Outstanding service, and knowledgeable body work. I visited Tomak several times immediately after a horrible car accident. It was the standard SF TaxiCab vs Bicyclist. Both of my arms were broken in multiple locations, with full casts from the tips of my fingers to my shoulders. Tomek was able to work on my muscle and nerve damage through my neck, face and arms. Now I can type again, and he greatly reduced the pain by his knowledgeable understanding of physical therapy and the human body. I go out of my way to visit him again and again. Overall, a good massage. I would go back, but I'll still explore other options and maybe keep this one as my backup. Nothing wrong with the experience, it just didn't wow me. Pros: - strong massage, good technique - gives you the full hour, in addition to meet/greet & change - doesn't talk during - definitely works out the kinks - returned my call right away, fit me in same day - texted me to make sure I had the right address - wasn't a frou-frou spa experience, just a relaxing atmosphere (I consider this a good thing) - nice low music, no overwhelming incense or essential oils Cons: - didn't ask a single question (what are your trouble areas/area to avoid, what pressure do you like, what's your health like, have you had any injuries, is this your first massage, etc.). I had to volunteer info, which seemed to throw him - massage room has windows which look out onto the back of an apartment bldg, and which were left open. Kinda awkward since I noticed them AFTER I took my clothes off to get under the sheet. - I had my hair in a ponytail & he pulled on the band without warning so he could rub my head. I called around 2ish, left a message and he got back to me the same day and said he could fit me in at 7:45. I've been so stressed out with work and other stuff, and he definitely worked out most of the kinks...obviously it's not all going to go away in one visit. Tomak has been my number one solution to migraines for the last 6 years. I have tried medication and chiropractors but they all seem to fail over time. Seriously, if I could give Tomek another star, I would. That is how good he is. I just got back from seeing him for the first time, and I could not wait to Yelp him. He gave me, hands down, the best massage I have ever had. Ever. I called relatively late because my schedule is always a little crazy, and Tomek very kindly fit me in...no problem. I had a little trouble finding the place (it is not very visible from the road,) but that was the ONLY stress I suffered the whole time :) I had never been to a male massage therapist before, so I was a little nervous, but Tomek made me instantly comfortable. He has a very confiding way about him and is kind of a happy ball of good energy. He got right to work on me and knew exactly how to fix me (which, considering the fact that I was in so much pain I couldn't sleep last night, is pretty amazing to me.) Tomek is my luxury and can't live without him! I do go out of my way to see Tomek but he is very flexible and will accommodate you. He is very interesting and fun to talk to, as well, and very professional. I do my regular yoga for stretching and chiro adjustments for my lower, mid, upper back + neck pain (which spreads all over from head to toe when it does) but there are times when you need to get your muscles released and spots pressured and he works magic. Wow no wonder he has solid 5 star review! I am so glad I found him. I felt like I was coming down with something so I decided to go see my acupuncturist the day before. Plus I have suffered some headaches lately so I wanted to see what was going on with my body. I went to my acupuncturist and he suggested that I also get deep tissue massage. I am going through transition in life so I do have little bit of stress but also I regularly do CrossFit so my shoulders are very tight. Tomek first asked me how I was doing. I told him what was happening with my life and the workouts I do. I had requested that he just focus on my back and neck. Oh my, do I feel like a new person today! I decided not to even do cardio workout today as I am feeling so much better. My shoulders feel lighter and no sore spots on my back. I have been seeing Tomek for about 8 years now on a weekly basis and he is by far the best massage therapist I have ever gone to. He helped me through two tough pregnancy's by helping to keep my blood pressure in check through his knowledge of prenatal massages. I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated after our weekly session.
