The CVS Pharmacy on Graham Street has been a convenient pharmacy for me since moving to Charlotte. One thing I really appreciate is how well they use technology. The CVS app makes it easy to track when a prescription has been received, filled, and ready for pickup. When I arrive at the store, I can scan the QR code at the pharmacy counter to check in, and the staff will call my name once the prescription is ready. The whole process is quick and efficient. The staff members I've interacted with have always been friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even smoother. Parking is probably the biggest challenge at this location. The lot is fairly small, and with nearby construction it can be a little tricky to navigate at times. Coming from the West Coast where I mostly used Walgreens, CVS has been a good alternative while I get settled in Charlotte. Alright alright, so I don't live here and my visits to this CVS have been few and far between over the last few years... But every time I've been in I've had a good experience. Why they only have two stars, I'm not sure. That said, I most recently visited two weeks ago because I needed medicine ASAP and couldn't wait until I got home to pick it up from my local CVS. I called them and asked them to transfer my prescription so I could pick it up here. They were super nice about it and said it would be available the next morning. When I popped in to pick it up, it was easy peasy. They even let me know that I would need to have my local CVS transfer it back to them when I was in need of my next refill. While I was there I browsed around a little with my sister and the store was clean and organized. Definitely better than a two star experience in my eyes. read more

The people that work here don't care about anything but what time they close. Cashier sighs every time a customer walks in the door. No accommodation, just I'm ready to go home. Make sure you're early to get prescriptions too bc the pharmacy employees look to shut everything down and leave even earlier! CVS Pharmacy - Customers being denied entry because they want to close OH so badly - Drugstores Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

The literal worst pharmacy I've ever encountered and I've been a CVS customer in several cities for many years. As other reviews have mentioned, only ONE male pharmacy staff member is nice (he is very nice - Ryan maybe?) but the rest are short, rude, not helpful, etc. Also, as other reviews have mentioned, the wait times are horrendous no matter what time you do a pick up. My doctor called in a script for my controlled substance today and according to the automated system, a refill was not called in. So far have been on hold to figure out the disconnect almost two hours and they close at 8. If my script isn't refilled and I miss a dose of a controlled med, withdrawal symptoms start to happen due to how long I've been on the med. But no clue if they have the script or not because no one will answer the phone. If you need a med same day, especially if it's a controlled substance like a benzo or pain med, you have to be ON IT or you could miss a dose(es) like it seems will happen to me. This is absolutely inexcusable as this can be a dangerous situation for people. read more

Poor customer service!!! Had to grab emergency items and needed a receipt. The only checkout available was self check out. The printer machine jammed and it wouldn't print. I told the closest cashier/staff, she didn't seem to care and said sorry looks like you don't get a receipt. I asked for a manager. The store manager was called and after 15 minutes he came out to tell me he can't reprint it or find it. Not happy. The cashier on staff had an attitude like I was the one bothering her. read more

If someone else told me this happened to them I would find it difficult to believe but it did happen too me! There was a problem with one of the ten coupons that were all on the same receipt which was odd. The Associate and I believe her Supervisor tried everything to process the coupon. Speaking in low voices to each other they were saying we're going to have call him it was so obvious that they didn't want to but they called the manager Curtis. He arrived annoyed saying we always have trouble with her coupons she has two accounts. I assured him that I called the nbr he gave me and the issue has been resolved. As I tried to explain what I was told he actually held his hand up in a STOP TALKING SIGN gesture and said if I wouldn't stop talking he wouldn't help me! I couldn't believe what he did and said. He had embarrassed and humiliated me in front of everyone in the store. I told him not to say another word to me but talk to the Associate as he worked on the problem. I could tell by the Associate body language that they were afraid of him so not only is he rude and obnoxious he's also a bully. I don't typically post reviews but i feel this is necessary because of the topic. Let's dig in: I come here often because it's close to where I live and i have established rapport with two lovely ladies there - I wish i could remember their names. However today I had an older gentleman cash me out today - I picked up a few OTC items that my HSA card always pays for, never have an issue and I have at least a few thousand dollars on it (footnote that). I get up to pay, swipe my HSA card and it declines (sometimes does, the provider likes to make me send in the receipts for the OTC items randomly and won't pay for it right there but rather just reimburse me later, it's understandable - usual for most HSA card users and not new to me with this issue), while this is event is occurring there is a large line in back of me, and he proclaims loudly "you need to use another card, it declined and you got no money on it". Look, it's not so much WHAT he said, it was how LOUD he said it. Regardless of my money available on it - it's still embarrassing with 10 people behind me. I bluntly asked him "if he could say that any louder" and "if he could be more respectful next time this happens to someone and yes I have another form of payment and i would need my receipt to send to my HSA provider." I paid with my own funds and left. I say all this to say is this is a learning opportunity for his gentleman and any other staff. This was absolutely rude and embarrassing and though it declined - I highly doubt the reason was "because you got no money" that was the issue code the register gave him. I was throughly shocked that this happened. Enough so i felt the need to write a yelp review and to email corporate and share my review on my different social media accounts about this. What in anyone's right mind that this was ok to say to someone? I'm open to dialogue around it. read more

