Oddly, all of the vending machines in the nearby Presbyterian Hospital emergency room were broken and I really needed a soda. This Circle K was the closest and despite the earlier review, I decided to give it a try. There were no beggars today (it was a crisp 45 degrees) and I did not patronize the gas pumps area (there's much cheaper gas in South Carolina). Probably the dirtiest restroom I have ever been in. Instead of toilet paper in the roller was a coil of reynolds wrap tin foil. Hate to be the person that has to use that. Napkins and tp strown thoughout on the wet floor. One lady at the counter so nothing was clean. Would bypass if you can. read more

I really used to enjoy coming to this store, but the people are so rude now. I used to even be friends with a girl who worked there and a manager. I went in today to get gas and gum and I'm sorry if there was a change shortage you could've told me to pay card but the lady pocketed my change without telling me. Absolutely the worst gas station in Charlotte and the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was told I was not going to be served after waiting 15 minutes in line. Why?? I came in this morning and was in a bit of a rush but still polite to the cashier. All I wanted to do was put gas in my car and head back to my child. Thinking this would be quick because there wasn't any lines, the cashier told me "We're out of gas" and looks to the other cashier. I told him "If that's the case, why are there no signs put up?" They have a promotion going on which is buy a 20 ounce Coke and a slice of pizza for one dollar Normally a Coke is $2.09 and a pizza slices a little over a dollar so I of course went for it. To my dismay they were out of pizza oh well I thought I'll just get the Coke for a dollar seeing as how it was still cheaper so I asked the man at the register if I could do a substitute for the pizza which I was told yes I could do the nachos so I went and started to get my nachos came back and now it was a woman ringing me up at the cash register I informed her of what the man had told me and she said oh no you can't do that very attitudely to which I said OK well can I just get the Coke for a dollar and I won't take a pizza slice because there are none to which she said oh no no no no you can't do that to which I questioned how come to which her answer was you just can't still with that same attitude so I look at her and then look behind me at now a line of customers was shocked looks on their faces and look back at her and said really so you're telling me that I cannot use this promotion for just a Coke which I will be taking less items than what is advertised because you said so she said well you're already getting a discount because the byway a to Coke products the discount was $.10 I said OK take that off of there I will pay full price for the one Coke but give me this Coke for $1 oh no you can't do that she said again to which I looked at her very kindly and said well you know what else I can't do by any of the things that I have now gathered from the store I grab the bag and flip it upside down and dump the stuff out on the counter and said thank you have a wonderful night to which three customers in line said there's stuff on the counter turned around and walked out the door with me Circle K the lady that I'm sure you've had many complaints about needs to be fired you know who I am talking about thank you. While returning from Myrtle Beach,I decided to stop at the Circle K gas station in Dunn, North Carolina. As I attempted to use my debit card to pay for gas the screen read error. Much like myself, everyone else at the pump was faced with the option of going into the filling station to pay. The one cashier available was struggling to assist as many customers as she had,which only speaks to under-staffing. After paying for my gas and filling my tank, which could not have taken more than eight minutes, I realized it would best suit me to use the restrooms available. Goodness gracious that was my first mistake of the day.By the time I walked back through the doors the restroom stalls were overflowing into the aisles of the convenience store with murky foul smelling water, but even worse the Hardee's attached was beginning to flood too! In a last ditch effort to relieve myself I went to the back of the building to see if there were any other options, only to see a large number of people using the restroom in the grass. To whom it may concern: On Tuesday June 16, 2020 some time around (2:40/2:50), I arrived at your location at 220 Charlottetowne Ave, In Charlotte, North Carolina. I pulled into the back gas pump, which was labeled pump 12, then went inside to pay for my fuel. While inside I purchased a Snickers bar, plain m&m's, a orange soda, and a coke. During that same transaction I also asked for $23.00 worth of gas on pump 12. Tasha was the person working the cash register. I walked out of the store and went to the fuel pump, removed the nozzle and the screen advised me to go inside and pay the cashier. I started pressing the help button and no one answered so I sent my 11 year old child in the store to ask the cashier to start the pump. At least 30 seconds to a minute passed when I realized that my child had to be standing in line, so I entered the store to retrieve my child from the line while advising Tasha that the pump needed to be started. Tasha then advised me that the $23.00 on pump 12 had already been pumped. I advised Tasha that I hadn't pumped gas and to please start the pump. Tasha explained to me that the the gas had been pumped. I then asked Tasha if she could come and look at my gas amount and she advised me that she couldn't. I then asked Tasha if she could look at the camera footage to show that the gas had not been pumped and she stated that she couldn't do that either. I'm upset at this point because Tasha Is being absolutely ridiculous. I advised Tasha that I didn't pump gas and that I needed some assistance. I was then told that it was nothing she could do! I advised her that I was calling the authorities and her exact statement was, "do what you have to do". Once she made that statement I had the urge to escalate the situation in a negative manner, however I kept my cool and went outside to call the authorities. I called 911 at 2:56pm and then I began to call the corporate office. I called the corporate number at (704)583-5700. After not being able to speak with a human I googled another number and called (602)728-8000. Someone did answer that line then they transferred me to a voicemail for someone In my area. I called corporate 9 times and only received voicemails so I decided to go back in the store and ask Tasha for a number of someone who was over her. She advised me that she could give me that persons number but they wouldn't be available until today June 17, 2020. I told Tasha, "I need help today not tomorrow". At this point Tasha has been rude, unprofessional, and incapable of using critical thinking skills. I left out of the store again, stood in front of pump 12 and waited for the authorities to arrive! What I should have been doing while waiting on the police and dealing with an incompetent person was picking up a prescription, then driving to a much needed doctors appointment. The police arrived and I was asked if I left the pump at anytime and if my gas amount could be verified. Once the officer verified that I had no gas she went In and spoke to the clerk. The clerk told the police officer that she, "didn't like the way I"...... The rest of the words were in audible for me I could no longer understand why she was saying. I then came to the conclusion that she didn't have a deficit in common sense, her actions were a reprisal of something I unknowingly did while purchasing my Items. I didn't speak because she didn't speak to me. I also didn't take my receipt, however You shouldn't take anything personal when you work with the public. She was deliberate in her actions towards me!!! She then told the officer that she would "give" me the $23.00 in gas however the gas had indeed been pumped! I then told the officer LOUD enough for Tasha to hear me, that the fact that she wasn't blaming this on human error was insane to me and that she knew what she was doing was wrong. Finally Tasha agreed to let me pump my gas since the police were involved. I then asked for a refund of the 4 items I purchased, then I walked out of the store with the office. The officer took a picture with my daughter, said her goodbyes and approached her car to leave. I attempted to pump the $23.00 worth of gas when the screen gave me the same message as It had when all of the drama started! It told me that I needed to come In and pay the cashier! I stopped the officer and showed her the screen. The officer began to walk back towards the store however before she made it into the building the pump began to work. I only pumped $22.00 dollars of gas because that's all my tank would allow. I decided to let Circle K have my dollar so I wouldn't have to deal with Tasha again... I missed my doctors appointment and I was unable to retrieve my prescription because my pharmacy had closed. It's 2:49pm eastern standard time and I still haven't heard from the corporate office from message(s) that I left on yesterday at 3pm. The store is fine and it serves its purpose. However the young lady whose name starts with a "D" is ALWAYS complaining. It be so loud that paying patrons can hear how much she "ready to go tf home" and how she "can't stand these ppl." I understand a couple bad days but not exaggerating every time I'm in there it's a complaint. I placed my coffee on the counter, said "good morning", she smirked while chomping on gum with her mouth open and then told me how much I owed.
