I made the mistake and had to wait a day to get antibiotics for my 3-year old son. This review is for the pharmacy. Came here for some vaccination shots (MMR, varicella, TDAP). Even called in beforehand to make sure they have it in their inventory. Lady who picked up the call said yes they have it and will reserve it for me since I told them I'm about 7 minutes away. Came to the pharmacy, helped an elder customer translate since they didn't have any Chinese speaking workers to work with the customer. Showed them my paperwork, was told that they gave away their last TDAP to the customer before me and told me that they can order it and have me come back the next day. What's the point of offering it "reserve" it for me? Whatever I'll swing by the next day. Came back the following day, the pharmacist told me that since I didn't take the TDAP with the other tow vaccination I have to wait 2 weeks before I can take it. I said are you sure since that was not what I was told the day before by the pharmacist and she insisted that I have to wait 2 weeks. So I'm like sure whatever and left. Few hours later I got a call from the assistant saying they made a mistake and that I should have been able to take the shot and asked if I have time to come back and take it. It's now 6pm. FOH with that BS. What kind of medical professionals is this place hiring? Pharmacy school is absolutely hard work, and kudos for finishing it, but you can't be telling patients bs like this and waste their time. You are literally asking me to come back 3 days in a row. You have got to be kidding me. There was barely any apology, didn't offer any incentives or anything. I would advise to stay away from this location for pharmaceutical purposes. It absolutely sucked. There is an older individual by the name of Jerry, who is a tall, Caucasian male with gray hair. Who was also wearing a blue flannel working in the front register of the Walgreens on Winchester Boulevard. When we first approached Jerry, He did not greet us with words, a smile or anything for that matter. As we were trying to complete our purchase by swiping our card, there was a screen that popped up, asking if we would like to donate, we were unaware that we had to answer the question before proceeding to the next screen, which is when Jerry proceeded to say " You have to answer the question or it's going to keep starting over and making the line longer and longer and longer" he was putting a great emphasis that we were the cause of the line, which was growing when in fact, there was only one register open at the time. That is when I replied. "well, everyone does not want to donate so, maybe you should let people know that you have to answer the question before the screen will move to the next" which is then when he replies to me saying "yes they do!" In a very Condescending and patronizing tone. To say the very least I had the worst experience with Jerry and I will not be returning because of the service that I received today. Jerry if you do not want to work at an establishment where you have to interact with people in a positive way, without having a rude and toxic attitude maybe you should find another job other than customer service. Walgreens, this is Unacceptable, please do better on training your employees on how to respect the customers that keep you in business. Ordered graduation announcement here and what a pain. App showed the delivered, they said they did not have them and to wait for the email that they were ready. 4 days later I called their 866 number was on hold for 20 min while they called the store and confirmed receipt. I went into the store less than 1/2 hour later snd they said, sorry we don't have them. Called the 866 number again-unfortuanetly got a different person and had to go thru it all again. They finally found them in a cupboard and my name is not on the outside. The clerk tried showing me the box and I was less than sympathetic. Please get it together!!! read more

Where are my COVID test results?! I did a test 3 days ago (mid week) and the Aegis portal hasn't even received it yet! Tests are usually received with 24 hrs and results 24-48 hrs later. That means I should have received my test results today. Unacceptable. Don't use this Walgreens location or drive-thru for COVID testing. I came here for a Covid-19 test at the drive thru pharmacy l as a second option near my home since my regular testing site is scheduled to the max capacity and it was difficult for me to get an appointment. I waited for over 25 minutes at drive-thru to wait for my turn (understandable since a lot of people are getting tested). When it was finally my turn approaching the drive thru window, I was asked for my photo ID. I was handed me small two plastic bags, one with the cotton swab and vial in a plastic bin without saying a word from her. She looked at me expecting me to know what to do. I had to say it's my first time getting tested at Walgreens. She was talking way too fast on giving me directions on the echoey intercom and I had to ask her to please slow down. When someone is getting a Covid test, they are not going to be in their best mood. I can tell from her facial expression she was staring at me like I was an moron. After 20 minutes the girl tells me she is going to lunch in 6 minutes and that I will need to come back later to pick up my prescription. Honestly atrocious. Long lines, poor organization leads to them taking forever to find an order, and they seem to just wait for you to call to start your medication. Had an amoxicillin prescription sent from a doctors visit in the morning and finally called in the afternoon to see if it was ready. They said "Yes we have it, we will start it now and it will be ready in 30 min". This is an antibiotic - were they just going to wait to start until I called? Absurd. Avoid at all costs. read more

Not sure what time the pharmacy closes at this location but at about 5:45 PM I was at the pharmacy at this Walgreens located on Hamilton and Winchester. I asked the man behind the plexy glass (very cute guy with a slick haircut and glasses, you were sweet thank you for your help!) for a flu shot, he began setting me up for one. It wasn't until another woman also working the pharmacy overheard another flu shot was ordered.. after hearing that news she shouted "NO MORE FLU SHOTS"! So unprofessional! So rude! You were an Asian woman with longer dark hair. You were working the window with patients. Yeah YOU! So in the end I walked out of Walgreens during a pandemic with no flu shot. :( read more

