That night I received a call apologizing. They offered me an extra 30 minutes on my next massage. So book another appointment, pay for it 100% and we will give you an extra 30 minutes for free. If you get a membership it's $89 an hour, which is a great deal. I've been here 3 times now, with the membership and found Brian who does an amazing job. Some massages I find painful, he works with my body not against it and actually listens to me. I've had 2 sessions with him and highly recommend. You can pick someone depending on your pressure needs right really find the right match for your problem, or just relaxation. The staff is very nice and helpful. I started hopeful to have a local weekly massage. My first massage started out great as well. Then, the therapist was working very hard on my thorasic spine and for a long period of time. She asked for my email and said I needed to see a chiroprator. She emailed me the referral. Well my rib was out of place from the massage. That was why she was trying so hard and then referred me to a chiropractor. I spent weeks in pain. Still hopeful, I booked a massage with another therapist. Unfortunately , I had to cancel and called in to reschedule for the following week. I was billed 120$ for the cancellation, accused by management that I didn't cancel and basically called a liar. I am usually wary of these massage in a box places but I was lucky enough to find Valerie there who actually knows what a "deep tissue" massage actually is. And please only go to her if you also know what a deep tissue massage is, because you have to actually want someone to help you with your knots and tension, and it isn't all relaxation and rubbing oil all over. I feel like I got beat up pretty bad. I went for a massage today as I got a 1 hr massage coupon as a gift. My appointment was at 2:15pm and I arrived at 2:08pm. I filled out some forms and sat down at 2:15pm. I was called in 5 mins and got ready by 2:25pm. When massage was ended, the time was at 3:05pm. I didn't even get full 1hr. Valerie massaged me today and I told her that I want low pressure. I told her couple times during the massage that it hurts. Today, here I am getting bruised in both arms/shoulder area. My wife used a gift card (pictured), it was accepted, and then later that day the owner called us. She had some bizarre reason for it, but she RETROACTIVELY CANCELLED THE GIFT CARD! I've never had this happen before. She was told that she did not have authorization to charge the card, as it was never provided as a means of payment, but she did it anyway! Elements Massage requires a credit card to book an online appointment, and they offer no assurance of securely storing that information. This is the second credit card incident I've had with them, and they gave us 2 gift cards for future use. AWFUL and potentially illegal use of credit card information. There is a turnover with therapists so when one of your favorites leave, you have to choose another. Luckily, there are several therapists and plenty of appointment times. I try to book several months in advance to make the most of my membership and get the therapists I like the best. I have never had a bad massage here and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the massage tables are comfortable. I off-handedly mentioned that my low back feels weak when I lie on my back and my therapist went and got a huge wedge bolster for my legs! I never thought to ask before but now I ask each time. I followed Vladimir here from Sunnyvale. I like the fact he has super strong pressure. I do a lot of hair, body waxing for work so my body hurts. On top of that I workout 3-5 times a week. Ouch! So if I'm paying for a massage please beat up in a good way. The front desk staff is super nice, and I really liked them. I prefer male massage therapists, just because they have given me the strongest pressure. However, unfortunately they don't have one that does cupping with my schedule. Terrible business practices!! I received a gift card for a massage or I never would have agreed to their terms. Even though I had a gift card I had to enter my CC information to book the massage. Furthermore, the only way to enter my CC information was to "Save" it into your system. Additionally in the terms and conditions, I had to approve they sharing my information with other partners AND 3rd party vendors. I asked to have my CC information deleted but it still shows when I check my profile. I will never come back for a massage and certainly would never recommend anybody to sign their life away to your company for a massage. read more

I've waited to post a review as I wanted to visit enough times before I expressed my thoughts. It's been almost a year now (joined in Dec 2023), I joined with the monthly membership and have been going regularly. It took me about 3 visits before I found a therapist that I really liked. When I first joined I really wanted a female therapist, as I've had some uncomfortable situations with male therapists in the past, but nearly all of the therapists for the evening hours were male, so in the beginning I was frustrated because it seemed like I couldn't find a time that would work. I finally decided to try a male therapist, Ben and really liked his style. I appreciate that he is very respectful, letting me know when he's going to move the sheet, he inquires if the lighting is ok, asks permission before doing anything that could make someone feel uncomfortable. And, I truly believe he is passionate about his job. Thank you Ben, I look forward to my next massage. Pretty good massage, except they don't honor the full hour. My second massage I was only in the room for 50 minutes (as they were running late) take away changing time, and we're looking at 45 minutes tops for a massage. I expected my time to be made up but it wasn't. It's my bad for booking another massage without asking prices... but since my first prenatal massage was at the $79 introductory rate as a normal massage, my gym that I get monthly massages at doesn't charge more for prenatal massages, and they never mentioned anything, I made an assumption. They charge extra for a prenatal massage which is ridiculous since it's only a pillow that differentiates the massages. They say it's the training that the therapist does, (I don't think they're paying for that training over and over again and how much was the training... I'm not sure the ends justify the means...) it's kinda like they're assuming this training is like a masters degree where they should be getting $20 -$40 more and hour!? What? I've been a member here for around a year now, and I love my monthly massages! Being a teacher, I NEED THEM! Haha! I've had several different masseuses here, and but I really liked Rica! I had her twice now. She puts a lot of pressure, but in the end you feel amazing. I really appreciate how she gives you information about your body (which parts are very stressed, which parts might feel strange the next day, plus gives you tips on how to help your body). It does get a little pricey, but it's part of my treat yoself days. The facility is always clean. They give you chocolate and water after your massage. What's cool about their membership is that you can give your massages as a gift to others or you can use it to upgrade your own massage! I like how the massages roll over too, super helpful when you can't squeeze in a monthly massage. Parking is great too! :) read more

