Needed to pick a few items I missed packing. It was an adventure to find this store. There is a W that is outside the Omni hotel, but it is not in the Omni hotel. It is around the corner on Tyron located inside a building with other shops and eateries. Plenty of options to choose from in a wide variety of categories. It seemed like some things were overpriced. Lack of selection with energy drinks. Staff was informative but not so much to guide you to the item/s you're looking for. More of, "it's over there". There was a line of about 10 people for quite some time while I was there shopping. Eventually when I got in line there was only 5 people in line. This place is VERY popular. Store is VERY clean. Being that it is in downtown uptown it gets lots of foot traffic. read more

This was a huge Walgreens in a high volume tourist area. So it has lots of items/products including wines and spirits and pharmacy. I saw many good deals on variety of items. Photo printing section was fully functional. The was clean and well maintained. There was only one associate at the register that was bottlenecking the checkout process. read more

Located near the Omni hotel this location is super convenient if you need to grab and items while in Uptown. Note: This store is always bustling so they at time have out or stocks on things like water and sodas. read more

One of the nicest Walgreens I've ever seen, particularly the beauty section. It was a bit harder to find because I did not understand it was located inside Founder's Hall. Plenty of options to choose from and even an attempt at a healthy food section. Plenty of staff available to ring your purchases and I want to say one counter provides mailing services as well; never seen that in a Walgreens before. read more

This Walgreens is in a good location. Convenient for many people and decent pricing...especially for sale items and the pharmacy. Pickup while at work on break. Lines can get long at peak hours but not too bad. Always have a good amount of staff on the registers and available. Located in the BofA building/Omni Hotel. Peking gargles around as well. read more

I come here semi-frequently and the location is very convenient, right in the middle of Overstreet Mall. Unlike Overstreet Mall, Walgreens is open after 5pm and on weekends. They are pretty well stocked for this to be a smaller version of their store. I come here for snacks, makeup and beauty items. They also have greeting cards although the selection is much slimmer than what you will find at a full store. Just don't ask to use the bathroom on the weekend, although it says that you can get a coin inside Walgreens (you need a coin to unlock it), the employees will tell you they have no idea what you're talking about. Super convenient to have a Walgreens in the Overstreet Mall area. Probably doesn't carry as much as a "regular" stand alone Walgreens in the burbs, but the selection they have here is decent and will help you usually get what you need. I needed a mailing envelope so I was surprised to see that they had a "back to school" seasonal section aisle with discounted school supplies. Must be for those parents that are in a hurry and need to pick up some school supplies for their kids so they don't have to make an extra stop on the way home from their busy day. Needless-to-say, the evenelopes were located in the regular office supply section and I was on my way. The folks at the registers were super nice and there can be a line sometimes depending on the time of day that you go but they are pretty good about keeping the line moving. Full functioning pharmacy and health & beauty sections here too... again... not as big as a regular store, but it looks like they have options. read more

I'm from out of town and sick in a hotel. I ordered crackers and soda to be delivered (first online delivery I've ever placed). They said it would be delivered by 7. Instead I received an email (didn't text like I requested) saying the order was delayed with no new delivery time. By the time I saw it, the places I could have tried to walk to were already closed. I'll never shop with Walgreens again! So pitiful read more

Ok, yes, it's a drugstore, but I am a fan! Being in Uptown Charlotte it is hard to find a place to grab something quick, from a drink, aspirin to even a greeting card. This Walgreens, located in Overstreet Mall, is the place to go. It is in the heart of the Overstreet Mall so easy to stop at when grabbing a coffee or lunch nearby. The store is a lot larger than I thought and it is always stocked. The one thing I do find amazing is no matter how crowded it is the line moves so quickly and each employee has a smile on their face. Overall, a definite added bonus to Uptown! read more