I walked up to the register and this woman was very caught up with texting. She made eye contact and went back to texting on her phone. I gave her more than 5 seconds to put her phone away and she didn't put it away until it was probably 12 seconds. Her phone was out and it just gave off a bad image. update to a bad review. I mean is it even possible to go below one star? Today this pharmacy won the gold medal for terrible service. Seriously if there was a World Cup of bad pharmacies this location would be a returning champion year after year unless the team members decided to retire or go work at another pharmacy and ruin that business too. The staff just doesn't care. There could be twenty people in line and 4 staff members in the back but 3 are hiding behind the shelves and either playing solitaire, candy crush or angry birds because none want to show their face but the person who is more concerned with the drive thru cars. This morning a lady before me started raising her voice and finally one from behind the shelves showed up sheepishly giving us a dirty looks. My prescription was short last week because they did not have stock so they said we will give you ten now and come back next week when we order more for you so you can get the rest. Today after 20-25 min waiting in the line I finally got to the angry guy and asked for my prescription and he said we gave it to you last week and when I pointed out that he only gave me 10 out of 60 pills he then said doesn't matter how many we gave you, you still need to have a new prescription so call your doctor and tell them to send a new prescription. This is not a joke I kid you not. So today I said goodbye to the angry guy and the angry woman behind the counter of the Gold Medalist pharmacy. I am no longer stepping into your store and transferred both my prescriptions to CVS. I will miss you dearly because you were the reason that I did not need blood pressure medication anymore - all I had to do visit the pharmacy and blood pressure would go through the roof. read more

I couldn't believe this location has so many bad reviews, but then I noticed they were mostly bad reviews of the pharmacy counter, which is a shame. Mainly because the rest of the store is very nice, it's usually pretty neat, shelves are well stocked, although they don't have the best selection, because they are on the small side as far as walgreen's go, they do usually have what they carry (very few empty shelf tags, but they may just not carry what you are looking for, I suggest using their "find it in a store" feature on the website before you go) I have never had a bad experience here and they are top notch on taking care of returns and such. The cashiers are friendly the clerks are easy to find and knowledgeable about their products, the prices are reasonable and they offer a really comprehensive line of store brand items for saving money. As with most 24 hour businesses you do see a decline in service late at night and early in the morning, but it's not too bad here. The parking lot is laid out a little weird, and, for some reason, people barrel through it at street speeds, so drive defensively and be aware of your mirrors and blind spots, The last three times I was over there, people who thought their phone calls would sound better if they stomped on the gas pedal almost hit me, so watch yourself in the lot. I can't really speak on the pharmacy subject as I haven't used their pharmacy counter past buying behind the counter cold pills, and except for the annoyance of having to show my license they've been fine when I've done that. (And that's not their fault, that's just because of the stupid people protection act or whatever the law that makes it so you can't buy the cold pills that actually work without a signing your life away is called) But I can recommend the rest of the store with a clear conscience as this is the store I go to most often, (I frequent it on average 2 or 3 times a month, and it's been my go-to walgreen's since it opened) read more

No Stars. This store is a miserable experience. There is nothing that gives the sense of welcome. It is very junkie, feeling like a Big Box store. Yet, some of the basics are always missing. I only go once a month for one prescription, but I have to wait at least one half hour. The line is always down the aisle. Go in and there is only one person at the register and one person serving at the pharmacy. Unfortunately, the Rite Aid a half mile away closed in September and Walgreen's picked up the slack, very poorly. The employees are nice, but are too busy to be helpful. We can easily wait for 45 minutes to an hour for pick up and we are unable to walk into the store. I bought a urinal for my wife and try to return the item after 5 min or so since it was not what we wanted and wanted to buy instead urinal bags. I went to the counter to return the urinal and buy the bags instead and the guy checked the contents of the urinal but it looks like something else was inside the product. Recently I placed a phone order to refill 2 prescriptions, for some reason the auto refill did not process correctly. Received text that ONE order was ready. Odd, where is the other one. Today I called the pharmacy 'system' to see if second prescription was ready too. System did not recognize another Rx. So i tried to reach the pharmacy at Walgreens on 1660 Winchester in Campbell to see why only one of my two RX's was filled. Was on hold 21 minutes with recording saying "all our pharmacists are busy ... we will be with you shortly". (Ya, right!). After 23 min. phone rings again several times (here is hoping the pharmacist will answer....NOT) it rolls over to a music recording. After 34 minutes the systems disconnects. CRAZY!! I am writing this because this is at least the 3rd time in a year with lousy service via phones. Of course they say short staff due to Covid or it is a Monday and we are very busy. Too many excuses. I went online to refill that second Rx. Will wait and see if this way is successful. They should have gotten it right on the first request!!! read more

I came in looking for car key battery after having no luck at another location. I was at the battery aisle for a good minutes. The one I thought was correct was behind other batteries that were misplaced. I opened the packaging and tried using it with my car key but no luck. I went in the line and was helped by a really nice gentleman. I told him this one doesn't work. He went back in the aisle with me and after we both figure out they just didn't carry what I needed, he surprised and delighted me by saying I didn't need to pay for the wrong one I just opened. It saved me $6 and made me look forward to visiting this location again! read more

They advertise that they have a drive-through window for the pharmacy but I'm sitting here now and I ring the call button three times and there are 123456 people working and not one person has acknowledged me in five minutes and the person behind me already drove away so my advice to you is do not use the drive-through at this pharmacy because they suck because they haven't even acknowledge my presence. Would be nice if they at least let me know they see that I'm here and not ignore me. Very RUDE. Here are a few examples: 1) They called me to tell me that my prescription was ready. I get there and one of them isn't ready. So, I have to wait. Huh? What's the purpose of filling it online or having a drive thru if you have to wait!?!? This has happened twice. 2) The wait is always long. What makes it worse is that you wait a half hour in a line only 3 deep and when it's finally your turn, the tech goes into the back and doesn't come out for awhile. No "I'll be back" or anything. 3) There is 1 lady who is very rude. It's like she's the pharmacy God. And my luck, I always get her. The other techs are only rude, not very rude. The reason I originally picked this Walgreens was that it was open 24 hours. Well, the store still is. But, not the pharmacy. Anyway, I don't mean to be nitpicky, but with any business, I want to have at least decent customer service. This place doesn't have it unfortunately.
