Had an incredible experience at 99 foot spa this evening. Was a walk in, had excellent customer service and care. They were attentive to my needs. My masseuse was Anna and she gave me an incredible deep tissue massage. I had terrible knots from being hunched over my computer for months now. She was attentive, communicative, and kind. 10/10 recommend read more

My mom recently had a unsettling experience at at this massage parlor where she fell victim to dishonesty and credit card fraud. After agreeing to the service price, she paid part of it in cash and the remainder with her credit card, only to discover later that they had deceitfully charged her card for the full amount and presumptuously filled in their own tip. To make matters worse, the staff shamelessly demanded a $10 tip right after completing the service. This kind of deceptive and aggressive business practice is completely unacceptable, and we will certainly never trust them again. read more

My friend girl and I actually found 99 foot spa Massage by accident. My friend and I wanted to get a massage, and we ended up walking in without really planning it. It turned out to be a really good surprise. Cindy was great. She kept checking if the pressure was okay and asked where I needed more attention. You can tell she knows what she's doing. And something I really appreciated is that she can communicate clearly in English, which makes everything easier when you're trying to explain your pain points. 1. Relaxed, clean, and friendly. 2. Calm place with great hands and great service. 3. Simple spot, good energy. Aldo de owner are súper friendly. read more

I stopped in for a massage, $45 for a 1hr ft massage and when I walked in it was silence and then the staff members made comments in their native language, pointed/looked at me and started chuckling. Strike one. I pre paid and mentioned I can only tip with my card as I had no cash, so I paid before and tipped 20%. This was before anyone ever touched me, while the massage was an hour it felt like this guy didn't give two hoots or a holler, no pressure, didn't ask me any thing regarding 'too much/ too little' barely used any oil or lotion and really just felt like he was rubbing circles. His hands felt all greased like he didn't wash between massages. For a foot massage the dude probably spent 10 minutes on my feet. Strike two. Leaving the establishment, 3 staff members stood in front of me and said 'tip tip tip? No tip? Cheap cheap' Strike three. I will never set "foot" in this place again. Complete waste of money. read more

My partner and I each got a "foot" massage in a shared semiprivate room (space with two massage beds separated from others by curtains). This massage started out fully clothed, but in the second half, they asked us to remove our shirts, which was fine, since my masseuse did a pretty good job on my back and shoulders, strong pressure using her elbows and forearms. But she was off the mark for most other parts of the massage, and didn't quite hit areas of tension on my body. She did manage to push on my leg bruise, near my knee, after I clearly showed her the sensitive spot up close (with a purple tone on my skin) and informed her about it verbally at the start of our session. She also left me with an oily face (her hands went all over, didn't even wipe it off by the end)... though it's not a big deal... not as bad as rubbing on my bruise repeatedly, even with me pulling my leg away a couple times, lol. By the way, you'll hear relaxing melodies in the background during your massage, combined with loud (and not very good) karoake singing next door which can be heard through the walls, a very interesting blend of sounds. Overall, the massage wasn't bad, I think if she didn't push on my bruise against my wishes, I would have given more stars. read more

Warning: prices on their site do not match price in store. Online combo massage showed $45 which seemed reasonable but inside signage said $50 cash, $55 card so it was $10 more than expected! Masseuse was pretty good. Increased pressure when asked (note: no English so request had to be in Chinese). Clothed for first half and shirt off for second. Fairly empty when I went so the"semi private" room which was an enclave with 2 beds and a curtain along a hallway only included me. Overall for the price would not recommend read more

My husband and I have been here before, a couple years back, and went again just recently. We had a quiet and relaxing experience and would definitely come back. We did not feel pressured to tip a certain amount, as reviews describe, however we tipped about 20% because we felt it was appropriate to do so based off our experience and the price of the service. The decor is simple and not that of a 5-Star luxury spa, so don't go in with unreasonable expectations. We didn't care about the aesthetics because our eyes were closed the entire time. If you're looking for that kind of experience, don't come here and then give a poor rating based off that comparison, because it wouldn't be apples to apples. I think a lot of people review based off unreasonable expectations. The price is more than fair for what you receive, if not under-market, which balances the lack of aesthetic that others may be expecting/looking for. You can call ahead to make sure they have availability and let them know you're on your way, which is what we did. You can also just walk on in. If you like a certain pressure (harder, softer, etc) let them know ahead of time/in the moment and they'll adjust accordingly. read more

Found it through Google! Easy to make a walk in appointment. The massage was what I expected and needed. Would go back when in the area!

