$25 for an hour long foot massage (was a little bit less than an hour but wasn't complaining for $25)...

Date: Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 Time: 12:15pm…read moreBooked: about 2.5 weeks prior Staff: Samantha Martinez 60 Minute Deep Tissue Massage: Web ($130) - Using slower strokes and firmer pressure, our therapists target the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to help release tension, chronic pain, and muscular stress. A girlfriend and I decided to do a spa day. I had no idea where to go, but she suggested Ritual. I found two appointments on their website and booked them a few weeks prior. You must hold the appts with a CC, but no deposit is needed. Parking was pretty easy to find. I found parking right away across the street. We started off with my massage therapist asking what type of pressure I prefer. I said I like it hard. No pain, no gain. Get those knots out. And since I work at a computer all day, I told her I carry a lot of tension in my neck shoulders. After voicing that, I did find my massage felt more like a relaxing swedish massage. The pressure wasn't that hard. One thing I did note, they start on your feet but don't wash their hands afterwards when they move on to the rest of you. I kinda found that a little weird. I mean, I did just shower before I showed up, but still. I will never say no to a massage so glad my gf and I did this. Tho I wish I spoke up more during the massage. Completely my fault so I won't dock them for that. Still a nice relaxing experience. REVIEW #3923

I've been here a couple of times to get sideburns waxed, back of neck waxed and a Brazilian wax…read more All of my waxing experiences were incredible and nearly painless. I never have to wait long to be seen after arriving to the spa. Every esthetician I have had was friendly and kind. I love that you have the option to opt for a female esthetician. The only reason I gave Ritual 4 stars instead of 5 is because the older receptionist is often unwelcoming and surly.

The deep scalp therapy was so relaxing that I ended up falling asleep. My head felt great while she was scraping my scalp. One of the coolest parts was the scalp camera as I was shown the close-up of my scalp and I found it very interesting to see oil buildup even though I was initially told my scalp is pretty clean. It made the treatment feel even more worth it. Overall, the experience was super calming and thoughtful. You can really tell they care about their clients and take their time with the service. I left feeling refreshed and my hair has never looked this healthy.

What I really want to review was what happened at the end of my last service. While laying in a blissful state of relaxation I was suddenly jolted awake by a forceful BONK on the top of my head. Was it her fist or a specialized bonking contraption? We may never know! It was startling and honestly didn't feel great. I thought maybe she just hated me but then I asked someone else if they were bonked and they said yes. They should let you know that your service has ended with a gentle tap on the shoulder and whisper not a forceful bonking. #NOBONKINGZONE

Writing from the massage chair as I wrap up my first visit -- and I am already a regular…read more This place was a Mother's Day gift, and what a gift it was. I came in for a 90-minute Vital Premium Scrub and left completely transformed. First, the space itself: spotlessly clean, with none of the black mold issues I've seen creeping into older spas in the Saratoga area. That alone is a relief. I was lucky enough to be assigned to Young, and she is in a class of her own. Small but telling detail: she uses a gel face pillow so you can lay face-down comfortably the entire session. If you've had enough massages, you know how much a folded towel starts to hurt after an hour. I asked if this was a house standard -- it's not, it's just her. That kind of thoughtfulness sets the tone for everything. Her scrub technique was the best I've experienced in 20 years. No exaggeration. Her massage hit every trigger point without me having to redirect her once -- pressure, focus, timing -- all dialed in perfectly. The front desk staff were equally impressive: warm, attentive, and they personally walk new guests through the space so you never feel lost. The one area with room to grow: the aftercare products in the drying area. Having visited spas in Palo Alto, and even facilities in South East Asia, I've come to appreciate a quality face lotion and hair cream post-scrub -- especially when you're not carrying your own. A small upgrade there would make this truly flawless. Also worth noting: there's a communal lounge with 30 minutes of complimentary massage chairs, laptop workspace, and free WiFi. Hidden gem. ANDDD there's a cafeteria!! This is my new favorite spa. Hands down.

I've never done the full rotation of hot tub to dry sauna to steam sauna to cold plunge - it was genuinely painful. If you've never experienced this, be prepared to get your heart racing. I was expecting a relaxing experience, but the saunas will leave you out of breath, and the cold plunge will shock your system. It's supposed to be really good for detoxing your system, and I definitely felt like I sweat out a bunch of toxins. We really enjoyed the massage chairs after this whole rotation and showering. The massage chairs are super comfortable and have a variety of massage options. It was so soothing that I fell asleep during my massage. There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep in multiple rooms lol. Bay Spa was the perfect introduction to Korean spas, and I will definitely be returning!
