Dr. Cho isn't just a surgeon - he is an artist. My abdomen was crisscrossed with surgical scars from a vertical c-section and a bikini line hysterectomy. It was unflattering, and although I wasn't overweight, my abdomen was far from flat, bulging around each of those scars. I felt uncomfortable in my skin, clothes did not fit right, and I just wasn't happy. A consultation with Dr. Cho put me at ease about my decision to move forward with an abdominoplasty, and the results are incredible. I interviewed with several surgeons before finally deciding on Dr. Cho. Besides his amazing bedside manner and his ability to put me completely at ease, Dr. Cho was the only surgeon I interviewed that insisted on keeping me overnight in Straub Hospital after the surgery. Even with that overnight stay, the cost was comparable to that of the other surgeons. The other surgeons all intended to send me home after surgery. After experiencing this major surgery, there is no way I would have been able to go home afterwards, much less care for myself during that first 24 hours post-surgery. I am also grateful for the care and concern provided by his amazing staff before, during, and after my surgery. It's been nearly three years since my surgery and the scars are, for the most part, invisible. Dr. Cho had me come back to restitch the "dog ears" of my trans-abdominal scar as well as my old belly button because he wasn't 100% satisfied with how they looked. (My original belly button had to be moved, and Dr. Cho crafted me a new one which is an absolute work of art.) He did not charge me for that follow-up service. For the record, I thought the scars looked fine, but Dr. Cho is a perfectionist, which I appreciate! This review is in regards to a phone call that I made today to this office. I'm interested in doing laser hair removal so I called to inquire about pricing, and the type of laser that they use here. I called trying to schedule a consultation appointment for breast reconstruction and was told I couldn't be seen there because I was being seen at queen's. Then the receptionist added insult to injury by saying if I was a burn victim they would see me. Dr. Cho performed minor surgery to remove a foreign object lodged in the bottom of my foot with the skin healed over the object. I attributed this object to the pain I was feeling im my foot. My Dermatologist at Straub referred me to the Plastic Surgery department to have a painful lump under the skin behind my right ear removed. Dr. Cho performed the procedure under local anesthesia within a half hour and removed three cysts. Immediately after doing so, the pain was gone, and he stitched up the incision (about 1.25 inches long). I went home with antibiotics, and he removed the stitches one week later. The incision is healing nicely, and I'm thankful for Dr. Cho and his good work. read more