I've been coming here for years and I always find this place to be clean and friendly. I always request Jerry. He's very professional and has strong hands. He always manages to find exactly where my trouble spots are and works to help relax those muscles. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. What a joke. They are unprofessional. Huge language barrier. This guy attempted to do a neck massage on me with cold hands and cold products. It was already freezing inside this place. Never asked me my preference for male or female massage therapist. This place is not warm or inviting and no one tried to make this right. I jumped up and asked for a refund. The worst foot spa I have ever experienced. I will never return and I advise you to not waste your time or money. read more

Price was good but bathroom was very dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The masseuse was also rubbing my back entirely too hard. Lastly, they try to force you to tip at least $10. Tip is based on service and if you don't want to tip you shouldn't have to. read more

The prices are reasonable, the massage technique is superb, and it comes highly recommended.

I've been coming here for years and recently I go there once a week as I'm totally satisfied with the caliber of the massage and the technique they use. I love the fact that they use hot towels to get the oil off. Hot stones are also a nice treat. I generally get a body massage for an hour. I feel totally refreshed when it's done and it's really helping with my sore muscles since I work out every day. Price is reasonable and staff are very friendly. I always call ahead of time to make sure they have an open spot. Glad this place is in my neighborhood and parking is easy. read more

Interesting location for a massage, located next to a smoke shop lol. My fiance and I called in for two people and walked in and were greeted within 30seconds and were told to wait a couple of minutes for the workers to set up. The waiting room furniture is a bit of an odd choice and very outdated. We chose the super combo massage and were asked to pay first. The masseuses were great. I like deep pressure which was what I received from the male masseuse and my fiance got a lady and asked for light pressure. We laid next to each other in one section of the rooms. They soaked our feet. They started with the head to neck, then arms, then legs, then wiped us down. Then brought us into separate rooms (which I didnt like, I wanted a couples a massage) . They asked for us to be topless and lay with our backs up and they massaged our back for the remainder of the time. Got dressed, tipped them and left. Overall good massage for the price and time. These places are the types owned by asian establishments that are cheaper in price, but dont look as amazingly clean as American Spa super "clean". I like these asian establishments because they dont talk, they just massage and it destresses me for $60/90mins. American massages cost over $100/hr and all they do is talk which does not destress me. read more

Wish I could rate this higher because the massage was excellent but the lack of communication from the receptionist side ruined the experience for me. Am I being too picky? Perhaps. I called this morning to schedule an appointment for the afternoon and when I arrived, the receptionist hardly spoke English. She also said cash tip only which she did not say over the phone and I only had $5 in cash. She told me eventually that I could pay with card. I opted for the super combo massage which as of June 2024 it's $70 for 90 minutes (I have noticed from previous reviews prices change frequently) my massage lady was very impressive. She did an excellent job and was very thorough and I felt very relaxed. After the massage, I was asked to give a mandatory 20% tip. As a customer it really annoys me when anything related to mandatory fees is not discussed during the phone appointment, also there are no signs that say this percentage is required. So in the end, the massage costs around $85 with tip. Still a decent price but I've had better experiences for that amount. I wished they would offer water since it was quite a hot day and it was a long massage. But I do appreciate the place was clean and in good condition from the inside. Would I go back? Probably not. read more

Over due review but this place is soo good! We literally called that morning (1.16.23 MLK Day) hoping a spa would squeeze three of us in and sure enough 99 Foot Spa accommodated us and took us within 15 mins after calling. (We called like 4 spas, I know poor planning on our part lol). Any how, I opted for an hr full body massage, 4th one ever in my life.! This place by far had me leaving so refreshed. I've gone to Burke Williams of Santana Row and a few other spas in San Jose and Capitola and I don't recall feeling so relieved and relaxed like I did this day. It was a much need massage as I was so tense than I have ever been. My masseuse hit all the knots around my shoulders and back. I actually felt bad for him bc I knew how bad I was. But he made it happen and relieved most of my knots. So happy I went that day. Sad part was I did not catch my masseuse name. I hope to get him again next time. My friends and I will most definitely be back on our monthly girl's wellness outing. Must try if you have never been to 99 Foot Spa. read more

99 Foot Spa - Us girls left soo happy and refreshed! - Massage Near Me - San Jose, California

My husband and I booked the 30 minute $39.99 neck/back massage last night, and unfortunately the language barrier is a huge issue here (Chinese). I visited around 3 pm attempting to 'book' an 8pm appt that evening. The male employee had me speak into this phone via Google Translate, and not sure if he understood, as he seemed surprised we showed up without 'calling' ahead of time--even after leaving our names/phone numbers and '8pm' on a paper. The gal who 'massaged' me was too harsh with digging in her elbows and forearms and my back is sore/almost bruised from how rough she was--I felt like a punching bag! These are NOT massage therapists nor Tui Na specialists (Chinese massage) and its obvious they lack basic anatomy of the body. The worse part? Another employee had no clue 'what' we ordered and asked my husband to remove his pants....for a neck and back massage! He tipped very low because he wasn't happy with getting his legs rubbed when his neck was killing him & the gal asked for a bigger tip! I am hoping the communication improves (to employees and for the customers) after this review. The 'manager' must explain 'what' each customer requests clearly to the employees. Also, the ladies didn't communicate why they exit the room (to get hot stones), which is not on the 'menu' for neck/back massage that is posted to the wall. All-and-all, this was really a let down. read more

