast implant illness! This guy with his extremely poor bedside manner proceeded to tell me it wasn't my implants making me sick and that I should see an ophthalmologist!!! And said, why would you take them out, You don't know that is what's making you sick, you aren't gonna be happy if you take them out! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I had explant surgery three weeks later (obviously by a different surgeon) and the very next day my symptoms already were dramatically improved, as of now I am 4 weeks postoperative and out of my 31 symptoms 26 are at least 70% improved! I finally get to return to work next week after six months of not being able to even walk, breathe or function! If you have symptoms of BII it is REAL!!!! And this is NOT your surgeon! Dr. Hebrich is an amazing doctor. I had a terrible turkey neck. He did a lower face lift and neck lift. I had 40 stitches on each side of my face down my neck and behind my ears. It looked crazy when I first did it. But all those stitches made such a beautiful job you can't even see the scars. I'm so happy with it that I went back and had a tummy tuck! I went to Dr.Herbich about two years ago for my breast augmentation. I was very small busted (a cup) and told him I'd like to be much bustier and after much hesitation on my part, we ultimately agreed on 700cc. I expressed to him that I believed my right breast was a little smaller than my left and after an examination, he assured me that it wasn't (that's when I should have followed my gut and left). The surgery itself was as expected, extremely painful but ladies, beauty is pain! I followed up on my appointment and I immediately noticed my right breast implant sat much much higher than the left. I shared my concerns with both the nurse and doctor. In doc's words, " everything that comes up, eventually comes down. Gravity will do its thing and it'll settle. Best results are normally after a year." 2 years later and my overall results are extremely depressing. I feel more self conscious now than I did with my smaller breasts. I can't wear anything low cut as it's unevenness is extremely evident and nothing what I asked. I recently had an ablative procedure for scar reduction from a skin cancer removal. I have been a Registered Nurse for 40 years. The procedure was sterile and done with care. Ablative surgery can be traumatic but Dr Herbich and office staff give me thorough pre and post procedure education. The follow up care was amazing and beyond my expectation. I do not live on Oahu and had to fly in for the procedure. Dr. Herbich called and followed up on everything, even if the information, such as a recall on a prescribed medication became available on a weekend. Concern for the individual patient is everything. Heard of this doctor from friends of friends (who all love their procedures) so of course it would be "a must for me to consider this establishment! Called the doctors office, arranged a consultation date....upon the date of my consultation I met this WONDERFUL, helpful, cute nurse assistant named "Alicia"! A big thank you to her for her recommendation on the amount of "cc" or what you call your desired breast size, & level of profile! If it wasn't for her guidance I probably would've went smaller.....& that would have been horrible ): I ended up going w/ the 650cc, silicone (safer than saline) & high profile (bc of my body frame)! Post op pain was as expected and the results are satisfying thus far. It's currently a month and few weeks post op and my breast look beautiful and on the more natural side. I went in with 38B's and so far they're 38DD's. My brother and cousin waited in the waiting room during my surgery and they were being little brat's as kids should be, but the staff didn't mind whatsoever. Lol After surgery was done, the nurse woke me up and she was so gentle and her voice was sweet. I was filled with anxiety prior to surgery, but they were reassuring. It was comforting. I had been thinking about doing breast augmentation for a really long time and everyone always told me how expensive it was (around $10K in Hawaii) which is way more I cared to pay for. I thought of going to Miami to do it there since it's about $3K, but then one of my good friends told me about Dr. Herbich and how his prices are very reasonable. I went in for consultation in July of 2018. The staff was very friendly. One of the girls explained to me the different types of implants, etc. When I talked to Dr. Herbich, he's very straight to the point. He's not into giving lengthy explanations. He's been doing this for a really long time, so he will be very straight to the point. I told him that I didn't want to look too big, but also didn't want to look like I didn't have anything done. He recommended the amounts of CCs he thought would be good for my goal and also recommended a high profile. Dr. was about to go on vacation so I had to wait over a month to do my surgery. I was nervous that I would back out but knowing he did surgery on my friend and she looks pretty amazing kept me going. I'm more of a let's go do this now type of person, so the wait was nerve wracking. Needless to say when the surgery day came I was super super nervous. I arrived on surgery day in the morning. Once again, the staff was very courteous and helpful. I feel like everything happened so fast. I