*Review left after 5 massages in 1 month* Oh my gosh! So glad I stopped by this place. I live super close and decided to finally stop in. I'll be honest... I was nervous after reading the reviews hence why I wanted to go a few times before leaving a review. I know sometimes a place is amazing the first two times, get you hooked and the service drops off. Not for this place! My first massage was for an hour and a half with Ella. 4.5/5. Very good, I did the combo half body, half foot. Pressure was great. I went back 4 more times and had George. He is kick ass! He makes me feel comfortable, always kept me covered and had the perfect amount of pressure. He's so nice and I never feel awkward or anything. I do want to address some people talking about the tipping and also how they have a recommended tip chart. When you go out and eat, your receipt has a recommended tip section. We have accepted that? I'm going to be honest here.. you're paying $40 for a one hour foot massage.. frankly that's wrong if you're not tipping at least $15-$20. Some one hour massage places are charging $120-140 excluding tip. I understand this isn't a luxurious spa, but come on! $60 including tip for a foot massage is reasonable. If you didn't like it, I get it... don't go back then or you can give feedback during the massage. Don't be shy. My only feedback for them is the last two times I was there, it was a bit stuffy. They said no problem, can you come in 30 minutes? We said sure! When we arrived, the two young ladies in the front said they could not do one hour, only 30 min. We said no problem, we will come back in 2 days at 6 PM for a one hour couple's massage. They said it's okay, we can do an hour, please stay. The room was cold, they were coming in and out of the room multiple times, walked in on us undressing, then scolded us for lying between the sheets and kicked us off the table and told us to put towels on. I have had massages there in the past under previous ownership and it was pretty consistently good. This visit was disappointing. The purpose behind a massage is to relax, release tension throughout the body in a quiet setting. That means no talking ,no disruptions. And if you expect a tip for service , provide good service. Don't start massaging and then pause to request payment. Don't tack on a surcharge for CC payment at the start. Then negotiate a tip and in the event the CC is the only payment option, add another surcharge. You better go back to business school. This experience was one and done. read more

I really really had high hopes coming here. The place is clean and nice but that's all. Let's start with the front desk man, he was cool but definitely pressured for us to do the table massage however, I stuck with the 1hr foot massage. Then the actual massage was all over the place and was highly disappointing. Let's just say the whole right side of my body barely got massaged. She barely poked my back and neck with her fingers. The lotion was slapped onto my skin and it was really cold and would shock me. The front desk man massaged my wife for 10 mins, switched to ac lady and then back to him the last 10 mins. On the inside, the spa is quite nice. On the left side facing away from entrance, there are beds separated by curtains for the "foot massages"- in quotations because the foot massages incorporate head, neck and legs along with the feet. On the right, there are three rooms for body massages- one has two beds for couple massages. You have the option of male or female masseuse. For the foot massage, clothes on. Body massage- clothes off. Both include hot stones. I like the package deal which includes 30 minutes foot and 90 minutes body for $85. They have a stamp card which is great value. After a few massages, I got $20 off. The walls and curtains are thin so I've overheard couples in the past with regards to tipping. They prefer cash tips, although there is an option to tip with credit card after. Massages are paid for upon arrival. Don't be the person that gets an hour foot massage for $30 and doesn't tip. I'm ok with that... but one thing that really makes me feel uncomfortable is the sign suggesting to tip like $20 per hour. That would be $30 for a 90 min. ($89) massage but I only tipped $20. I have been going to this place for years on a weekly basis. My favorite massuce Angie is gone. A few months ago I had Linda and she tried to end my massage 10 mins short. I told her my time is not up. She said it's only 5-10 mins. I told her i pay $30 and $10 tip every week i been coming here for years. She reported me to the owner and said she doesn't want to see me. I have been coming here for years but it now seems to be under different management with different staff. My friend and I had a terrible experience there yesterday. We booked 30-minute combo massages. My massage therapist kept leaving me and was gone half of the time attending to another client. She finished after 30 minutes and claimed she had given me 5 minutes extra for being gone some. (She provided around 18 minutes of massage time.) When she was there, she and the other therapist were chatting and laughing the whole time and providing a poor massage with zero relaxation.i tipped my provider thinking that I just won't return again but my friend refused to tip for a bad experience. Save for the pain that I did not know was somewhat normal to experience. But wow! It was really great. I had a guy do the massage on me (i'm a girl) and that was a little weird at first but after about 10minutes, I didn't mind at all. Came here to get a massage after a long days of work. I ordered a 30minute foot massage and a 60 minute regular massage. I was taken to the foot area massage and was asked to take my shirt off. (While there are other people in the same area. No privacy!) They put a used blanket on me that they use for every other customer (not sanitary). They then spent 45mins just doing random massages (nothing to do with my feet). Then they moved down to my feet and spent about 10mins there. Then they gave me a 20min back massage and I was done. Mind you I had my pants on all this time. I was getting a massage with my belt, pants and wallet still on me. I felt so uncomfortable. They got massage oil all over my pants. I've been to several of these foot spas in the South Bay and this is my favorite even though I've only been here twice. I like the curtains for added privacy and the service has been good. Today I noticed they had put up several signs suggesting a $10 tip per hour. Increasing tips is a common practice at foot spas. I've heard of other places verbally demanding a higher tip after the service and another place once lied to me they didn't have change for my bill. I don't appreciate the underhanded methods so I'm glad they're posting a notice. However, the cash I had on hand was for the $20 foot massage and a $5 tip. When I thanked my masseuse and handed her the $5 bill she grimaced and pointed to the suggested tip notice. I said "Oh, sorry.." and she angrily walked away. The notice says they're suggesting $10/hr tip in order to continue offering services at the lowest possible price but tips are for the employees, not the business. If the business is struggling I would much rather pay $25 and choose to tip $6 rather than feel like I'm being strong-armed out of a 50% gratuity. read more

I love a firm touch, and she definitely has it! Such strong hands, but not too much- just right. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I called to change my appointment time by 1/2 hour; no problem. David was the friendly gentleman who handled my scheduling. I loved the heat packs that Mary put behind my back, and the riser for the basket of water so my short legs didn't dangle painfully. She also tilted up the bed to ease pressure on my back. Rejoice Foot Spa has pretty decent prices for a 1 hour foot massage. You actually get a mini body massage with it as well. The girls definitely work hard for the money. Both ladies I came in contact with were friendly and never pushy about services. (or tip..I've been to some places where they make you pay a "mandatory" tip) Of course, they earned it, so they got it. I just don't like the feeling of being bullied into a corner. Anyhow, I digress. The facility is clean, calming, and I was quite surprised at how quiet it seemed for the location and the hustling and bustling area. They have "rooms" sectioned off but no real walls so you can pretty much hear everything. However, if you aren't here for any funny business then you should be fine. The massage itself felt good. Their techniques were better than average. You can tell that they knew more acupressure theory than others I have been to who just seem to 'wing it'. I'd definitely come back and check them out again as, the location is close, they were friendly, and the massage was relaxing. I have been to many foot spas. My friend recommended this one, so we met there. When I arrived, the woman was making my friend pay IN ADVANCE, which I never do, but my friend was, so I did. The massage was fine, not the best I have had, but not the worst.
