10/06/16 huge selection of bumble and bumble products
Noelle J.

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2016 I've been shopping at this Sephora location since it first opened. As of late I've been mostly shopping at the Sephora location in Downtown Disney in Anaheim. Came here today in search of a new flat iron. Upon entering I was greeted by the friendly employees. This Sephora has an excellent selection of makeup, perfume, facial cleansers and really just every beauty product imaginable under the sun. They had three flat irons for sale: drybar $150 sephora $39 (on sale) ghd white platinum prof styler $249 I stood there trying to decide what flat iron to purchase. I'm also thinking that I need a new hairdryer too. I cringe at the prices because I really don't want to spend $500 on a new hair dryer and flat iron. Currently, my hair is long, thick, wavy/curly and buying run of the mill hair dryer or flat iron at Target aren't doing the job. I decided to buy a hair dryer instead. In the past I've tried my mom's really expensive hair dyer (she purchased years ago at Sephora) and it cut my blow drying time in half. I went with drybar's most popular product the 'Buttercup' which retails at $195, the drybar 'Half Pint' barrel hair brush which retails for $40, drybar's 'Mai Tai' texture spray which retails for $25 and an impulse buy of Dior's newest scent 'Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming' which is intoxicatingly sweet like cotton candy :) Lauren was the sales person helping me and she was super friendly and fantastic! When I checked out, I got a new Sephora Card, spend $350 in a year and you become a VIB- this entitles you to one free makeup session, one 10% coupon, free samples, invites to special events. When you spend $1,000 in a year you become a VIB Rouge level (insert laughing emoji with tears, hoping I don't reach the VIB Rouge level). My 10% coupon expires in one month, so I guess I'll go back and use it on purchasing the drybar flat iron. Great selection of products and good customer service- are winners in my Yelp Notebook :) Noelle's Notes Good customer service Fantastic selection of all beauty products Noelle's Post Script I tried out the drybar hair tools and products at home and they were awesome!

The item I supposedly already opened and used more than half of the product ?????

I ended up picking up a few more items (some for me!) as I forgot a few people on my list. My online order was packed neatly and it was a breeze picking that up. One star off was for the glitch in the register - while the staff there was trying their hardest to fix an error on my receipt, it seemed like the issue was beyond their ability to fix and they had to call into tech support. This added about 15 minutes to my time there, which defeated the purpose of me ordering online to pick up. The issue couldn't be resolved the same day, so I needed to check my statement for the next week to make sure it was resolved on their end. Overall, not an issue with the staff in store, but more of an issue with their equipment, as I was told that glitches often occur with their system/register. But, customer service and quality of products make up for it so I'll be back.

Absolutely loved the scent bar experience with Florra! My best friend went here with her boyfriend…read moreso I knew I had to take my boyfriend too for his birthday. I reserved an appointment for 2 ahead of time for a Sunday and am so glad I did! I believe they have a promotion if you come in on weekdays. The team was so sweet and patient as we asked questions in crafting our perfect scent. At some point, my head started hurting just because of how overwhelming it can be in a fragrance-heavy environment. The lovely staff member who helped us (I forgot her name!) helped throw away the scent strips that I didn't like which made me feel so much more comfortable. She was also incredibly helpful in explaining the different notes and layers. We ended up each getting an Eau de Toilette ($99)! I am curious about how my scent would be like in a perfume oil so I may consider that next.

There are many customization experiences out there these days from being able to create custom…read morelipsticks, color analysis, skincare labs, but Florra's custom scent bar really stands out because it's such a sensory experience. It was a lot of fun from start to finish. I learned a lot about how fragrances are built, especially the different scent layers and how they come together. The process felt very relaxed and we were encouraged to take our time sampling and exploring until we found the right combination. The store itself, is a great place to pick up gifts and unique merchandise that would be a joy to give. An enjoyable experience and highly recommend if you're looking for something interactive, creative, and a little different.

LE LABO SAN JOSE - SANTANA ROW

West San Jose

Defective Bottle & Shockingly Poor Service -- Not What You Expect From a Niche House…read more I first discovered Le Labo in Paris in 2024 and purchased Thé Matcha 26. It quickly became a staple in my fragrance rotation. When I returned to the U.S., I was pleased to see there was a boutique at Santana Row, so when my original bottle ran out I purchased another one there in 2025. Not long after, I noticed something unusual: the bottle was draining far faster than my Paris purchase ever had. After inspecting it closely, I discovered micro spider-web cracks throughout the glass bottle (see photos). The fragrance was clearly evaporating through the compromised glass. For context, I've been collecting fragrances for decades -- everything from designer houses like Prada and Giorgio Armani, to niche brands like Chris Collins and Le Labo. I've owned dozens of bottles over the years. I have never once encountered a bottle degrading like this. So today I went back to the boutique with both bottles -- the intact Paris bottle and the cracked Santana Row bottle -- assuming they might offer some reasonable accommodation for what appears to be a manufacturing defect. Instead, I received a curt: "You should have come back earlier." That was the entire response. What makes this particularly ironic is that the counter prominently advertises Le Labo's 20% refill program -- the brand's whole philosophy is built around customers returning with their bottles for refills. Yet when a clearly compromised bottle is brought in, the store suddenly has no interest in helping... or filling the intact bottle from Paris (????) The real shame here is that I was fully prepared to purchase another bottle anyway. Even a modest gesture -- honoring the refill price, waiving sales tax, anything -- would have turned this into a positive experience and kept me coming back. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and indifferent -- which is particularly jarring in what is supposed to be a luxury fragrance environment. Perfume collecting is a long-term relationship with a house. I would have happily returned every year to refill Thé Matcha 26 and likely purchased other fragrances as well. I would've sang praises and told everyone to shope here. I would've upgraded the size of my bottle, mostly to avoid with this particular defect again. Regardless.. I would have been a bigger source of revenue for Le Labo. But after this experience, I'll take my business to other niche perfumers who actually value repeat customers. The fragrance itself is excellent. The service at this boutique, unfortunately, is not.

