I had an excellent experience with Shirley at Spa City Massage Center. She gave a full 60-minute massage without rushing and paid attention to every area that needed relief. Her massage was strong and therapeutic, exactly the pressure I was looking for, yet incredibly relaxing. She also included a wonderful face and scalp massage, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Shirley has amazing hands and a very calming, caring approach. I never felt rushed, and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session. If you're looking for a skilled massage therapist who is professional, kind, and truly wants you to leave feeling better, I highly recommend Shirley. I'll definitely be coming back! The best part was that the massage was truly affordable. read more

I have been going to Anna and Lee for treatment for a long time. Their techniques are different, but both have been very helpful in reducing muscle tightness in my back and legs. I highly recommend them both. read more

I found this place on Groupon and decided to try it out. I made an appointment through their website, and you're able to choose the available masseuse. Since I haven't been here, I relied on the reviews, and most say that Lisa is great and it did not disappoint. She was very skilled and knew what she was doing, and she took all the tension out my back. After the massage, I felt relaxed. I requested a medium pressure, and it was just right, and she checked in periodically to see if the pressure was okay. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience here and will be coming back next time and will recommend this place to friends and familiy. read more

This is my favourite Spa / massage place in the Bay area. I'm a massage person and have done massages in the best resorts in the US including Claremont in Berkeley, Esalen Institute in Bigsur, Mohonk Mountain House in New York, Refuge in Carmel by the sea, just to name a few. When it gets to massage and facial, Spa City is even better that all those while charging a fraction of them. Their services are high quality and the staff are highly expert and professional. Don't worry about the language barrier, you can use your translator and for me that's not an issue. I love this place, I go there every week and highly recommend it. My favorite masseuse is Lee (young, energetic, and knows the body very well) read more

I won't be returning because of the unprofessional staff. For instance, a staff member dropped a hot rock on my head, and they didn't even apologize. Also, during my massage, one of the ladies went to the restroom and didn't give me enough time to finish. I did tip her, but when I gave her the money, both of them started laughing. That's why I'm not coming back to this place. I would like to get a refund for this bad experience. read more

On 4/21/26 my friend went for a birthday 90 minute massage that she had an appointment for booked in advance. Upon arrival she confirmed her appt but was asked if she wanted to do 60 minutes instead to which she said no she wanted her 90 minute appt. The lady at the front told her she could do 60 and another masseuse would do the last 30. My friend thought it was a little weird but it was a late appt and she didn't want to not have a massage at all so she said ok. Upon the 60 minutes ending the first masseuse rudely called her next client in front of my friend and then proceeded to WALK over and GRAB my friend's wallet, and ask her to pay for the last 30 minutes AND tip her . My friend vulnerable under the cover did so but found it horrible . A very disruptive unrelaxing birthday massage . I hope they give her a refund . read more

My treatment at this location was honestly the worst I've received. I had scheduled for a Deep Tissue Neck and Shoulder massage. When my masseuse started, she started on my lower back and legs. Confused, I told her what I scheduled for did not include my lower body. She says, "It's okay, I'm doing a full body." I did not want a full body, I would have scheduled for that if I did. So I repeat "No, I scheduled for a head and neck, not a full body." She responds, "I'll do a full body for you". I repeat again, "I just want a head and neck massage, not full body, please". She did not take no for an answer and repeats "I offer you a full body". I don't want to argue where I'm supposed to relax, so I let it go. I then received an oil rub of gentle pressure for 40 minutes, with the occasional deep pressure. Frustrated, I decided to end the session early as I clearly was not receiving any of what I had asked for at this point. There were no refreshments offered, only an "okay, bye" and a point to the door after paying. I left feeling more tense and uncomfortable than I went in. I cannot recommend this treatment for anyone else. read more

Amy was great! Very intuitive and knowledgeable. Great job of finding knots, hitting soft tissue, not bone, etc. Highly recommend.