This store is a sh!thole. The staff is friendly if you can find them. The company chooses not to employ anyone at this location. The shelves are picked through and not restocked. The merchandise looks tired and aged. There is s box of $13 convenience size mucinex at check out that is laughable. There is a stack of rain checks left at the unmanned front register waiting for LP to notice and start firing people. The pharmacy drive thru is kept closed during business hours with 2 pharmacy staff working the bench. If you continue to not serve our community appropriately. Please shut down and let another group service us. The only reason you have any traffic is because your Caremark arm forces clients through your doors. read more

We moved in two blocks away and excited about nearby products/services from CVS; our previous relationship with them in other communities has been great. Sorry, not here. Slow, long lines. Under staffed but friendly folks, this tells me nothing but a home office decision, and a poor one at that. Really bad decision o their part in booming part of town. This store only provides drive up COVID tests - they do not take walk-ins. So, even if you live across the street, you must drive. If you don't have a car, you cannot get tested. Clearly not functioning with a mind toward public health. read more

I had a prescription sent here and without giving me notification whatsoever it was cancelled due to already having met their amphetamine limit for the month. While this isn't the pharmacists fault, I definitely expected to be notified rather than having to call in and wait an hour and a half just to be told the news. This location is a little larger than most CVS stores, which is surprising for a branch in uptown. It is definitely the largest pharmacy in the center of the city, and it's selection of products is never wanting. Unlike smaller outlets, this CVS has a minute clinic, which can be a huge plus come cold season. The real drawback here is the parking. There are only about 15 cramped parking spaces to be shared between this CVS and the Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins next door. Nevertheless, you'll probably want to drive here. It is about one block beyond what most people consider the safe area of uptown. During the day you won't encounter anything worse than panhandling, but at night the area takes on a distinctly different feeling. read more

This review is for their Minute Clinic. First off, it's damned convenient as it's across from where I work in Uptown. Just don't pick a "peak" time and you'll be OK. I went like at 3pm, and I only waited about 20 minutes. The Nurse Practitioner was very nice and personable, and pretty much nailed what I had...STREP THROAT! Uggggg. So a good healthy does of penicillin did the bad bug in! It's a pretty big pharmacy too, and they are relatively efficient. Overall this is a very cool place if you work (or live) in Uptown and you need a "doc in the box" for something non-life threatening. read more

This is a pretty standard CVS pharmacy, but I really like it for a few reasons. First of all, for some reason it's NEVER crowded, so you're always in and out in no time at all, which is huge. There's always parking, too, so the trip is always a quick one. Grab a coffee at Dunkin' on your way in (it's next door). On top of all the toiletries and random things you'd expect, this CVS has a great drinks selection that I make constant use of. The pharmacy here is also top-notch--great staff that work quickly. You can normally get a prescription in like 15 minutes or so, which is a departure form the way normal pharmacies often work. Also: this CVS normally has lots of great firesales, where stuff you'd probably never think to buy is on hugely discounted sales. I definitely pick up random stuff when I'm in line, and I'm always pleased with what I come away with. Check it out. read more