The most modern Walgreens I've ever seen. Very big, very bright, very clean with lots of cash registers open for check out, including one at the back of the store. It's a very convenient location that is easy for the Wells Fargo and Bank of America crowd to get to without having to go outside if the weather is nasty. Beyond that, it's a normal Walgreen's with all the items you expect to find at a chain drug store. read more

I recently had an issue with an exchange at this store that l should have just addressed in the moment, but didn't. An email to Walgreens the next day resulted in a call from the manager within hours and an offer to make it right. While certainly I would prefer to not have an issue, this level of responsiveness can not be beat. read more

Hello Friends, Can't believe I'm the first to write on this new new Walgreen's. Its located across from the Starbucks. If you know where the ONLY Chick-fil-A is uptown/downtown (I mean which one is it? Uptown or Downtown). If you are outside coming from Jason's Deli you take the little walk way into the Overstreet/BOA Plaza (I think its called) building, in front of you will be Starbucks and to the RIGHT is the New Walgreen's. (Hey, ask Siri on your "New" IPhone to help you find it) but when you do.. Vwahllaaa!!! This is nothing different from any other Wallygreens as far as I can tell. It is nice, new and bright inside. photo development, pharmacy. They have all the little in and out stuff at the front of the store for us "in & outter's" and more of the take a gander stuff in the middle and further to the back of the store. I didn't make it back that far.. well.. well.. because I'm one of the "in & out" kinda guy just stopping in to pick up some snacks and juice. Go, enjoy... Till next time.. TTFN! read more

Our job's insurance switched to Walgreens, and it has been the biggest nightmare of my life. They never have medication stocked, at more than 3 locations which is a huge inconvenience to customers. Customer service is and has been the absolute worst. Everyone apologizes, but can't do anything to assist you in no way shape or fashion. I have never had such an unremarkable experience in my entire life! I would hope that this feedback gives them an eyeopener, and force them to re evaluate the way they do business, because Rite Aid went above and beyond to provide customer excellence. I strive to provide excellent customer service daily, and I expect the same in return. The Novant location and the 101 S Tryon locations both has failed to provide customer service and this has been on two occasions with both locations. I will fill my final prescriptions with them, but will never return, nor will I refer anyone to Walgreens moving forward. read more

With its uptown central location, this Walgreen's is a high traffic store. However, most days, there is a cashier at every register and they are always courteous. Today, I bought 2 frappucinos, which were labeled as 2/$3 (normally 1.99 each). They didn't ring up correctly and after I informed the cashier, she changed it without any hassle. Good customer service and common sense prevail. read more

Never enough cashiers to cut down line. Photo center takes forever to print images since they are trying to relieve the long lines.

Pathetic (non-existent) customer service. When you need to buy merchandise that is locked on its shelf you have to push a nonfunctioning button to call for help. Never came because the button doesn't work. Once you stand in line to request help the announcement is made and you wait for help. Never comes. Are they understaffed? Poorly trained? Do not use their photo center!!! Ordered a canvas photo and got an email that it was ready, got to the store and was there for 20 min just so they could scramble to find it. Turns out they couldn't find it. Asked for my last name about 30 times. Girl says "are you sure you didn't put the order in under a different name?" like I'm an idiot. Saw they had a check mark next to my picture on the computer indicating it had been done. They said they'd have to do a reprint which could take a few days. I said forget it and left. On Tuesday February 13, 2018 I dropped off a prescription at the Walgreens on Freedom Drive in Charlotte NC. It was about 3:00 p.m. Was told it would take an hour and that someone would call me when it was ready... On Wednesday February 14, 2018 I went back, shortly after 3:00. After waiting in line for more than 20 minutes, I was told they had lost my prescription!!! I WOULD NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone. Think twice before taking a prescription to this pharmacy. Oh yes, I took a prescription to the CVS on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, it was ready in less than 15 minutes. read more

Worst customer service ever. The woman at the film counter has no regard for the customer's time. After agreeing to check me out, she left the register and started doing other things. While other customers were being waited on, I was just waiting. I had to leave without my items because the end of my lunch break was approaching.
