The room is very nice and clean with relaxing music playing in the background as well as nature sounds of water. The lights are dim to your level of comfort. You can remove as much or as little clothing as you like. I laid down on the comfortable table and waited for my masseuse. You can choose a male or female masseuse when you make your appointment. Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. It was so relaxing and therapeutic. I really liked my experience with Laura. She helped my back feel better which is a miracle. I will definitely be coming back here again for more services. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. I've heard loud conversations that felt like people were shouting across the space, cabinets slamming, and even staff walking around on speakerphone speaking loudly. While I was able to somewhat tune it out during previous visits, I recently brought a friend, and he was very unhappy with how noisy it was. People come in expecting a relaxing, and peaceful environment as that's the whole point of getting a massage. Unfortunately, the constant noise made it difficult to fully relax and took away from the overall experience. My daughter was unaware of that and did not use the gift card "in time" I am more than aware of legal codes as I will be taking legal action against them. California Civil Code 1749.5 states that it is unlawful for any person or entity to sell a gift certificate to a purchaser that contains any of the following: (1) An expiration date. Having an expiration date on the card goes against this law and I will be filing a complaint with the California consumer protection agency against this business. I called to let them know about this and they claimed they could not survive in business if they honored the gift card. How is that possible if I pre-paid for a massage, did not get the service, and now they have my money? How can they run a business without knowing basic law concerning businesses? In any case, after about 20 minutes, he not only starts digging in more aggressively but is basically pounding me with his elbow and jabbing the back of my neck. I begin to feel a burn right below my shoulder and I start thinking maybe some hairs are getting rubbed out which can cause pinching sensations, mind you I don't have a very hairy back at all as you can see in the photos. I ask him to take it easy, frustrated with his overly aggressive methods. He begins to apply whatever cream they use and it stung like hell on both sides of my back. I told him to stop and take a photo of the area as it felt like my skin was being ripped off. He insisted it was hair being pulled. The photos only showed red irritated skin which is to be considered during messages but I knew something was off. I told him the session is over and that he is far too aggressive. Since I couldn't see any blood, I could only assume it may have been ripped out hair so I did pay for the time but told him I absolutely will not tip him. Once I get home, I take a shower and the warm water is burning my skin, at this point, it hurts to even lift my arm or bend over since it stretches the skin. I could barely sleep that night and sure enough, this morning, you can see skin literally broke and peeled away on both sides of my back. This guy assaulted me and needs to be removed from the profession!