This place is not the same anymore! They changed owners 3 times. I miss the original owner, and his staff, Paul was the best and his techniques were so good. I always left so relax and happy after getting a massage from him but ever since they changed owners, the place went downhill. I've given this place so many chances after because it's so hard to fine a good place. Sadly this last experience will be my last time going here, it was the worst, the lady who did it rushed and didn't even massage my back properly. They normally have you take off your shirt and they properly massage your back, that's how you can get into the muscles and knots but the lady just massage with my shirt on, let's just say I didn't get any relief from my back, it was still so tense! l just miss Paul the OG owner and his staff. read more

My cute feet were aching after being on my feet for a work tradeshow and also from walking around from place to place while exploring the area. My flight got cancelled and I had to find a new flight that was much later in the day and after my check out time, so I looked for a Reflexology/Foot Massage business for some stress relief. I came in and selected the Foot Massage ($35/hour) since my feet ached more than the rest of my body. I paid the man in the front, who I suspect is the owner, before he called out a friendly cute lady to come get me. The interior looks sectioned off with curtains to promote separation per pandemic safety protocols. Manage your expectations. The place is not the fanciest, but it fulfills the functional needs. No frills. The lady was super nice but it seemed like she did not know much English. We communicated with hand motions. We started off with the foot soak while she massaged my neck and shoulders. I opted out of the face and head since I didn't want to look messy and the covid thing. Afterwards she went on to massage my arms. Her hand motion and techniques were relaxing and enjoyable. Then she proceeded to my feet. It was like magic how she spotted where I felt the tension and gave it extra attention. I think it felt so good I nodded off for a bit during the foot massage. Then we flipped over face down and I received a mini back massage. It was amazing. Worth every penny!! Too bad I am not a local, or else this would be an awesome spot for my reflexology needs. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and coworkers who are locals. read more

A good, no frills massage spot. Generally able to fit you in with a phone call an hour or so in advance; and has good quality therapists.

Amazing massage for a great price! I've been coming here for a few years and highly recommend.

Beautiful spa and skilled masseuses . good combo massage. This is my first time there.

Very good, went in for a foot rub and they also rubbed my scalp and shoulders while I laid on my back it was amazing 10/10

Came by for a foot massage the other day and was able to get my masseur of choice by calling ahead 25 minutes prior. Parking is plentiful in the private parking lot, albeit in this somewhat gentrified area... The exterior is pretty decrepit and the waiting area is minimalist with a comfortable leather sofa. The massage parlor itself has been fully remodeled since my last visit with semi-private enclosed areas for foot massages instead of a large communal room. The towels were surprisingly good quality and thick! Masseur started off with a foot bath and very thorough head, face, scalp, shoulder, and arm massage. Moved on to a pretty in depth foot and leg massage before ending off with a back and shoulder massage. Quality was surprisingly decent. $2 surcharge for credit cards. Free massage after 10 visits using their stamp card! read more

They just raised the price to 30. I'm bummed because I've been here many times and always tip. I went in yesterday after a few months away to find they had raised the price by 5 dollars. I only brought 30 in cash and I didn't want to use my card so I didn't have a tip at the end - something I was already embarrassed about. The only who did my massage started muttering behind me and complaining to her boss. The lady at the front desk kept saying tip to me. They would let me leave until I put a tip on my card and when I told her to put a five dollar tip she laughed at me like she had never seen me before (I've been there over 20 times). Oh and when I pointed out that they changed the price and I didn't have any more cash on me they made it seem like that had always been the price. Not cool. Very upset with the customer service. Still giving three stars because they do a solid massage and I don't mind the 30 dollars - I do mind being forced to tip on my credit card before I could leave. read more

