Dr Chu lied and produced a signed letter stating my medical records were destroyed. Luckily I had a copy, when the state questioned him he said it was a mistake. Dr Chu responded with they were misplaced. If they were misplaced why sign a letter saying they were destroyed? How did they get misplaced for a MICP review? Then magically found AFTER my statues were run out? Shady. And how could I when you had "misplaced" my records come to you to fix all the mistakes you said Schlesinger committed. Dr. Chu was the best experience ever. I wasn't hesitant when choosing him because I've heard so many great things about his practice. I'm so happy with my results. The healing process was of course a challenge for me but Dr. Chu was super attentive to me with every question and concern before, during and also after my BA. I'm so so happy I chose to go with him. This is my second time seeing Dr. Chu for breast augmentation. My first surgery was in 2013, and I did not take the proper care advised by Dr. Chu. I typically do not scar well (prone to keloids), so we went with the textured implants, unfortunately I did end up getting capsular contracture in both breasts. Listen to Dr. Chu...I did not. I didn't wait long enough to start wearing a bra, and I did not do the massages as long as I was told. Also, the workouts I was doing throughout involved a lot of arm movements and push-ups, which did not help my case at all. After seeing Dr. Chu the second time he advised we do a breast revision to remove the extra scar tissue that had developed. He also advise we go with a different implant, as the textured really didn't do it's part in preventing additional scarring (my words not his). Dr. Chu is great. He doesn't beat around the bush, he's honest, and is very thorough. I am definitely super cautious this time around and am listening to everything that was advised. Just recently came in for a lip lift. I've had filler since i was 19. The thing about lip filler is it can make you look like a duck. Or if you get bad filler it could migrate and make you look like you have a cat mouth . This is by far the most undetectable surgery in the history of ever ! He puts the incision in your nostrils so you cannot even see it now my lip has a natural pout to it and still looks full . Will save me time and money from always having to do filler . I have known Dr. Chu for a very long time. He is extremely well and soft-spoken to his patients. His methods in plastic surgery are often ahead of his time, standing out above other plastic surgeons in Hawaii (and quite, frankly the nation). I have always felt confident walking into Dr. Chu's office as he was extremely transparent during consultations and throughout the process, and has always had a meticulous eye for what he does. I wish I could give 5 stars, but overall a fairly good experience. Got my BA done in aug and it's now October with great results! Bad first: My main problem is the rushed feeling he gives me when I ask questions and when explaining aftercare. Same goes for the nurses who sometimes are either tired or just sick of being there for the day. Not much care it depends on the day I've had good and bad. More bad after my money was received... He is a quiet and smart man, but sometimes sassy lol. I felt at times that he made me feel my questions are dumb or I'm asking too many. I get it he's been doing this for years and he hears the same things over and over but still, for $10,000 I think I can expect some patience. I had to call after appointments multiple times bc things weren't explained thoroughly or it was so rushed I was too stunned to think of more. I'm calling again today because no one called me back on my questions when I left a message... My tip: think long and hard about your questions ahead of time and don't let them chase you out the door. Now good: my breast look great!!! Bigger than I expected but I'm sure I will soon adjust. The man is brilliant with the knife and his results show with his countless perfect results. I hope they will continue healing well. He took the time at my consultation to explain every little thing from incision site types, implant types, what's best for my body etc. I had previously almost got my breast done at shim Ching and I'm 10000% glad I went to chu. My consultation at shim was the same amount of time, but the sales consultant was the one that literally explained everything, then doc came in for TEN MINUTES to confirm everything. Wtf? Chu really made sure I understood everything I was getting myself into. He is concise but he means well. I am a worry wart so maybe the miscommunication is on the both of us. OVERALL YES. GO TO HIM.
