I was surprised to find out that Phenix Salon Suites had opened in Oakridge and offered a great array of hairstylists, facialists, and manicurists. I booked an appointment in the morning, and left refreshed. Iveta is such a great esthetician. She offers a customized facial based on your skin concerns, and the time she spends interviewing you and asking questions doesn't factor into the time spent on your facial! You can tell that she really cares about her craft. She discusses the ingredients in each of her products and what they aim to do. Her hands are so gentle as she works the product into your skin, she asks you about your skin concerns and also observes them herself. She always makes sure you're comfortable and her bed is heated and in an ergonomic shape for massages too!!! I left very refreshed and rejuvenated. I started going to her when her studio was on East Capitol Expressway and now that she's at Oakridge, I had to follow her! The first time I came here, I had booked a 60-minute massage and it was so relaxing, but I felt like it wasn't enough. Since then, I've always gotten the 90 minute massages! She is very attentive and listens to your needs to create a customized facial best suited for your skin type. What's great is everything is organic and natural. When you first meet she goes over your skin care routine and all of the facial serums/creams/moisturizers/etc. and lets you know what is best for that day's facial. Even after she will examine your skin before getting started to confirm what the plan is. She talks through each step of what she is applying and sets up the expectation. In addition to great skin care she gives amazing facial massages. They put me to sleep and its great for the face! I've had 2 facials done (customized & hydroexfoliation) and my skin looks so so good afterwards and they last! I love how she gives out samples of moisturizers based on my skin to keep up with the maintenance. They are really good brands that I've been looking into purchasing. I'm a makeup artist, have a very sensitive skin, and I take my facial very seriously. I've done a lot of facial treatments on my face in my country so I know who's good and who's not. First time I visited her, my face was dry and flaky. She listened to me and took time to really evaluate my skin. Get into every details of what she will do. A week after my visit, my skin improved a lot! It's well hydrated, moisturized and not irritated anymore! She did hydrafacial and pdt light on my first visit, manual extractions which I was actually looking for instead of using a spatula device. Her hands are so light while extracting, didn't feel a thing! From there, I know I have to go back. Lol. I had booked a 90 min massage and while the massage was amazing I was very disappointed when I realized she had ended the massage 10 minutes early (the massage lasted less than 80 mins). I paid for a 90 min session so that's what I expected. Towards the end of the session it felt as if she got tired so kept rubbing in the same area to kill time. 5 stars because she definitely knows what she's doing but had to take 2 star off since she ended early. read more
