Polite front counter person; clean place and convenient parking. Pammy is the best! She worked through my knots with her caring and gentle hands. I love massages and have been to many places in and out of the country and many masseuse but Pammy has got to be the best for me. It was the perfect pressure, technique and flow that I'm not walking out like someone just knocked me down. I could tell she loves what she's doing and that she cares. I feel so much better! read more

I have been getting massages from Pammy and Lek for some time. Both are just amazing!! After a good workout I go here for recovery. I highly recommend this place. read more

Studio is clean and feels safe. Pammy (the owner) is so kind and gives a great deep tissue (she incorporates Thai techniques as well). Overall, I highly recommend. read more

Pammy is amazing. I have been getting massages for years and prefer deep tissue. This is the place. The skill and professionalism shine through. It's a hidden gem. Try them! read more

Such strong hands for deep tissue!! Great place here!!!one of the best deep tissue I've been to

I had a great experience getting a massage from Lucky at Chawee Thai Massage. She was very experienced in dealing with knots and I felt like a new person after the massage. It was a bit intense at times, but the juice was worth the squeeze. Highly recommended in the Almaden area. read more

I've been seeing Pammy for some time now, and I can confidently say she is truly exceptional. I'm extremely picky when it comes to massages -- pressure, technique, consistency, the whole experience -- and she exceeds my expectations every single time. What I love most is her consistency. Whether I'm coming in stressed, sore, or just needing a moment to myself, she delivers the perfect massage every time. If you're looking for someone who pays attention to detail, and listens to your body, then ask for Pammy. She's honestly the best, and I'm so grateful I found her. read more

Cute little massage place in Southern San Jose. The masseuses are really friendly and firm-handed. There is a relaxing scent right when you enter the place. Their bathroom is also clean and cozy. It's a no shoes shop so you need to use their in house slippers. I've been to Chawee a few times and also took my family members here. It's always been a pleasant experience. They have online booking, which is very convenient. read more

Chawee is a sister location to Pairin Thai massage. We had been to Pairin before and it was amazing. Chawee wasn't any different. Everyone working there is super friendly and warm. We had back to back massages with Nancy. Mine was 90 mins. Nancy is amazing....exceptional. I absolutely love how she works on your knots. I mentioned how satisfying it was. She said "the knots right? I have to kill them". We both laughed. My neck and traps have been incredibly tight for years since college. She really worked on those areas and I appreciated it very much. I had booked a combo of Swedish & deep tissue. She recommended that I try Thai aroma next time because it's more stretching and will be better for my neck. She included stretching into my massage as well and again I really appreciated it. I also love how shes great when it comes to pressure. So many masseuses do such light/weak massages and it's so frustrating. Nancy has the ability to go light and super firm. I love that. There are many great reviews for the other masseuses here as well. I'm sure they're all great. So happy to have found this place. Can't wait to go back for the Thai aroma. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. My first time here and litterally worst service ever. I booked a last minute needed appointment for my back pain through their website. Despite getting a confirmation to my email at 5PM and showing up on time, they moved my appointment to 7PM without even notifying me. I literally drove 20min from home hoping to get a good massage because of the good reviews. This is worst of the worst service ever. I tried to call the manager and no one mind to pick up the phone. If you are short staffed that is understandable but there is no excuse of not blocking your schedule and not notifying your customer as a coustesy. It's clearly you do not care whatsoever. read more

It was recommended by my friend. I woke up one morning with a tight neck/shoulder area and booked an appointment here. I haven't had a proper massage for probably 3 years, prob more - life gets in the way. I requested 90 mins Deep Tissue massage. To summarize, it was amazing! The masseuse really worked the knots out.. I mean it was painful but not because of their faults. It's just my muscles are just a wreck working long shifts almost everyday. I bought a 6 hr package and planning on getting another 90 mins session next week. Highly recommended! read more

This was my first time here. I thought it would be great but its not up to my mark. Place is nice and decent. I love doing massage as an MMA fighter I have been to the best places for massage. The staff and massager were nice. They know what they are doing but she pulled my neck muscle which was okay before. I am still feeling the pain. For beginners for soft massage this is good. Not for athletes who can good pressure and no pain at end. Massager missed many places of my body needed the most pressure to minimize knots in the body. read more