The front desk was very friendly and quick to get me checked in. Abby was my massage therapist and she was amazing! She listened to my requests and made sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. Overall great first experience and I plan to return. read more

I booked a massage expecting actual technique and muscle relief, but instead, I got someone just rubbing me up and down with no real pressure or skill. It felt more like absentminded petting than a professional massage. There was no focus on tension points, no variation in movement--just the same repetitive motions over and over. Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend. They also did not want to give me a receipt. I had to ask multiple times until they gave me a paper, written receipt. So annoying. They push you to pay by Venmo/zelle then they tell you they don't do receipts for those types of payments. Not coming here again. read more

Very disappointed on the behavior of the staff ... when I walked in I had mentioned that I wanted a full body massage i understand there was a language barrier so I pulled out my translator. The lady was telling me to just come back tomorrow "tomorrow " " tomorrow " I had to tell her no today. It felt like she was just dismissing me saying I would like to be seen today. Lastly when I was leaving I tipped the lady 20% from $155 and the lady that just had her hands on me for 90 min laughed and said something to the cashier and the cashier said " that's it no more money " . It really made me feel uncomfortable because for me it was something I needed , to relax and I came here. I will not be coming back. read more

Got a 60 minute deep tissue massage by Amy. She applied good strong pressure and also periodically checked in to see if I was okay with the pressure or not. Mainly used her elbows and forearms. Cost $80 and had to pay before massage was received. Decent experience read more

Great place to get a fast quick massage! The staff is very friendly as well. Stephanie always makes sure you're happy with your message.

MOST SHITTY MASSAGE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN IN MY LIFE!!!! front desk didn't greet nor say hello as my friend and i walked in. When we got into our rooms, no relaxing music playing at all, only thing i can hear was the lady sniffling as shes just rubbing me up and down, was not even a proper professional massage. She seem Like she didn't give a f*** bout the massage. And when it was over i got dressed and started to exit the premises . She chased me down for a tip! Hell no!! The service was shitty as hell and they chased me down for a tip!! Gtfo read more

My wife and I received a massage in this place as a gift on groupon. Horrible service. Don't even try to buy the massage on groupon, they will simply not accept it and refuse you in service. We made an appointment in advance and showed up to it. After we presented the coupon a lady at the counter began waving hands at us aggressively and shout "No! No!" in broken english. We left without receiving any service. We'll be trying to dispute the issue with Groupon as well. Stay out of this place. It's that bad, really. read more

I bought a groupon deal for a couples massage and called them up to schedule my visit. It was hard to understand the lady on the phone but I was able to set up the appointment. I arrived and the front desk was busy on the phone. There was a couple already waiting for their appointment. People were coming in and out. The front desk lady looked up and asked how she could help. Told her we had an appointment and after a couple minutes she told us to go back. We were walked to our room showed in and left without instruction. After about 5 minutes two ladies walked in and began massaging. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the full body massage. The pressure wasn't strong enough to make my back or body feel relaxed. The ladies for the most part didn't speak through the massage which helped us to concentrate on relaxing. Once finished we got up dressed and we were greeted outside with a cup of cold water. We tipped and we were on our way. Overall, the experience was OK. It didn't leave enough of an impression to want to return but glad we got a chance to check it out at a Groupon price. read more

I I called to make an appointment because I saw it on Groupon and there was no availability for using the Groupon and when I called they told me that I could come in for a 1-hour massage for $60 but I couldn't use the Groupon I would just have to pay cash. I said that was fine and I came in. I was scheduled at 2 p.m. but when I arrive the only person there didn't speak hardly any English at all. I'm used to that somewhat but that person didn't even know what I was asking for when I told her I was there for a 60-minute massage! (There's a problem if she doesn't know those words and she works at a massage studio.) So I called the number on the card that she put in front of me and spoke to the same woman I had made the appointment with earlier and explain to her I need someone that understands English so I can tell them where I need pressure and where to focus the massage. She asked me if I could come back at 3:10 and I agreed and I am happy I did!! The massage therapist who took care of me was amazing! Her name is Jessica and she works 6 days a week (on call cuz she li es nearby) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. but has Wednesdays off. She wasn't completely fluent in English but that allowed me to just relax and not father having conversation, which sometimes I do. She was AMAZING with the right amount of pressure and attention to every part of me INCLUDING giving me a really delightful and unexpected scalp massage! I told her I would be doing this once a month to take care of me, something I have not done in such a long time but she's only 5 minutes away from my apartment so I am so glad that I found her and didn't try to go somewhere else a minute someone couldn't communicate in English. read more

I used a Groupon for a massage since it was a great deal and the first thing that I get greeted with when I arrive is "Groupon? Ok" no warm welcome or hello. It was not what I expected. And my massage therapist didn't even ask where I want to get massage which never happens when I go to other massage places. Then when the massage was done she immediately holds out her hand and basically demands for a tip. I told her I don't have cash and ask if card is okay. She then proceeds to grab her iPad and type 20$. She didn't let me choose the tip. It was so jarring that I don't even know what to think about it than it being very bad customer service. I did not feel very welcomed and I left feel cheated on. I don't recommend coming here. Worse experience ever. read more

