I was in town on a business trip and got hit by a ridiculous allergy attack. Was able to get the meds I needed to get a good sleep and not sneeze all over my coworkers the next morning. Do not get your passport photos made here! I walked in and specifically requested a digital photo. I was told I would get two paper photos and a digital one would be emailed to me. The paper photos looked fine - centered, the area around the white screen cropped so the background was pure white, head scaled to the correct size. Imagine my surprise when I received the email photo which was the BEFORE photo before the sizing and cropping! Of course the online passport service rejected that! I was told Walgreens always sent the original (what good would that do anyone for a passport photo?) and if I wanted a photo that matched the correctly formatted paper ones, I'd have to pay another $6 to get it on a memory stick! Very frustrating as my whole point was to get a usable digital photo - I had no need at all for the paper ones. read more

Stay far far away from this Walgreens. Any other pharmacy in Charlotte will give you better service. It's the slowest place I've ever dealt with. The techs saunter around, no one is ever in a hurry, they just can't be bothered. The average time for the drive-thru is 10 minutes per car, I know because there is nothing better I have to do while waiting lol. Oh and don't bother calling the corporate office, they really don't care. Great location across from the Taj-ma-Teeter! Sometimes the wait at the pharmacy can be lengthy but they are quick filling the prescriptions. It's a super easy location to get in and out of with lots of parking. They always have what I'm looking for and then some. I always make sure to check out all their clearance items with the orange flag for great deals. They have inexpensive Christmas gifts that are perfect for that last minute person on your list (that you may have forgotten !) I get my medicine filled here and they are usually fairly fast but sometimes the line to get to the counter can back up. This is my go to location for wal greens. Very grateful for this 24-hour Walgreens. I work late at night, so it's my go-to .. but mainly it's bc I am consistently always welcomed with a smiling face when walking through the door, by employee, Xyshawn. Whenever I need help or have a question, he is always available and so helpful! Every time that I see him, he is hustling and working hard - continuously helping other customers. His customer service is surpassing extraordinary. If he didn't seem so happy at his place of work, I would most definitely offer him a job. I would hire Xyshawn on the spot! READ THIS BEFORE DROPPING OFF A PRESCRIPTION!!! I'm giving a two star because the staff was nice to me....but, I came from out of town for surgery. Because one of the meds was a controlled substance, I had to fill it in North Carolina. I arrived around 10:30 am and dropped my script off. They said to come back after 2 pm. We came back at 3:30. The drive thru line was out to the road with multiple cars waiting, so I went inside. Inside was even worse. I waited almost 45 minutes only to get to the counter to be told that there was an insurance issue. She said it was fixed now but I would have to come back in 30 minutes to pick up the script. While I was waiting for the script I realized that my local Walgreens had not filled an antibiotic I needed. So, when I returned to pick up the first script (another 25 minute wait in line), I asked them if they could transfer and fill the antibiotic (my mistake, I should have had them transfer ANYWHERE but this location). They said the script would be ready in ten minutes. I waited the ten minutes, but the line was once again 10 people deep. The next morning I returned to pick up the script that I need for surgery. The drive thru line was to the street with cars waiting again, and the inside line is long as well. We got in line and waited 35 minutes. We were finally second car in line and could see the car sitting in front of us. It sat there for 8 minutes without even being addressed. We ended up having to leave because I couldn't be late for my surgery. The staff told me that this location is always this busy. If you know you have wait times exceeding a half hour, the issue should be addressed. read more

Then the South Park 24 hour repeats outgoing message every 10 seconds for over 32 minutes, according to Verizon, only to have them disconnect. How can any service provider show any less concern for customers? Employees tend to treat customers the way managers treat employees. Look elsewhere for better service. read more

This Walgreens is my local and they're open 24 hours. Unlike some other pharmacies that close when it starts to get dark out, these guys are here all night long. Like every other Walgreens, they have a huge selection of personal care items, basic meds and remedies, a few food and snack items, photo developing center and seasonal items (Valentine's, St Patricks, Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas, etc.). My daughter with special needs and needed a medication that my primary pharmact did not have in stock. They contacted the Walgreens on Morrison that had it in stock and faxed paperwork over. I show up and not only did they lose the requesT, they were less than helpful in resolving the issue. Meanwhile my daughter is getting sicker. I am typing this in line as I am pissed. Find somewhere else for healthcare needs. update- they asked me to come back 2 hours later saying it would be ready. I followed instructions and when I arrived they lost the script again. There is one gentleman that is trying to help, but either they are not willing to help of horrific at their job. Worst pharmacy I have ever visited. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