Booked a super last min massage on their website today... because my lower back has been sore and I haven't treated myself in a while. Been to Pairin before multiple times and loved it, always got the Thai aromatic massage with eucalyptus. I understand each masseuse style is a bit different. After using the palm pressure the stretch and warm up the muscle, she proceeded with using weight shifting with her steps to massage along the pressure points. I have a high pain tolerance and I tolerated that. After that once she started with the oil she first wanted to massage my outer thigh first. My thigh area is ticklish and when I have my massage those are usually the last area to focus on. Like your extremities. Mostly shoulder neck lower back was where I circled to focus on. Then Lucky proceeded to tell me she had massage experience for 15 years and I don't trust her and she got very defensive. I just remained quiet most of the time. With my shoulders her technique was mostly just elbow. Not much kneading with fingers or really loosen the knots. When you use all elbow there's no way you can get in there and loosen the knots because it takes time and work to loosen it and elbow strength is just hard big pressure that's only going to make my body tense up. I had to cut the massage short because her massage style just doesn't align with my liking. Very disappointed. Lucky said" if you don't like me touching your bone then I'm scared to massage and then she pointed to everywhere in my body saying not here not there in a very rude way. I asked her for a pillow at the end when I was turned over she said, " you want a pillow? Ok I find you one" like hello.... Are you supposed to get me one...? There's no flow or rhythm in her massage at all. The owner should try a massage from this employee. Then you will see what I'm saying. It's not relaxing at all. I give two stars just because of my past good experience with pairin and the good friendly polite front desk staff. read more

I called Pairin Thai Massage to see if they had availability on Sunday after seeing great Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, they were all booked, but the owner referred me to their partner company, Chawee Thai Massage and I am so glad he did. Chawee Thai Massage is located in the Almaden Valley, behind the Safeway. When I first entered the reception area it had a calming feel with Thai decor. I was quickly greeted by May, a sweet receptionist who asked me to fill out a quick form regarding which massage type I would like: deep pressure, Thai massage with and without herbal. The strength of my massage: strong medium, or light. I opted for a strong masseuse. May asked me to try med-strong and ask for more pressure if needed. When I entered my private room, I noticed the room was dimmed with a Himalayan salt lamp that lit the room, new clean sheets, a massage table and head and feet pillow. Amy, my masseuse asked me to strip down to my undergarments and lay under an extra bed sheet. Amy helped me stretch my muscles out and use a strong pressure, as I prefer. She loosen my tight muscles and helped me relieved a lot of the pain and soreness I was feeling overworking my muscles at the gym. 1.5 hr later, all my soreness and knots were 75-80% gone. I felt amazing and ready to hit the gym after. It was the best massage I've received here and in Thailand. I booked a package deal with 6 hrs of Thai massage for less than $400! That's a steal if you only need a session to relieve the pain! What's great is, you can share the package with friends and family members. Thanks, May and Amy for a wonderful experience at Chawee Thai Massage. I can't wait to book my next session with Amy! You guys are amazing and I can't wait for my family and friends to try Chawee Thai Massage. Best. Massage. Ever!!! read more

Had a 90 minute traditional Thai massage with Pammy the other day and it was wonderful! I have been to both Chawee and their sister location, Pairin, and have always had very good experiences every time. Each massage therapist has their own style, some techniques, with stretching especially, are done by pretty much all of them. Though I've never had a bad massage therapist at any of these locations, I've also had really great ones who can find all the knots in my body that I never even knew were there and work them out. Pammy is one of those really great ones! She was very thorough throughout the entire massage time which for 90 whole minutes is very impressive. Yes there were some painful areas but it wasn't bad pain - my muscles were very tight and stiff and I know I needed firm pressure to soften them up. Pammy was very kind and asked me regularly if the pressure was okay and if she was hurting me. I always told her it was fine but it was thoughtful of her to ask so often. I feel like I'm already a regular customer here and so of course will be returning but I will definitely look to schedule with Pammy again next time I go! Side note: the receptionists are also always very sweet and patient. They are also knowledgeable about the different massages so if you're a first timer and don't know much about Thai massage, you can call and talk to them! read more

I am so glad I found Chawee Thai Massage! I love a lot of pressure during my massages, but I did not expect the amount of pressure I got from this massage. Usually I am asking for more pressure from the masseuse, but this time I actually had to ask for less--not saying this is a negative thing, but just know that when they say "strong pressure" they really do mean it! I loved everything about this little place including the really clean facility and friendly staff to greet you. I also loved that the stretching didn't feel dangerous. As someone who had a pretty intense hip surgery and recovery, I have been scared away from Thai Massages by some of the rough twisting and pushing they have you do. At Chawee, it all felt fine though. I also appreciated that the masseuses check in with you every few minutes to ask how everything is feeling. It was really easy to get an appointment at the last minute, and came just in time after a long road trip of sitting in the car for over a week! read more

This is my 3rd time to Chawee and this aromatic massage was done by Lucky. I would absolutely avoid her, she has no flow, just uses her hard pressure in the wrong area, and is also very defensive and rude when trying to point her to the trouble area to massage. I do not understand why she focused on the thigh and leg area when i repeatedly asked (during the massage and in the form circled in) for the shoulder and lower back to focus on. The experience with the other masseuses was good and the rooms were cozy. The front staff is friendly and pleasant. read more