Was a nice hour massage for $60. I was surprised at the end when told that a $20 tip was mandatory. Technically that's a 33% tip. I will go back knowing this but felt in fairness they should post the expectation since the masseuse was very direct about it! read more

We booked a couples massage for 3pm. Got there early and checked in. We were told it was going to be a few minutes until the room would be ready. No problem at all. They eventually got us into the room. We paid before the massage for a 60minute massage $120 plus a $6 fee to use our credit card. Once in the room they told us to undress and lay down. The women came back to check on us and mentioned that the other masseuse would be there in a few more minutes. After about 15 minutes waiting in the room the women who was working the front desk and took our payment came in. She started my massage and my husband still did not have anyone to start his couples massage at the same time as me. I was being worked on for a good 15-20 minutes before someone came in to work on my husband. My masseuse left the message ti answer the phone and the door beep that kept going off the whole massage. Finally someone came in to do my husband. She left shortly after to get the front door again to help whoever was out there. My massage ended mind you I started 15-20 minutes earlier then he did and about 5 minutes after my masseuse left his massage ended. We feel cheated for as we did not receive the full time. It was not fully relaxing and we left disappointed. read more

I was a little skeptical to give this place a try after reading some of the reviews but I figured I'd give it a try for the price and because my back was hurting. I walked in at 1:50pm and they told me to wait 10 minutes but they didn't show up for 20 minutes. The massage was really good but I thought it was weird that about 20 minutes in, they switched on me. The 2nd masseuse had cold hands at first and apologized but she did a good job. The massage was over at 3pm, which bugged me a bit because I got shorted 10 minutes just because they started 10 minutes late. I took a star away because of that but I will give this place another try. Hopefully, I get a full hour next time. read more

First time I came amazing service. Very friendly. Offered water, asked about what services i wanted and just overall a good experience. Second time not so much. Front Desk Receptionist, gave me the option of only cash or card (5% fee for card use), the massage was decent but masseuse did not ask if there was any focus areas like that last time, kept repeating the back area for full body. As she walked me out she said you pay tip. I was going to anyways but did not like that it was asked and she made me feel uncomfortable. The front desk was in the middle of assisting another guest and she the masseuse said again "you pay tip here", i hadn't moved, the other guest felt uncomfortable as well and even asked the front desk if they wanted to help me instead. I politely told her to continue. After this I was shown that you can pay Venmo no fee. Just not the best experience. read more

Let me start by mentioning that the place was clean, the receptionist seemed like a nice lady and they respected the groupon price. If I want to describe my massage in one word, I would say: heartbreaking! I workout frequently and I have many knots on my back. Unfortunately the young lady who massaged me was very very weak and even when I asked her for if she can use more pressure, she pushed her elbow all over my poor back. I have a pet bunny at home and honestly I feel more pressure when my bunny jumps on my back than her. Also need to mention that she totally skipped my lower back and feet. I went there with a broken back to fix and came out with a broken heart on what else could I have done with my hard earned money. read more

Walked in, in pain with a knot in my right shoulder. Was greeted by two girls who didn't seem to speak English as I asked them how were they and they just look back, nod their heads and say "yes"! I tell them about my knot and let them know I am in pain, I get another "yes" and a finger pointing at the pad to use Venmo to pay! I pay, after that, one of the girls then walks me into this room, has me take off my shirt and bra to lay on this very questionable bed as she starts to massage me I start to feel her very long hair all over my body, 30 min of pure torture, however she was rubbing on the knot so I suffered through thinking I would at least feel better after. That being said, massage is over, my back is now in even more pain, I walk by the counter and as I m leaving, the two girls stop me, which I tell them I am in more pain and I need to leave, they look at me and say "tip" I respond "excuse me" and they both respond "tip""tips""tips"!!!! What a disappointment, I would have not left a bad review if my back wasn't in pain despite the nightmares I will be having of her long hair over my naked back!!! I found Spa City on Groupon. I called immediately after purchasing my deal (on a Wed) and was able to book an appointment for that Saturday. My husband and I showed up for our couple's message 10 minutes early and were able to start our appointment right away. The spa was clean, calm and inviting. When the therapists came in, they got straight to work. They didn't tell us their names or ask if there was anywhere in particular that they'd like us to focus; that's my only complaint. The massage was a great overall, full-body massage--including feet, hands, face and scalp--with the appropriate amount of pressure. I will definitely be going back. read more

Disappointing. Came in with a sour back and left with a sour back. I'll start with the pros: The place is clean and cozy. The cons: I mentioned to my therapist that my back was sour and asked for a deep massage focused on my back. The massage was ok but she was all over the place and rubbed my body as opposed to finding sour points and focus on these. I do a massage about once a month. It just didn't feel professional. I left disappointed and with a sour back. I will not come back again. read more

I paid for a 1 hour massage. The girl came in at almost 2:45 and was done at 3:30. I am very disappointed in the service provided.

