She offers a customized facial based on your skin concerns, and the time she spends interviewing you and asking questions doesn't factor into the time spent on your facial! You can tell that she really cares about her craft. She discusses the ingredients in each of her products and what they aim to do. Her hands are so gentle as she works the product into your skin, she asks you about your skin concerns and also observes them herself. She always makes sure you're comfortable and her bed is heated and in an ergonomic shape for massages too!!! I left very refreshed and rejuvenated. It would really help if doors were kept closed during sessions and if noise was minimized overall. Customers are walking in and out of that common area, so that door should remain closed at all times to avoid noise entering other people's sessons. I've heard loud conversations that felt like people were shouting across the space, cabinets slamming, and even staff walking around on speakerphone speaking loudly. While I was able to somewhat tune it out during previous visits, I recently brought a friend, and he was very unhappy with how noisy it was. People come in expecting a relaxing, and peaceful environment as that's the whole point of getting a massage. Unfortunately, the constant noise made it difficult to fully relax and took away from the overall experience. (Of course, this isn't a guarantee that you can always get same-day appointments, but I'm so grateful Martha was able to that day.) The place is small but adorable, and the massage rooms are so cozy and soothing. But the thing I absolutely adored the most about Martha was that she is willing and QUICK to listen to her clients, whether it be their concerns or requests. I told her something was too painful (just due to my sciatic muscle issues of at least six months) and she immediately took a break from the area to focus on something else. She listened to me throughout the whole thing and made sure to consult me about my history and how something felt or if her massage technique was doing what it should. I also have bacne and had leg stubble that I was fairly insecure of--Martha did not care. She worked through them both as if they were not there. I'll have to come back because the muscles are still messed up but it hurt too much to keep going--mind you, though, that's to be expected after being messed up for so long, and I was 50% looser walking out of the place.