I love Minute Clinics. I rushed to this location one day after a yoga class when I realized that I had that burning, horrid urinary tract infection feeling...ladies, you know what I'm talking about. I was in and out within 15 minutes, which is amazing when you are in that kind of pain. The nurse practitioner was young, funny, and professional, and she was compassionate with my ouchie situation. She also helped me pick out an antibiotic that would be most helpful and cheap since I don't have health insurance. I would have been in a mess a few times without the Minute Clinic, and I think they are a wonderful resource. read more

This CVS experience has been a nightmare. My original two prescription was put in on a Friday. I get a text saying that one of them had to be ordered. I immediately call and I was told they don't have any and it will be here Tuesday. I call Tuesday and the lady says that the order got canceled it will be here Friday. I call Friday and was told the store probably won't get any soon I should go to another CVS close by that she knows have it. I say ok send my prescription there she says we cant do that you have to call your doctor cancel your prescription and have them submit it to the other CVS. I'm gonna have to give this store 4 stars. It's not perfect but a) the location is fabulous (uptown), b) for the location the size of the store is bigger than expected, c) I've never waited in line more than 5 minutes. While there is a Harris Teeter just a block away, I've gotta say that if I need something on the run, I'm at this CVS. Yes, the parking is a pain. The lot itself is small and the spots are very tight. That being said, I have yet to not find a space to park my ultra sleek 2000 malibu ;) I haven't used the pharmacy here so I will reserve comment. I headed to the Minute Clinic to get a flu shot. It was a pretty quick and easy process. You sign in on a computer, which takes 5-10 minutes. Depending on how many people are there, you might have to wait. I just waited a couple minutes, then headed in and got a flu shot. The nurse practitioner was really friendly and nice. So when I'm driving around town, sometimes I come into this location versus my Rite Aid by my place. This place is BIG and has more than just pharmacy stuff....you name it...they probably have it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the parking lot just cannot handle the volume that comes through here............throw in the Dunkin Donuts next door and parking is usually not an option...you'll have to park down the street or way behind the building...........ugh. read more

Never had any problems with the store, but have absolutely had it with the pharmacy. They lied about not being contacted by my doctor, and then proceeded to talk down to me like I'm a child ("we receive online prescriptions all day, that'd be really bad if that wasn't working, righhhht?"). The pharmacist was more than eager to rid herself of me and couldn't even manage to be fake interested in actually helping. This is the same pharmacist who talked down to me when I was looking for help when I was unable to get my prescription for my daily and very much needed medication for almost a month. I have never taken the time to put in a negative review for anything, but today's the day. I tried giving this place another chance, but literally yikes to the whole pharmacy crew. read more

When insurance required us to go to cvs this location was right near the vue making it very close to us. Walking there was terrible as you had to pass homeless people panhandling you and they would hang outside asking for money outside the store. The store should have really called police to enforce the city ordinance which profits them from panhandling so close to businesses, ATM machines or restaurants entrances. They did take away the picnic table so they may have been less inclined to stick around too long. Still, felt unsafe walking and utilized the drive through, keeping windows rolled up when waiting. read more

Worst Pharmacy EVER!! My doctor sent a prescription for an antiobiotic to this pharmacy on Thursday. When I went to pick it up, they said they hadn't received the order. SO....I called my doctor's office on Friday morning and they re-sent the prescription plus called the pharmacy to verify that it was received. When I again went to pick it up on Friday, they said they didn't have it. The pharmacist was very unconcerned and told the clerk in passing that he hadn't received any calls or voicemails; he just moved on to someone else. Monday, I asked my doctor to send the prescription to a locally owned pharmacy. When that pharmacy tried to fill the prescription, guess what???? They couldn't because CVS HAD ALREADY FILLED IT ON FRIDAY. I'm only thankful that the prescription was not life or death! The new pharmacy told CVS to unfill the prescription and they filled it for me promptly. read more