just remember waking up feeling ok and alert. Surgery happens right in office, so it's very convenient and you go home the same day. I have attended all of my post ops with doctor and he's even given me laser to improve my healing (I tend to form keloids). The fact that he's a dermatologist and has all these lasers in office it's a super plus (and all included in the price I paid for surgery; I've never been asked to pay a dime more). I would definitely recommend Dr. Herbich. I feel like you don't get the bells and whistles like seeing yourself in a computerized before and after, but the man definitely knows what he's doing. First two times I came to visit for Botox, it was great. Dr, Herbich and his assistant were pleasant, they answered my questions attentively, gave me a stress ball for the pressure and talked me through it. Third time, complete opposite, and he also tried to up-sell (red flag), but I figured it may have been a busy day. My fourth visit was the most unpleasant however. They told me to come in early since they weren't actually busy that morning. Dr. Herbich disagreed with the minimal amount I wanted in my forehead after I tried to explain to him that I still want motion in my expressions and there were only specific areas that I needed a touch up. He began to jab the needles in my head with barely a warning or a moment to hear me, and proceeded to assure me I needed at least 50 units which is ridiculous for my age and contradictory to what he said prior which is "you barely even need it". Now my forehead is completely frozen and I absolutely hate it. It'll probably take months for my muscles to regain movement since I know for a fact that I simply needed a touch up. It was scary while it was happening and still looking back on it. You would think a plastic surgeon would want to listen to your needs and give you the results you desire. He made it evident he just wants the money and is bored. I asked his opinion on chin fillers and his answer was the cherry on top... he recommended the most invasive thing I've never thought of... to break and reconstruct my entire jaw. I asked his assistant a simple question on my way out about the prices and she cut me off mid sentence with just a "bye". I wish I could get a refund; this entire experience was absolute bs. Dr. Herbich is an amazing doctor and I definitely recommend him to all of my friends. I have personally had some laser procedures done and they were always pain free and quick. Any time that I had questions, the doctor did not make me feel uncomfortable by asking them. He always had a great attitude and seemed busy (as far as a schedule). The more people the better. He must be doing something right. I am now going in for a consultation of a small tattoo that I have. I heard he is supposed to be the best as far as tattoo removal on the island of Oahu. I would give this guy a negative star if it existed. I had a laser treatment done on my body and I was very worried about it because talking to Dr herbich was not very comforting. He did not offer any insight of the trwatment, the way it was going to go down or the treatment I needed after the procedure. He just said yeah come in and I can do it. When I came in he had me in the room alone until he came in and just started injecting needles in me to numb the pain. Then all of a sudden he says, "are you ready". He was not sure exactly where to perform the treatment he just starting going for it. He then did a whole spot around the actual area needed and then he just goes to town on me. His machine was not working properly and he ended up hurting me and when I said ouch he said sorry its the machine. When the procedure was over the doctor (her...bich) left the room and I was left with a horrible pain and it looked like a disaster. The area was totally bruised and bloody and gnarly. He didnt patch it up, he just told his assistant to put some vaseline on it. I was so embarrassed to even leave his office cause this was on my face. When I came out to his loby everyone in the waiting room was looking at me like I was some freak. I was sore for 3 weeks, couldnt go to work and was not given proper instructions on how to take care of the area treated. Then months later when it all healed up I relized that it was scared. I called her...bich up and complained about my scare and telling him that he only made it worse. Then he asked what color the scar was and I replied red. He said to come back in so he could use another laser to remove the red scar...I said no freakin way man! I am not coming near you or your lasers. Also when I came in for that first consulting, I saw this poor girl with a really bruised up face after she had some shots done for who knows what and she seemed completely scared and looked panicked. She was also embarrassed to leave his office and face the lobby cause her face was totally deformed. Ill be honest here folks, at first glance you see a nice web site and a prestigious address and you think yeah this looks good. DONT BE FOOLED! This guy is a scary ass doctor who doesnt care about any bodybut his reputation of being a "plastic surgeon". He hits on his patients and talks to these girls like they are a piece of meet wanting to give them breast implants and then date them after cause he thinks he is cool. Stay away for what ever reason. Do your research and seek real doctors on island or off and get the right treatment done at the right place. You are the one who has to live with the result after not him. He just cashes in and makes bank, he doesn't care about his patients unless you are a hot blond getting breast implants and want to go on a date with him. BE CAREFUL!!! read more

