I reserved an appointment for 2 ahead of time for a Sunday and am so glad I did! I believe they have a promotion if you come in on weekdays. The team was so sweet and patient as we asked questions in crafting our perfect scent. At some point, my head started hurting just because of how overwhelming it can be in a fragrance-heavy environment. The lovely staff member who helped us (I forgot her name!) helped throw away the scent strips that I didn't like which made me feel so much more comfortable. She was also incredibly helpful in explaining the different notes and layers. We ended up each getting an Eau de Toilette ($99)! There are many customization experiences out there these days from being able to create custom lipsticks, color analysis, skincare labs, but Florra's custom scent bar really stands out because it's such a sensory experience. It was a lot of fun from start to finish. I learned a lot about how fragrances are built, especially the different scent layers and how they come together. The process felt very relaxed and we were encouraged to take our time sampling and exploring until we found the right combination. The store itself, is a great place to pick up gifts and unique merchandise that would be a joy to give. I brought a bachelorette party to Florra for a custom scent experience on a Friday afternoon and we had a great time! My sister (the bride-to-be) and I have previously done a custom scent experience in France (Molinard) so I sort of knew what to expect, but Florra exceeded my expectations! I booked the appointment for 1:30-3pm and we arrived a little early and ended up taking the entire time! Your products are made to order and because we took the entire time, we did stay past 3pm so keep that in mind if you are booking events back-to-back. Ariana helped us through the process and created the blends - she was friendly, explained very well and was a fantastic guide through the entire process. To start, you take a scent quiz (QR code) and you're told what scents are associated with your results. It's meant to be a helpful guide or starting point. Ariana showed us the concept (base, heart and top notes) and different tips for what blends well together, and how we would try different combinations of scents (apply to a strip, put the combinations together and fan in front of your nose). There was a nice selection of scents, including pheromonic base notes (scents that react differently based on the chemistry of your skin), which I had not encountered before. There were times that I needed to reset my nose bc I had gotten scent blind, but they had coffee beans to sniff and reset. We had a lot of fun trying them out and smelling each other's blends. At the end, you get to choose what type of product you want, AND you can add on additional items at a discounted rate (with the same scent blend or a different one). Everyone chose the eau de toilette option ($99) and I added a travel body oil ($30). You can choose a custom name for your blend and you can get as personal or as punny as you would like. I am very pleased with my scent and the eau de toilette lasts a longer time than some of my other perfumes (including the one from Molinard and some Korean perfumes). I would definitely re-order again ($85). I definitely recommend this experience and have shared my experience with local friends already. read more

I learned about Florra from a super fun Yelp community event earlier this year. And I knew I had to come back with my bestie to try out the Scent Bar experience. First off, the store is lovely, filled with fragrances, lotions, soaps, and all things self-care. It's the perfect place to find items to fill a gift basket for a friend. As to the scent bar experience, it's best to make reservations, especially on the weekend. There is no charge for the reservation itself, you just pay for the fragrance you create. The experience is expected to take about an hour and a half. And that's just about how long it took for us. When we arrived, we checked in and were seated at the Scent Bar and offered the beverage of our choice. Without giving away all the details, the first part of the experience is taking a fun quiz to help guide your scent selections. Once that's done, the host explains the process to you, including the three types of notes (top, heart, and base), points you to a guide that shares which scents compliment each other, and how to put a fragrance together. Once that information is imparted, you get down to building a scent, testing various fragrances and then putting various combinations together to come up with your favorite. We had so much fun testing out all the different combinations. And our host was especially friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our entire experience. Once we settled on our fragrances (we went with the eau de toilette option, but you can opt for an oil or body spray too), our host mixed them up for us while we named them. And voila, we had our customized perfumes with printed name labels. So cool! We had such a fun time at the Scent Bar at Florra, I'm looking for excuses to come back. I absolutely plan to be back to fill up some gift baskets for friends for the upcoming holidays. read more

This was a 10/10 experience! I found this shop through googling make your own perfume and Florra was the top answer. I love perfume and wanted to make my own scent. I made an appointment online and when I entered the store, the worker greeted me and was welcoming. You take a scent test and took the what goddess are you. The result was pretty spot on as I do love bergamot. I smelled all the different oil and ended up doing the perfume oil and body mist. My Experience: My dates and I came early to secure parking and walk around Campbell Farmer's Market. When our appointment time arrived, we were promptly seated and given a personality quiz that suggests scent notes that could match our personality. This was a great way to introduce us to the scents, as we were now tasked with smelling each scent and trying to find the combination of the best 5 notes to make our Eau de Toilette with. I had a great time sharing combinations that I thought were interesting with my dates and our curator. We also got complimentary La Croix (bubbly alcoholic drinks were also offered, but we had to drive after) to sip on while sniffing. Our curator also offered advice about what she smelled in our combinations, and took into consideration that I wanted Peach to be the main note when making my Eau de Toilette. This is a cute stop if you're in downtown Campbell or looking to plan a fun self-care afternoon (hit up Recycled Bookstore just down the street too!). They've got a really unique variety of soy candles, relaxing scents, collagen powders, and lovely whipped body butters. I liked that the items were all from small businesses and something I hadn't really seen before. A chai spice candle?! Yes please! The interior is super nicely lit, and the staff was really friendly. I wouldn't expect to spend more than 20-30 minutes here, even if you are deeply looking through every item. Since it's a rainy day, I figured I would shop a bit in downtown. Campbell and I came across this quaint little store! From the outside, I thought they only had soaps and bath bombs, but once I walked inside, I saw an array of different things all to go in the bathroom, as well as decorate the house! They also had some cute little books that went along with the whole theme of the store! I was very happy to have found some organic bar lotion, as well as a bar of shampoo I'm trying out. I'm going to be traveling and I don't want any liquids since I'm just doing carry-ons. So a bar shampoo sounds great to try out for $9 And it's all organic! The lady behind the desk was very helpful and showed me which products people buy the most since she hadn't tried them herself. TLDR Savannah was the best. The experience was so fun. Definitely worth every penny. My boyfriend and I booked an appointment at their scent bar for a custom perfume/cologne. Their online booking system was easy to maneuver. There is no charge for the seat- you pay for the custom product you select (body mist, perfume/cologne, perfume oil). Prior the appointment, I was nervous that it would be a daunting experience as I am not very knowledgeable about perfumes (top notes, middle notes, etc.) but ended up being a really enjoyable experience. You start by taking a survey/questionnaire to get assigned a "god" or "goddess" with a scent profiles that could work for you based on your personality. With the survey, Savannah explained all the different types of scents and what their purposes are in the final product. She was great at explaining everything in details, and also with helping with recommendations based on the scents we liked. The selection is wide for their types of scents. My friends and I popped into this cute little boutique shop for their grand opening weekend. My friends were gracious enough to buy me a couple things for my birthday from there, and can I say HEAVEN? I got some lip balm by Poppy & Pout (grapefruit), oh and is it so amazing. Goes on silky smooth and my lips feel so hydrated. I take it everywhere with me. Then there is the whipped body butter lotion I got from The Cottage Greenhouse (grapefuit/blood orange - what can I say, I like the grapefuit scent SOOOO much). Absolutely divine! So light and does not leave any greasy after feel, and again with the scent. I just absolutely love it. The lovely lady at the counter said there will be candle making classes and all sorts of fun!