The staff is very courteous and try their best to provide great service; the unfortunate reality is the people in the parking lot are threatening or begging; my chances of being inappropriately approached in the parking lot is around 90%; which I find surprising; great store with poor security and I consider dangerous to app. In addition, they are woefully understaffed. Stopped in here on my way to work after realizing I didn't have deodorant in the car. The parking lot is too small to share with Dunkin Donuts and there may or may not be any parking around the back. I didn't have time to find out. Ended up parking in a non-appropriate self made space because I knew I'd be in and out. Once in, I was able to find what I was looking for, although I didn't see any travel size, which would have been preferable for the occasion. The cashier was an older lady who I've seen there before. She's so kind and friendly. I didn't have to wait in any line and she let me use someone else's CVS card because my number didn't pull up an account. Worst customer service ANYWHERE. I walked out and the alarm goes off. Ok, no problem, I know it happens sometimes, and I didn't take anything so there's nothing to worry about. The manager looks through my bags takes out my stuff and my receipt. There were 2 things that weren't on the receipt, but mind you, I got them from 7/11! And I told her that! All things I got from that store, I paid for and was proven on the receipt! Not only that but from the very beginning, her, the security officer, and the cashier who rung me out (Diamond) automatically thought I was stealing. The manager took my 2 items from 7/11, set them on the counter, and said goodbye. I've NEVER been treated like that before by ANYONE because I'm always considerate, I've worked in customer service before. The 3 of them were smirking at each other the entire time and even after I left they were because I had a group of friends that came with me who noticed. And why would I pay for these 4 items and steal 5$ worth of cheap stuff?!?!?! I even came back inside and let them look through my bag when the alarm went off!!! Terrible customer service!!!! You wait to drop off your script while the pharmacy tech chats on a personal call or text on their cell phone!! Every single month for six months I've dropped the same script off told they have the script and suddenly I go to pick it up and "oh we should have called you we don't have it"!!!! I know for a fact they have the drug they just don't bother double checking it's easier not to fill the script! Every month I have ask them to double check as I was told they did have it by the pharmacy tech upon drop off, oh what do you know we do have it!!! No oh I'm so sorry nothing!!! Same thing happened today I walked in am told "um we don't have one if your meds but we should have called you"!! I'd say hell yes you should have called me!!! The pharmacy tech then gets an attitude and "says we did call you we pushed the button and if it didn't call you that's my problem"!!!! Well Alexa first you have terrible customer service skills secondly it's also poor customer service to stand in front of a customer and have a personal convo on your phone while the customer waits!!! Add to this terrible store I get a snarky note on one of my scripts because the script was written five months ago and I just requested it filled. So miss traveling RPH instead of leaving snarky notes pick up the phone and call me and ask me!!! The drug wasn't a controlled therefore it's really mind of your business why I waited five months (which I didn't) or even if happen to get that drug filled else where!!! Come on you are supposed to be a RPH use your brain!!!! Too bad for me my insurance requires me to use CVS and this is the closest one to me. Let's see if CVS contacts me!! Oh and the 800 number isn't much better I called it last week and after waiting on hold three different times for over 15 minutes each time I get through to a human only to be told "oh I can't help you I'll transfer you"!!! All three times I was disconnected and spoke to no one!!! CVS get with it you have terrible customer at this location as well your 800 number!! I have been using this pharmacy for years since it's only a few blocks from my home but that ends today. There should be ZERO circumstances where a customer is left unattended in the drive thru to pick up a prescription for TWENTY THREE MINUTES!!! After about 8 minutes of waiting I rang the call bell to have someone tell me they would be with me "in a moment". What is that? Sarcasm? There were two pharmacists visible in the window and one was ringing up someone at the counter for a few minutes while I waited. Other than that they were MIA. If you can't staff a pharmacy with two people and still have people waiting on the order of a half hour in a drive thru, then guess what? You shouldn't have a drive thru. The utter lack of respect for your customers' time and needs is beyond unacceptable. I'll be transferring my business to the Target pharmacy from here on out. What a complete joke. Let me start with this year has been frustrating for me in the prescription drug world. I changed insurance providers and didn't realize my one monthly RX was only partially covered by my provider. I went from paying 10 a month to $75 a month. I called in today to get my RX refilled and talked to Pharmacist Ryan. Ryan asked if my insurance changed because my RX was no longer covered and would be $176 for 1 month. I have never cried over an RX before, that changed today. I told him to fill it anyway. He called me back 10 mins later and let me know how upset he was that it was going to cost so much, so he did a little digging and found that my insurance now covers the name brand RX FOR FREE. He just saved me $176 dollars a month for the next 6 months. He went above and beyond and I feel very confident using CVS for all my pharmacy needs because I know their employees put their customers first. read more