This is honestly the worst Walgreens. I always say I'm going to switch but I never do. It's almost like they try to fuck up your prescriptions. This is a Russian Walgreens. Why you might ask, well my wife tried calling them to just confirm their hours and after being put on hold for 35 minutes, they hung up on her. I went to get her prescription at 8:00 pm on a Wednesday night and finally got out at 9:20. They had a grand total of 3 employees and the drive thru was closed. If this was an isolated case I wouldn't be complaining, but several times I have called in refills, arrive way past the promised time, only to be told that my prescription didn't show up on their delivery. So just like Russia, you wait in line for hours and leave empty handed. I move most of my prescriptions to the one on Fairview Rd in the South Park Shopping Center parking lot. They may not be open 24 hours but there is never a long line and they usually have my prescriptions on time. It's your choice Comrade. read more

I was so excited to see that this location had a 24 hour pharmacist. I arrived to pick up a medication that I thought I had transferred to the store via a phone call automated system, that wasn't the case but the pharmacist quickly rectify the issue. I went to Walgreens yesterday afternoon and thought this was going to be a horrible experience... BOY was I wrong!!!! Thanks to Jaz she was a absolute delight!!! I waited maybe if even a minute for help with getting a couple of pictures printed up. I am not a tech person at all, she came up to the counter with a smile on her face and actually assisted me through the whole process and ended up doing everything for me. We had a great conversation, which was refreshing. I know places like this normally do not have the best service BUT Jaz is a Diamond in the ruff and I truly hope Walgreens know how lucky they are to have her! This location is open 24 hours including the drive thru, so if you need your prescription NOW and it's late - no worries - this location will be open. They also have a lot of the last minute stuff that you need. I always end up running over here for water or kleenex or some such nonsense. Thanks, Walgreens! Convenience makes me a happy woman. This Walgreens is open 24 hours a day. I haven't gone in at all hours of the night, but I like knowing that I could if I needed to or wanted to. Most of the employees I have encountered are nice and greet me when I walk in. For a while there, they were routinely out of whatever prescription I needed. Thankfully, the pharmacy has stepped up their game the last few times I was in and the problem seems to be resolved. The pharmacy is really great about ordering a product they may not have on stock and getting it in within the next day. That's service! You know what else makes me happy? Saving money. Hmmm, it's a love and hate relationship sometimes. Depending on whose working in the pharmacy, I either get ignored at - and would transfer my drug to their competitor. But then my own insurance cost more - making me transfer back. Luckily, since I have been back, I have had better service. This place is so convenient, depending who is working, the staff overall are friendly! I like this place because they carry my favorite ice cream brand that I miss back in Texas - Blue Bells! It's just yummy, fresh, creamy, and delicious. So convenient to have a 24/7 pharmacy! Just yesterday, I informed them about not bringing in my balance card at the time of the previous purchase, and the manager was kind enough to fix it for me. He did not hassle me with any questions! That is what makes me want to continue being a loyal Walgreens customer. read more

I waited 30 minutes in the drive through before being told there was an insurance issue and to wait for a call and come back in about an hour. Received an automated call saying RXs were ready. Called and spoke with pharmacy tech, who confirmed all were ready. Arrived in the store 10 minutes later and was told to wait 15 more minutes because the prescriptions were not ready. I really wish I could give them zero stars. I used not to have any problem with this location, but the past few months have been terrible. Can't get through on the phone, get too many reminders too early and have found out 48 hours later my meds were not in stock even though I received texts saying meds were ready. I haven't been able to get meds without multiple trips and/or phone calls in months. I will not be using this location or any other Walgreens in the future. I've had to change pharmacies due to mine closing on South Blvd, and ever since I've had nothing but rude and inconsiderate people at this location. I used to be at the university location before I moved and they were always really nice and gave me times when I could come pick up my prescription, worked with me when I had an issue. This location at Morrison, you get "I'm not really sure, they are working on it" trying to rush you off the phone when they could clearly just ask the pharmacist what is going on. read more

It is the only 24hr Walgreens in the area. It has a larger volume than the others in the are. When it is before or after the closing time of the other Walgreens in the area, it gets super busy. People need meds 24/7. People is plural, meaning it's more than one person. Lines are going to be long. Things aren't going to be perfect. Systems put in place to sped things up have helped add to the issues. As long as you're alive, you can be patient. A patient patient. It's easier to get the job done, if we don't yell and make things worse. :D read more

Pretty standard Walgreens. It's funny that even if I don't live in the SouthPark area, I find myself wandering in here to pick up all sorts of odds and ends. Sometimes it's random junk food late at night, other times it's a morning trip here to pick up air fresheners, and once in a year, it's a quick stop to pick up a Father's Day card on my way to the post office. I can also swing by for my skin moisturizers, face lotion, aftershave and all the other manly products. For the degenerates - feeling broke and alone on Friday night bc your date called it off at the last minute, which works out because you didn't get your paycheck this week anyways? Nothing like a cheap bottle of wine from Walgreens can't fix, amiright? They've got everything... sadly, even cigarettes, despite CVS and Rite-Aid's stance of anti-cancer. There's always a line here but it moves relatively quick. But if there's more than like 3-4 people in line, they are quick to get someone to help out at the registers.
