I normally never write reviews, but I feel I need to share this experience. Yesterday I booked a 90-minute Swedish Massage with a therapist named June. Unfortunately, the entire session was not what I expected. For most of the 90 minutes, she used her elbow to press very hard on my shoulders. It did not feel like a Swedish massage at all -- it felt overly aggressive and uncomfortable. Today I woke up with severe shoulder pain. My shoulders are extremely sore, and I honestly feel worse than before the massage. I came in to relax and receive a proper Swedish massage, but instead, the session consisted mostly of intense elbow pressure and stretching. It was very disappointing and not what I paid for. I hesitate to write this review because my fave massage spot will become too busy All jokes aside I cannot recommend Oasis enough. I've been a handful of times with my partner for a couples massage and just went today for a solo. Today I had Kim for my massage and she was incredible. She confirmed at the beginning of the massage the type and length of , I wanted had fantastic techniques, checked in on me., and actually listen to my preferences. Kim was fantastic. I wish I bought a longer massage and will definitely recommend her and request her in the future but if it's her day off, I've also never had a bad experience with the other masseuses Every single time I've been there I am thoroughly impressed. I don't even have a regular person that I've been requesting but the handful of times I've been in total. I've never been disappointed and always walk away feeling so much better and relaxed. Keep in mind. I go to get a massage to relax I like light intensity, and my partner actually likes More deep tissue and we both have found that this place can very much adjust to your preferences. Super clean place, they can usually fit me in on pretty short notice like same day or even within the hour, but I have called sometimes and they might be fully booked for that evening. First time getting a Thai massage! I called a few days before to reserve for 3 people at 10am on Saturday. We could choose to have 2 together in one room and 1 separate, or all 3 separate. We went with all 3 separate. Walking in, I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable due to the friendly service. They had us remove shoes at the entrance and put on slippers which makes the entire place feels home-y and clean. We filled out a form and then got started with the massages. Sophia was fantastic! She provided the Thai Combination Massage. She checked in a handful of times to see if the pressure was ok and made sure I was comfortable. My favorite part was the oil part which was soothing and relaxing. The ambiance in the room is very nice too! They play peaceful music and the rooms are dimly lit and simplistic. I've tried out so many different massage spots all over the bay area but this place is definitely in my top three. This actually might be my number one. I've been frequent in a union city location for a while and honestly, the quality has gone down quite a bit at that place. I was in the hunt for a place that would actually do a proper deep tissue massage and that is close distance to San Jose. I absolutely love the deep tissue. I usually go with a medium/deep level and it's absolutely perfect. I don't think I would ever do the deep level, but to each their own. After having no plans for my husband's and I third anniversary we decided to book massages and wanted to try a new place and we decided on Oasis Thai Spa. We decided here because the reviews were raving. Now I'm questioning whether these are all fake reviews or I had a very unlucky experience. I booked last minute, morning of 2/2/25 at opening and was so glad they were able to get my husband and I in at 6:30pm for a one hour couples massage. I had a pregnancy prenatal massage and he had deep tissue. The woman who greeted us was very nice, welcoming and professional and the place seemed clean at first... now this is the part where my 5/5 review like the majority of everyone else took a HUGE turn to 1/5. I got a call from the receptionist at 5:35pm asking us if we can come in 15-20 minutes earlier, which made us rush our dinner. We skipped our dessert just to make sure we had enough time. So that wasn't a big deal just kinda annoying since we were notified within the hour of our appointment. As soon as we get into our couples room to change right as I was about to get into the bed, I turned open the covers and there was a giant bug!!! I couldn't make out what kind of bug it was but it looked like a huge beetle or like a bed bug or roach. I accidentally touched it to make matters worse but so glad I did otherwise I would have never known or seen that it was in the bed. My husband was already undressed in his bed but was equally surprised in a not good way. I then let the employee immediately know, she asked me to turn on the light seen the bug on the pillow sheet and did apologize and quickly removed the pillow and the sheets to grab clean ones. She quickly came back to the room with new sheets (which were stained) I was able to see that the sheets looked dirty and stained because the light was still on. So that was gross. Thats when I should have walked out but I didn't want to be rude And I regret it because the massage wasn't any better. My massage therapist had very shaky hands. The whole entire massage her hands were shaky. Now this is my first time here but I don't feel like that was normal. Felt like her hands were tired after a long day or she had arthritis. The shakiness was that bad. I should've been the one shaking after seeing that disgusting bug not her. So it's already hard to relax. We got rushed there, there was a big nasty bug in the bed, and now the constant hand shaking. I was definitely not relaxed. every time she checked in throughout my massage I had to keep telling her to apply more pressure every time she asked me and even once on my own and she did not adjust to more pressure. Maybe she didn't want to press hard because of my pregnancy but I definitely let her know I wanted more pressure. Honestly she did not seem qualified for a pregnancy massage. Not sure if it's because we were the last clients of the day but she seemed a bit like she was rushing my massage. Every time something felt decent or good she quickly went to the next thing after a few seconds not even a minute. I always check out different massage places so I can definitely tell when someone is tired and or rushing through. The only pleasant part of when she would take her time was when I was being stretched, that was nice but everything else this was probably the worst massage I've experienced. At one point she even had the towel covering my nose and mouth too then when she realized she laughed about it and fixed it. I forgot her name but she looked very young. So overall it was very disappointing. My husband also said his massage was just okay. He didn't have anything negative to say but his massage was good but nothing special. After everything we still tipped. I don't think we should have got charged full price considering our experience or at the very least another apology or more concern about the bug in the bed but whatever. I was also expecting to be offered tea and fruit like in some of the photos it looks like thats what some clients are offered which seemed very lovely but we were just offered water bottles to go. Overall good customer service but bad- to decent massages and definitely not clean! read more