99 Foot Spa - My favorite place to be after a Long work week. - Massage Near Me - San Jose, California

For pregnant women: So I'm 11 weeks pregnant. I didn't realize the "Foot Massage" was a whole-body deal that included having to lie down on my stomach. Upon my masseuse's direction to turn over, I tried to explain I was pregnant. He said nothing in response (perhaps due to a language barrier). So I went ahead and laid face down and was grateful the furniture piece had enough of a cushion for some protection. If you want to be extra careful during your pregnancy, I would advise going elsewhere for your foot massage where the routine doesn't include going prone. For anyone wanting to stay fully clothed: This also isn't the place to go. While I lay prone, my male masseuse says, "Take off," and motions to my shirt. He respectfully stayed back (behind me) so that I could remove my shirt and place it to the side. Facing back down, I feel him personally unclasping my bra on my back and then guiding my arms out of the straps. He lays my arms back down along my side and proceeds. Truthfully, this was a shock. But I rolled with it and trusted the masseuse. Why did I trust this male masseuse? Because his technique from jump felt like he's been doing healing work for 50 years. I could feel the energy from his shoulders to his arms to his hands tend to all my knots, and even the headache I came in with. He got all the things that needed care from my forehead to my toes. And I fell into a deep sleep at some point. The marker of a bomb massage. So aside from a bit of the shocking moments, it was a legit 1 hr "foot massage" for $35. I tipped $10. I'll come back after I birth this baby and recover! read more

Like others I wasn't sure what I was walking into when I approached the door but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm no stranger to cheaper foot massage establishments where it's zero frills and you can usually hear someone watching a movie on their phone. I'm okay with the whole setup but I've had good and bad experiences. This place delivered on its promised 90 minutes of combo foot/table massage. It was just me in there for most of my service and other staff were chatting and on their phones. If that kind of thing bugs you this place is not for you. You should expect to tip $15-20 considering that rates are priced well below market. The woman who massaged me checked in on pressure frequently and was gentle. read more

Ahhh-mazingly worth it! My husband and I called last minute and we got an appointment right away. They have foot spa for $30 and combo for $35. We did the combo and it was the most needed massage! Perfect pressure and my husband said they were able to help him with his frozen shoulder. We both left super relieved and satisfied with our massage experience. The place kept clean! The only negative thing is that they are located next to a karaoke bar? And we could hear the other place's noise while trying to relax. Other than that, it was great! We will definitely come back! read more

I have been here 4 times now and can legitimately say I have not been disappointed! I had a different masseuse every time - all men so far. They have been really great at working out all the knots in my shoulders. I mean they dig in deep.. It's painful, but so worth it. I think the price is as good as you can get. The foot massage is really good too. You can get a foot and body combo 1 hr. for 40 dollars. Best deal in town! The place is clean and comfortable. I come here often for a relaxing foot massage, but I recently was in a bad car accident and had some internal bruising on my chest, and intense soreness in my upper back. I decided to upgrade and get the "body massage" for $60. I explained my situation about my sore back, and the man who gave me the massage took his time to work out all the tension. He did such a wonderful job, and a few hours later, I am sitting here with much needed relief since the accident. I highly recommend this place, and if you're looking for a massage that targets a certain area get the body massage. ** 3.5 star experience for me As many of the reviews mention, the lady in the front does not speak English, and the credit card machine has a $2 processing fee. There is a weird moth-like smell when you walk in. Once you get over all of that, your experience will be fine. For such a small storefront, they have quite a few massage beds in the back. I walked in ~10PM on a Monday night and at least 80% of the foot massage beds were filled. They look to have around 4 full body massage rooms, and approximately 8-10 foot massage beds so I doubt they're ever all used at once so reservations are likely easily made here. The price, of course, is unbeatable. And the massage wasn't the BEST, but it was pretty up there. I would come again, for the price, as the masseuses are all quite nice, and their pressure and the massage was above average. However, the storefront definitely needs more work, some softer towels to avoid sandpapering my skin would be nice, and some soundproofing from the karaoke bar next door is necessary to avoid a weird ambiance. read more

Lady in the front does not speak English, if you use a credit card there is a $2 processing fees. Best foot massage I have ever had ever! I been to foot massages place in LA Area, Sac Area, OC, SF and Seattle, but 99 was the best foot massage parlor I been too. First time I had a lady name Rose who massaged me. Second time I called in to request her, the lady that answer the phone told me Rose will be helping me. When I got there I was told Rose was at another location... But they had another lady to help me. The second lady was good as well. Both time my friend and I was knocked out during the foot rub. First they massage your upper body with you laying on your back while your feet is soaking in some warm water, then they massage your upper body once they're done with that step next comes the amazing foot rub for about 30 mins. After the foot massage they ask you to turn over and take off your shirt off and lay on your chest. Once your laying on your chest they unhook your bra and oil you up and give you another 20 min back massage. Took all my knots out of my neck! I can't wait to go back to SJ for work so I can get another massage! read more

Sketchy from the outside, amazing on the inside! If you get the older woman with reddish-orange-brown hair, you're in for a treat! She has extremely strong pressure and doesn't just rub on you, like a lot of these places. Highly recommended! Although, beware that they make you pay ahead of time, but don't allow you to sign in the tip. So then you're charged twice the card running fee ($2 each time) if you don't have cash and want to give a tip. Just make it easy on everyone and come with cash, if you can. read more