First impression, an Everlasting impression! I came here for a Yelp Event, Elite I may add. Elements Massage is hard to locate and is nestled in a corner next to Nob Hill. Parking is difficult, be careful and lock up your ride!! I was greeted with smiles and met the owner Sally. Her staff was great! After fillng out the health questionnaire, I sat inside to wait for my appointment. There is a single door with a sign, Entering Quite Zone. Once beyond the door, the hallways are darkened, and a soft, relaxing music is playing. I was sent to a waiting room, known as Redwood. All the rooms are named after beautiful locations in California. Other people came inside and were confused...I think that they must thought it was "their own" private lounge?! I was again greeted with a smile by Genia my massage therapist and escorted to the Carmel room. We made small talk. I told her that I need work at my shoulders and alone my spine. I told Genia that I have a high pain tolerance, and so she smiled. Once on the really warm table, very warm, I just wanted to take a nap... Genia bagan to work out the stress, tension and discomfort of life and make me feel human again. Genia worked out knots, it actually brought a tear to my eye! Times up!?! Nobody wants to hear this!! I gathered myself and then Genia advised my of the issues (knots) in the muscles in my back. I've been to a few different spas and various massage boutiques, never I've been happy with the treatment, facilities and care. Had my first massage here after three neck spasm attacks in the last month. I was desperate for some skilled deep tissue massage attention on specific areas to help lessen my pain. Both people I interacted with there were very friendly, and my therapist, Andy was very skilled, using trigger point and movement to work on the knots and tension. I almost hate to share just how good Felisa is because she will be even harder to schedule with (because she's so great), but she deserves the recognition. At my massage Weds, I mentioned I was having foot issues that could be related to muscle tightness in my legs. She suggested adding cupping to my full body massage. What an amazing experience! I had a Spafinder giftcard and found Elements Massage through the Spafinder website. I called to make an appointment and they were able to schedule me within a few days. They had to reschedule me though, but they were able to reschedule me for the same day with a different therapist, Kisha. Kisha was awesome! She was kind and made me feel at ease right away. The amount of pressure was perfect (she also asked in the beginning) and I felt so much better after. She also gave me pointers on what kinds of stretches and exercises to do (I was having shoulder and neck pain)--I don't think I've gotten that type of advice after a massage before. The first time, I was generously given a 30 min upgrade. This time, the woman who called to cancel told me she would have to speak to her manager at 3 and they would get back to me. When I had not heard from anyone at 6:30 I left a message. The front desk manager got back to me right away and said that it was unreasonable to expect that. I let her know that it was not unreasonable for them to charge me $45 when I had less than a 24 hr cancellation so why was there no compensation when they did not deliver and gave me lass than a 24hr cancellation? I really do like getting a massage here. The staff is friendly and professional. We used to be wellness members but one reason we stopped was because our credit card had extra charges on it. For example, if I filled out a questioner for them I was supposed to get 30 extra minutes added to my next massage. I would remind them of this when I booked my appointment and when I checked in, but they would still charge the extra money on my card. Then I would have to call and have them take the charge off my bill. Eventually it would be reimbursed , but this happened a few other times with similar offers. Today I took in a gift card to pay for my massage, they asked me twice if I wanted to put today's massage on the charge card I have on file ..... I came here the first time for a Yelp Elite event. My experience after my massage at the Yelp event persuaded me to join their Wellness Program. Service here is top notch! The front staff are very tentative. They'll offer your water bottles or chocolates as you wait to go in for your massage. The massage rooms are really great. They set the environment to your comfort level (i.e., the lights can be dimmed and the table is adjustable). The decorations are simple, earthy, and clean which is a good thing. Too much decoration can be too much of a distraction and take away from the relaxing environment. My full massage experience was very relaxing and I felt so refreshed afterwards. I did the 55-minute session which felt so short since I was enjoying it. I kinda dozed off during a portion of the massage since it was so relaxing. I really like how they accommodate your massage to your needs. They'll ask you what type of massage you want (i.e., light, medium or deep tissue) and which areas you want to focus on. And of course you can always change your mind and adjust the massage to your liking. Then after the massage they will give you suggested exercises to try to help with your troubled area(s). Like for me, I was recommended exercises to help with my neck and shoulders. Overall, this place is great. They really care about you and your well being! I highly recommend the Wellness Program if you go frequently. It saves you money and you can cancel whenever or put the account on suspension. You also get discounts on gift cards during promotions. I decided to book even though Martha was noted as softer...that being said she did an amazing job! the massage room was nice and relaxing and she talked only at a few places which i appreciated cause i wanted to be relaxed. at the end i got dressed and she greeted me with some exercises as well as a bottle of water. i have had a number of massages and they have never told me to drink the H2O like woah. it's needed to help after a deep massage! funny thing a friend had just explained that to me hours before i was heading in. i then got an email from Yelp for an elite event for a message...here! woot woot. I found Elements by searching online - and I am so happy with the find. I feel lucky to have come across this place. The office is clean and professional - the staff is always friendly. They also have complimentary water and chocolates while you wait for your massage therapist. I'm a musician and have been going to massage therapy for tension and repetitive motion injuries for the past 10 years. I have regular appointments with Jappa - who (hands down) gives the best massage I have ever had. He's intuitive, experienced and knowledgable and he always asks questions to individualize my massage. My arms and neck feel 11 feet long after every session. At the end of every session, he gives me stretches and "homework" to help keep loose between appointments. He's a pretty cool guy with years of experience and I always leave feeling realigned and relaxed. I haven't seen any of the other therapists, but I wouldn't hesitate to make an appointment any of the other massage therapists there.
