Came here for the first time with my mom for a couples 1 hour deep tissue massage the other night and we had a very enjoyable time. I prefer a really strong deep tissue massage and had mentioned that to the front desk when i booked my appointment, they were accommodating and made sure we matched with the right therapists. I had Steve and he was great! At first Steve was very gentle, as most massage therapist usually are because i'm quite petite so they assume i cant take the pressure, but as i told Steve could use more strength he was VERY firm! I could tell he knew exactly which areas were tight and where he need to focus to undo the knots. Steve even found knots in areas i didnt know i had. My mom's massage therapist was Yoyo, she must have been very relaxing because I could her my mom snoring through the majority of the massage session. Pricing wise they are more affordable compared to the other massage parlors in the area, which is great because i'd be able to justify coming back more often. I have a membership here and pay $65 a month. This includes one massage a month but I go at least twice a month. I work in surgery and spend hours in the operating room so regular massages are a must! I always leave feeling relaxed and muscle tension relieved. Clean environment (which is the minimum expectation) but not the most aesthetic "vibe". All of my masseuses have been great but Angie and Hui are my favorites. They are both methodical, and both have strong pressure, great touch, and amazing technique that is consistent every time. (Unfortunately did not like Lily's haphazard technique and weak pressure). They offer add ons like hot stone and aromatherapy. Only downside is that the rooms are all connected with an open space near the ceiling. This means you hear everything from guests that come and go and talking throughout the space but they play relaxing music, I am too relaxed to care, and I usually fall asleep anyway ;P Clean, friendly staff, gets the job done! read more

Recently, I visited Zen Massage Therapy because my friend kindly gifted me a 60 min Swedish massage. It has been a stressful month and this was a great stress relief. I decided to take my mom too and we left happy with the experience. Since then we're starting to come back routinely. Zen Massage Therapy is an Asian Woman owned business located in Santa Theresa. Thank you Tina, Dores, and Joanna for the great experience! Booking was easy. You can either do so online or call directly. They send you a text confirmation for your appointment. I appreciate how flexible they were overall. I had a 60 minute session and got to split it 30 min each between my mom and I. When we brought my aunt along, we split 90 minutes across the three of us. The plaza itself has plentiful parking. I can tell anytime I go I'm not going to have to worry about finding a spot. Upon getting there, they have you fill out a form with focus areas. I really liked this concept so that there's more attention where you need it. They offer private rooms that are either single or shared. Once you're inside, they give you time to settle in and get undressed. There are hooks to hang up your clothes and belonging, and a small digital clock if you need the time (probably won't pay attention to it anyways but nice it's there). There is a gap between the walls so you might be able to hear what's going on outside. Honestly I was so in the zone and there was music playing that if there was any noise, it wasn't distracting enough to affect the experience. The massage itself was great. My shoulder has always had tense knots, and they were able to help relieve that. My masseuse put in a lot of strength into it which I appreciate. I left feeling quite relaxed and it was a noticeable difference in my energy. My mom has been to a couple different places and really enjoyed her experience at Zen Massage. She usually is critical, but only had good things to say that she wanted to come back again. Super happy she felt that way because she's always complaining how sore she feels. At the end, they are kind enough to get you water. After my massage, I looked at other places to compare and theirs is reasonable and more affordable. For a 60 minute Swedish massage, it is normally $65. The price goes down if you do a couple session ($125 total) or have a membership ($55). We ended up getting a membership because it was a wonderful offer overall. Every month you pre-pay for at least one 60 minute session and receive membership pricing. There are no additional fees and you can cancel anytime. Plus, you can book for your friends and family which means they get your membership pricing too! At the end of your session, they provide envelops to tip your masseuse. There provide a gratuity guide. My only critique is that although they do a great job, the amount on the guide is over 20%. The good: They sell gift cards and have promotions. They have around 10 rooms in the back and multiple massage therapists at one time so you can get a couple's massage. My mom gifted me a massage here for Christmas. I tried the one hour prenatal massage for $80 and thought it was very relaxing. I liked the option for dimmable lights and I liked the relaxing music. The bed was warmed and comfy. The blanket and pillows were also comfortable. Making an appointment online was easy to do. The receptionist and massage therapist offered me water which was nice. They also sell products out front that include CBD cream. I liked that there was a survey you filled out in advance where you choose what areas to focus on and what areas to avoid. The rooms were clean and tidy. The warm towels they use to wipe off the oil was very satisfying. The room temperature was appropriate. The bad: I made an appointment for 1PM and got a text to confirm that my appointment was for 1PM. The next day (day of appointment) I got another text saying my appointment was 12:30 and then I got a call at 12 saying my appointment was at 12:30pm. I don't know why the system changed my appointment but I did in fact choose 1pm. I think they wanted to change it to accommodate their schedule. We ended up compromising and I came at 12:45pm. My prenatal massage could have used more pressure. I am unsure if they were going light handed on me because I was pregnant but it would have felt a little more satisfying with more pressure. In the pre-survey, you can choose for more pressure but I often find that the standard pressure at other places is more than enough. They also subtract 5 minutes from your time for the time that you spend taking off clothes. They didn't actually do this for me so that was great. This isn't a practice done at other massage places. I circled to avoid feet in my survey but I still got my feet massaged. It wasn't a big deal but I was a little confused. Perhaps the foot massage would've been more intensive if I didn't circle the "avoid feet" in the pre-survey. The rooms are separated by walls but some of the rooms, at least mine, had a gap on the top so that you could hear into the room next to you. This diminished the relaxing feel of the massage when a new client entered or when an existing client finished their massage. The 1.5 hour massage is the same price per minute as the 1 hour massage. I thought there should be a slight discount for requesting longer massages or there should be some incentive to pay a little more. The music was a smidge too loud for me (though it was relaxing type of ambient music). The pre-survey asked if I'd want to focus/avoid the scalp/face so I was expecting that to be part of the massage but I didn't get a face/scalp massage. The interesting: You pay for your massage before you get your massage. I thought that was different. They have suggested tips (3 per price range) and all are over 20%. read more

It is a new place and so wanted to give it a try. I was quite pleased with the Deep Tissue massage for 60 min by Eva. I was under lot of stress personally when I went in but the massage, the ambience and the background music totally relaxed me. I would highly recommend the place. They charge less than many others in the vicinity - $70 for 60 min of regular massage. They also have an annual plan which works out to $55 per month when you sign up for a year.