So disrespectful. I went here with a friend.... she got the Groupon discount, and I agreed to pay a different price for the convenience of getting the massage at the same time. They started the massages and then 5 minutes in turned on the light and demanded that I pay up front in a rude manor. Since The massage had already been started, I paid the amount in cash but felt very disrespected. Afterwards the lady demanded a tip and stopped me from leaving asking why I didn't tip. I always tip (and quite well I might add) , but given the way I was treated I felt that the tip was forfeit. She gestured at me rudely and my friend and I left. I would definitely avoid this place. Although the massages are decent, they treat their customers terribly. read more

Came in for a massage walked up to the receptionist is she completely ignored me for about five minutes I wasn't sure if I should leave or go have a seat. I didn't want to push the issue so I wouldn't have a seat about two minutes later she asked me for my appointment information already a bad taste in my mouth you always acknowledge your customers when they walk in the door. Went in for a massage 10 minutes late and what do you know my massage is over right at 5 o'clock should've been one hour instead it was only 50 minutes. The massage was a 7/10 it was decent I would of been satisfied if the customer service was decent The kicker after the massage as I walk to the atm to pull out cash. Got a groupon deal for a Couple's Massage on groupon for $64 because groupon had a $10 off promo going on as well but still had to tip so its kind of the same thing. Got there 30 minutes early on a thursday, the girl up front was new (she stated it was her first day) she asked how we were gona pay i told her i got a groupon and she didnt know what to do with it. And she asked me what she should do and i told her maybe you should click "redeem voucher" and maybe write down the info so you dont get in trouble. Then she proceeded to tell me that i shouldve have gotten the groupon deal? Because they dont make money. And i looked at her and said "Maybe you guys shouldnt promote your businesss on groupon if you guys supposedly "dont make money". " Then she took us in to a small but ok couples massage room. There was no "Consultation" as advertised on groupon they didnt ask us if we had pain anywhere or if we had a choice on what oil or lotion they used...they just lather you up and theres no explanation on how everything goes. My partner and i had two asian women who were ok, except the woman massaging me kept YAWNING as in maybe 6 or 7 big yawns and i just kept thinking to myself, mann i should get up and massage her since shes tired.. Anyways, be prepared to be sore afterwards if you dont mention to not be soo rough...i swear my lower spine is really sore and i visibly see brusing..maybe cause she had skinny fingers that were digging for gold. Idk overall: Good parts: -Clean -Lots of parking -water afterwards -candy -they respect your private parts Bad parts: -No introduction -Yawning -mystery oil/lotion -Make sure your going to tip (even though honestly the customers are only obligated to tip if they feel they recieved a good job of a massage) But we tipped. Two stars for cleanliness. Dont think we'll come back even if it was an ok place for a massage. read more

A few points about this business: 1. I called in after reading a review on Groupon that stated they didn't prioritize Groupon customers, so yes, they said they would allow a same-day appt if we would simply pay them the entire Groupon value. In that case, I don't really care where my money goes, so we paid them the value of the Groupon. Neutral. 2. The quick service of the receptionist was appreciated. We scheduled a massage in the next 2 hours and the Groupon value was honored. Good note. 3. Now the massage, in my opinion, wasn't great. Lots of petting -- the masseuse didn't get any of my needed spots and didn't even ask if I'd like him to focus on anything. We didn't get their names and they only asked if pressure was okay -- to me, not enough, but I didn't say anything in hopes he'd get a little heavier (he didn't). Bad note. 4. One thing that is a big no-no in my massages is going down the spine. That is, not only dangerous, but bad practice and they did that NUMEROUS times. Very bad note. 5. Yes, the staff were friendly and honored the Groupon price with quick service, but the massage did not address the spots I needed, honestly, I didn't feel relaxed afterwards, so after another $15 tip for the masseuse, it's just not worth it. Find a better practice unless you just need a pet/easy relaxing session. read more