I really like coming here for my monthly shots on my face. I'd must admit it was pretty painful and I always tear when I get them but it really works. My acne disappears the next day. After the shots he always offers to help me do other treatments such as scar removal but he doesn't tell me how much it is or how it works. He just walks out of the room before I could respond. He is no where to be found (maybe he went in his office or with another patient) so I just sit in the room wondering if he is going to come back or should I just let myself out? I just usually let my self out and make a following appointment. even thought he didn't tell me to do so. He is a really cool guy that's been all over the world so if you need tips when your traveling you should definitely ask him. Other reviewers says he is not a people person but you just have to talk about the right topics. If you ask a lot of questions he would also be more than happy to answer them. He is really smart and got his medical degree when he was only 25 years old. The wait is usually pretty quick unlike some other doctors offices I've visited where I had to wait an hour after my appointment time to see the doctor. The most I've ever waited at Dr. Herbich office is 5 minutes after my appointment time. I would recommend him over most of the dermatologist I have been to. read more

Dr. Herbich is a great doctor if you have money or HMSA. I called prior and scheduled an appointment for today, specifically detailing my insurance coverage. Whoever answered the phone ASSURED me that they accept Medicare Supplement insurance with United Healthcare/AARP. Upon arrival I present my card, I was told that they didn't accept Medicare and especially not my Plan F which covers all of my co payments. So, me a handicapped person walking myself thru the pathways of downtown with a cane is no picnic. So rude and incompetent staff. I'd like to add I've been a patient of Dr. Herbich for more than 10 years. Due to the hassle created by his staff I will no longer be a patient. My wait time was a bit long, but Dr. Herbich is a busy guy, so no big deal. I came to Dr. Herbich to get a tattoo removed, a pretty big one too. He looked it over carefully and asked me if I would like to be sedated for the procedure. He gave me a shot and I felt good and relaxed afterwards. His nurse injected lidocaine in several places around the tattoo to take the edge off. Dr. Herbich began the laser removal and it was virtually painless. It was great! He was lighthanded, careful, didn't rush, and we chatted the whole time. I don't understand all these other ratings and why they are so bad. He may not be the most chipper guy on the planet, but I happen to like his no nonsense personality. He's not mean or anything. He was very gentle with me and I trust his work. read more

I did tattoo for eyebrow looong time ago in my twenties and regretted. That time thick eyebrow was in and when I got older the tattoo change the color. It becoming greenish bluish. To make thing worst, it's also bleed inside the skin. So 2006 I found him and did eyebrow tattoo removal. He is a very smart guy. He is kind of quiet. He asked me question and also answer my question and concern. I had 4 sessions with him and he actually told me to do 2 more. I should listen to him tho to do 2 more time but that time my money was only enough to do 4 session and I was happy with the result. My thick stupid big blue eye brow become smaller dan lighter. If you're interested in tattoo removal you should see Dr. Herbich. I've been seeing him for the past year and had a total of four treatments so far. I'm not sure how many more I will need but I've definitely seen great results so far. My dads coworker recommended that I see Dr. Herbich and I read the reviews on yelp before making an appointment. I have to admit I was a little nervous after what other people wrote about him but I've had a completely different experience with him. He hits the tattoo with the laser twice in one session but he is careful not to overdo it and cause scarring. He doesn't promise results he can't give you and he doesn't let you come back for another appointment too soon because you need to wait six to eight weeks for the best results from each treatment. His prices are incredibly reasonable and I feel like he does his best to have the client get the most for their money. Dr. Herbich is very gentle and friendly while performing the procedure. His staff is also nice and his office is a really comfortable environment. As for the procedure itself, he numbs the area which is obviously not totally pain free, but it's tolerable, especially considering you've already experienced needles going into your skin in the exact same area. The lasering however IS completely pain free. The area is completely numb and you cannot feel a thing. After the numbing wares off, it feels like a burn...because it is...but after a few days, it begins to heal. It can become a little itchy by the end of the week. read more