We were greeted at the door by friendly staff, traded our shoes for slippers, and completed our paperwork, including what areas we needed to be worked on. We went into the room and changed. We had Jane and Andy. They were both great!! Jane had great pressure, and backed off when I asked. Since I never had them walk on me before, she did one leg at a time so it wasn't too intense for me. I've tried about 20+ Thai spas local in the Bay Area and I'd have to say that this spot here is one of the best I've had so far. Clean, quiet and inviting, I came here after experiencing general body tightness. They accommodated an early appointment for me and asked if I am okay with a male masseuse. I hesitated but I never tried it so I said sure why not. I'm glad I did - Andy is the best masseuse I've worked with hands down. He found all the knots in my back and relieved chronic tension ~ kudos to him for always making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely book him for future appointments. Bonus things I've noticed that they do differently here (thanks guys these are so awesome for pain relief): weighted heating pads, cooling balms, and some kind of warm compress. This was my first time at Oasis Thai Spa & my first ever Thai massage. I opted for the 90 min Thai Hot Stone massage, and June was my therapist. I was able to get a same-day appointment on a Friday afternoon - I arrived a minute or two before my appointment, was given a pair of slides to wear and was shown to my room. The massage itself was wonderful - June applied the perfect pressure based on what I asked for, and dedicated a lot of attention to the areas I had called out, particularly my shoulders. She kept it varied though, and moved to different areas/techniques often, so I didn't get too sore while she was working out the knots. She spent a few minutes walking on my back (new for me!) in the first portion, and then spent the rest of the time alternating between hot stones, oil (and hot towels to wipe it off), and just pressure. I wasn't sure what to expect from the 'stretching' aspect but it was pretty mild - it felt nice but didn't go beyond a typical stretch I might do on my own (supine twist, quad stretch, chest stretch). It's not a 'luxury' spa like some others, but if you're just looking for a good massage, Oasis Thai Spa is a great value for the cost. I'll definitely be back! read more

Great deep tissue Thai massage by Andy! I like that you fill out an intake form to tell them what areas to focus on. They warm up the large muscle areas with heated pillows and start gently warm you up before performing the more firm movements. He asked if it was ok to massage the head and walk on my body. This was my first time getting a Thai massage so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm so glad I said yes to the head massage and stepping on my body - it's like nothing you've ever felt before! I had a very stressful week with a lot going on. My back and arms felt like they were going to explode from the tightness in my muscles. I called this place and Mai was able to schedule me in right away. I was received by Sophia who was my masseuse and I had a break down. She was so kind and held my hand and hugged me. She worked on my body focusing on the painful areas and I felt so much better. I also did Thai massage for the first time at Sophia's recommendation and it was excellent. The space was very clean compared to what I've seen in other places. I loved that they ask you to remove outside shoes so it felt like home as well don't use shoes at home. The price was reasonable given how clean it was and how wonderful the service was. Two things I would request to improve: 1. The room was pretty tiny so it was hot in there. It would be nice to maybe get AC in the massage rooms. 2. I'm not sure if they used Vick's or some kind of vapor rub as it smelled like Vick's, but my face was burning and itching when I left. I have proudly become a germaphobe after the pandemic, or let's say hyper-aware of cleanliness in any space and Oasis Thai Spa is thankfully VERY CLEAN! You are first welcomed with hand sanitizer at the door and bootie slips (like from the hospital or for painters) to cover your shoes. They prepare and sanitized the massage beds with new linen and covers between their clients. I always feel confident coming into their space and not paranoid that I may have caught COVID. After you fill your health history form, the massage therapists take the time to confirm the areas of your body that need the most TLC. Mai is the most kind, considerate, friendly, and I will add STRONG masseuse. We try to visit Oasis Thai Spa once a month. Sometimes I make appointments last minute, and Mai really works with us to squeeze us in. My partner and I argue over Mai lol The other masseuses are also very caring and considerate. Thai massages are not for the weary. They will get into those knots and stretch you in ways that you didn't know you could lol But I always feel brand new after every session. read more

Mai is the best Thai/deep tissue masseuse I have ever had. Her skills are unparalleled and she is able to release the tightest muscles with ease. I trust her implicitly to tell what is the most my body can handle with the Thai massage stretches. The hip release stretches in particular are phenomenal. No pain no gain. A massage I didn't know I needed. Due to COVID-19, I haven't been out much at all, so I won't lie I was a bit apprehensive about getting a massage, but my fellow Yelpers put me to ease with their reviews. I was able to easily make an appt for my mom and I. They let me know everyone but one person was fully vaccinated (that person, just half way done), and all women. When we got there, the door was open and it was light and airy. They gave us booties to put on so we wouldn't track any germs in and hand sanitize. We filled out little forms of where to concentrate and where to ignore. We were taken to a shared room quickly and told to settle in. The masseuses came in shortly thereafter and got going. They wore masks the whole time and gave us the option to remove them. 1.5 years, my body thanked me. I will for sure be making a trip again as I felt really safe. read more