Sephora inside Kohl's - Blossom Hill (San Jose) 890 Blossom…read moreHill Rd, San Jose, CA 95123 Yesterday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 3:10 p.m., my wife, baby, and I visited Kohl's to exchange baby clothes that were gifted to us but ended up being too small. I want to start by saying that the Kohl's return experience itself was excellent, especially considering we did not have a gift receipt. The associate made the exchange simple and efficient using my ID, and I was genuinely grateful for how smoothly the process went. On our way out, we decided to stop by the Sephora section inside Kohl's. We were browsing and initially looking for It's a 10 products, which we later learned are carried by Ulta rather than Sephora. Unfortunately, our experience in the Sephora area was very uncomfortable. A security guard began closely following us almost immediately. When I first acknowledged him with a greeting, there was no response. As we moved toward the back wall looking for scent strips, he continued to hover nearby. While I understand the need for loss prevention, especially given the current retail climate, his continued presence through every aisle became excessive and made us feel uneasy. At one point, a Sephora staff member kindly asked if we needed help. She was polite and professional, and under different circumstances I would have welcomed assistance. However, by that point, the constant hovering had already made the situation uncomfortable, and I declined. When we moved toward the front to sample body sprays (such as Sol de Janeiro), the security guard remained nearby, watching us closely. As someone who worked in security myself after high school, I understand the mindset and challenges of the role. That said, effective loss prevention should be discreet and professional. Hovering over the same customers, especially a family with a baby, creates discomfort and risks pushing genuine customers away, without necessarily deterring actual theft. This experience left us feeling judged, whether due to casual clothing on a relaxed day, or assumptions that may be made based on appearance or background. I also recognize that there are situations where individuals misuse strollers for theft, so I understand the need for awareness. However, customer service should always be the first line of engagement, not intimidation. I recommend additional training for security staff on discreet monitoring and coordination with store associates. If there is concern, it should be communicated quietly to staff so that friendly customer service can be used first. Reviewing store footage from around 3:10 p.m. on January 3rd may also be helpful for internal training purposes. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced why I often prefer shopping online rather than in-store. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future customers feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable while shopping.

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2025…read more August 2, 2025 I've been shopping at this Sephora at Kohl's since it first opened. It consistently had good customer service and it still does. I've never had an issue with the customer service. I read the other Yelp reviews and it seems like others have been profiled from the security company they currently hired. I did see a person with a red vest following others around and I thought it was a Target employee on their break, it did seem a little odd. The Sephora at Kohl's always had an issue with have ample makeup in stock, this is an issue I experienced at the regular Sephora's like their Los Gatos and Stanford locations (yes, I know they are two different shopping experiences- the Sephora at Kohl's vs the regular Sephora locations). Today, the customer service was helpful and friendly as usual. I decided to stop by since we were shopping at Kohls for our son's uniform pants (they ran out at Merry Mart). I was pleasantly surprised they had a good selection of Touchland sanitizers which are my all time favorite. They even had the exclusive Coco sanitizer which they ran out of at the regular Sephora location in Marina Del Rey recently. I love they have the Touchland Hair and Body sprays. I was happy to see the Touchland and Crocs collaboration- yes, I bought the hand sanitizer holder as it was too adorable!! Great selection of Sol de Janeiro - which my sweet niece got me into, lol. They had a great selection of the SDJ and also their mini and regular size sets in clear beauty bags. The fragrance seemed to be well stocked. The foundation in Benefit, Lancôme, and others seemed to be running low unfortunately. Kathleen provided excellent customer service- she was friendly, helpful and kind. The staff was friendly with all who entered and did their best to meet their customer service needs. I just found out online before writing my review that the Sephora at Westfield Oakridge Mall closed (I usually shop at the Westfield Valley Fair location). I also read that there is a new Sephora at the Almaden Plaza Shopping Center (just opened according to Yelp). If you're shopping at Kohls definitely check this Sephora at Kohls :) Great customer service and good beauty finds!!! Noelle's Notes Great customer service Ample parking Good selection of certain beauty products