Deep tissue massage was heavenly. Right amount of pressure at the right places. I wish I have scheduled got 90 min instead of 60 min. Place has clean and quiet rooms. Rooms are cozy and kept warm with space heaters. Finding appointment can be tricky for the same day. Book it in advance. Got a 90 min massage with Pammy. Sheets were not clean and had hair on it, which made me doubt if the sheet had been changed. I told Pammy to not use her elbows since it don't like excessive pressure, and she agreed. Then she spent the next 30 minutes just walking on my back but using minimum effort. Just standing and pushing with one foot and poking very hard with her toes. I had to tell her a few times to reduce the pressure as I was uncomfortable. Then she did the back with oil, but again minimum effort just using 1 hand and started using her elbow. Had to ask her to back off on poking me and massage with the hands (which the way it should be done) Fast forward to next morning and my back is in pain in 2-3 spots where she dug in with foot/elbow. This is after I specifically told her that I wanted medium pressure, no poking with elbows , no pain. But she did all of these. On the plus side she did give more than 90 minutes. read more

I desperately needed a massage and called probably more than 10 places to find availability on a busy Saturday. Pairin Thai Massage, a place with great reviews said that Chawee in Almaden Valley is their sister location and they have availability. It made my day. I had a great couple massage with my husband. The lady said at the front was friendly and welcoming. The masseuse was very nice and professional. My back and shoulder hurt so much that I had to ask her to focus on the areas. At the end of it, the tension and knots on my back were released by a lot. The price is also very reasonable. I'd recommend anyone to come and give a try. read more

Went here for the first time today. Since I'm a big, masculine, strapping feller with a few extra pounds, I booked 90 minutes. I work out, and work from home, so sometimes my lower back feels sore. I was long overdue for some muscle manipulation, and these folks were nice enough to fit me in their schedule. I was not disappointed! The massage therapist worked me over really good, and stretched my middle-aged joints into places they haven't been in many years! The cool thing is, there was (good) pain during the session, but none to speak of when she was finished. I'll be a happy guy at the gym tomorrow. I'll be back, and I'll be bringing my patient, long-suffering, goddess of a wife. read more

My second time here and it's still great. Hubby bought the package deal, four, 1.5 hour massages and I must say it's well worth it. Today I got the Aroma Massage with Mone. Besides the interruptions by someone knocking on the door AND coming in AND the massage therapist finishing and leaving the room after an hour when my massage was an 1.5 it was great. Lol. Nonetheless, she came back and finished me up. The massage was relaxing. The lavender scent oil is a plus. Mone really concentrated on my shoulders and worked out my knots. Check them out. read more

Amazing massage. I pulled my neck and shoulder on a workout, and came to this place to get massages. I used to go to Tik Thai massage for many years and am familiar with the Thai deep massage and stretching. My masseuse Nina is so good. She's been my masseuse for the last 6 years. After 60 minutes, my pain eased, I was able to turn my neck with more range. The back and neck crack is simply awesome. read more

This is the second time we go there for a couple massage. The first time was amazing too but we didn't want to write a review until we know is consistent. Today my masseuse was lucky. If you have a chance to go there asked for Lucky. She is very professional. read more

Lovely place, great customer service, and all the masseuses are skilled. I don't usually get a massage but when I do I would make sure that I get the great one. Chawee didn't disappoint me at all. By far the best massage I have had. Very professional. Nina fixed a lot of my issues from my sedentary lifestyle. Highly recommend!

I've been here for 1-hour deep tissue massage twice. 1st time: Bee. Her massage was a bit amateurish but OK. 2nd time: Kay. Some reviews refer to her as "Kai", but actually her name is "Kay" (pronounced as "k"). Her massage was rough and painful, and I felt she kept pressing wrong places in my body. I asked her to make her pressure softer and even groaned in pain a couple of times, but she didn't get it. It was definitely not fine body work I was looking for, and I don't appreciate her massage. I don't think I'll come back here again. read more

It's been a loooooooooooooooooong time since anyone has been able to know where, what and how deep to get to where I need work on my body. Kay is a sweet and STRONG therapist, even a 300 lb body builder wouldn't have been able to do what she did. I had the good pain, where endorphins completely took over and it gave me that good sore even feeling it a few days after. I had bruises to show for it but that is what I've been dying for. Now I know my muscles still have feeling. I AM ALIVE! She had a mixture of techniques including stretching, range of motion and deep tissue focus with her hands and using even her feet. Highly recommend for anyone who has tight.... everything honestly. read more

I booked an appointment here super last minute & was able to secure a spot at 7pm. (Huge plus) I requested a 90 minute Swedish massage. Massage was good, good pressure, at times a little too much pressure but boy did it feel good.... (no complaints) Front desk & massage therapist were both very friendly and welcoming! Be prepared to take your shoes off once you start going to the massage rooms etc (they provide you with their slippers, so be sure to have a pair of socks) You are able to choose what scented oil you would like. Huge plus that front desk & massage therapist both understood English & can carry a conversation in English (I've been to other places where they massage therapist doesn't understand) I would say the only negatives would be that the walls are super thin and I could hear people's conversations that were taking place outside, really hard to relax and enjoy when people are talking so loud.... There is plenty of parking & im sure glad they included the % of tip on their receipt so it makes it easier for you when your including tip. They accept cash & credit/debit. I would come here again. :) Also, don't forget your $15 off with yelp check in! read more
