Since I haven't been here, I relied on the reviews, and most say that Lisa is great and it did not disappoint. She was very skilled and knew what she was doing, and she took all the tension out my back. After the massage, I felt relaxed. I requested a medium pressure, and it was just right, and she checked in periodically to see if the pressure was okay. I won't be returning because of the unprofessional staff. For instance, a staff member dropped a hot rock on my head, and they didn't even apologize. Also, during my massage, one of the ladies went to the restroom and didn't give me enough time to finish. I did tip her, but when I gave her the money, both of them started laughing. On 4/21/26 my friend went for a birthday 90 minute massage that she had an appointment for booked in advance. Upon arrival she confirmed her appt but was asked if she wanted to do 60 minutes instead to which she said no she wanted her 90 minute appt. The lady at the front told her she could do 60 and another masseuse would do the last 30. My friend thought it was a little weird but it was a late appt and she didn't want to not have a massage at all so she said ok. Upon the 60 minutes ending the first masseuse rudely called her next client in front of my friend and then proceeded to WALK over and GRAB my friend's wallet, and ask her to pay for the last 30 minutes AND tip her . My treatment at this location was honestly the worst I've received. I had scheduled for a Deep Tissue Neck and Shoulder massage. When my masseuse started, she started on my lower back and legs. Confused, I told her what I scheduled for did not include my lower body. She says, "It's okay, I'm doing a full body." I did not want a full body, I would have scheduled for that if I did. So I repeat "No, I scheduled for a head and neck, not a full body." She responds, "I'll do a full body for you". I repeat again, "I just want a head and neck massage, not full body, please". She did not take no for an answer and repeats "I offer you a full body". I don't want to argue where I'm supposed to relax, so I let it go. I then received an oil rub of gentle pressure for 40 minutes, with the occasional deep pressure. Frustrated, I decided to end the session early as I clearly was not receiving any of what I had asked for at this point. There were no refreshments offered, only an "okay, bye" and a point to the door after paying. I left feeling more tense and uncomfortable than I went in. I I called to make an appointment because I saw it on Groupon and there was no availability for using the Groupon and when I called they told me that I could come in for a 1-hour massage for $60 but I couldn't use the Groupon I would just have to pay cash. I said that was fine and I came in. I was scheduled at 2 p.m. but when I arrive the only person there didn't speak hardly any English at all. I'm used to that somewhat but that person didn't even know what I was asking for when I told her I was there for a 60-minute massage! (There's a problem if she doesn't know those words and she works at a massage studio.) So I called the number on the card that she put in front of me and spoke to the same woman I had made the appointment with earlier and explain to her I need someone that understands English so I can tell them where I need pressure and where to focus the massage. She asked me if I could come back at 3:10 and I agreed and I am happy I did!! The massage therapist who took care of me was amazing! Her name is Jessica and she works 6 days a week (on call cuz she li es nearby) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. but has Wednesdays off. She wasn't completely fluent in English but that allowed me to just relax and not father having conversation, which sometimes I do. She was AMAZING with the right amount of pressure and attention to every part of me INCLUDING giving me a really delightful and unexpected scalp massage! They eventually got us into the room. We paid before the massage for a 60minute massage $120 plus a $6 fee to use our credit card. Once in the room they told us to undress and lay down. The women came back to check on us and mentioned that the other masseuse would be there in a few more minutes. After about 15 minutes waiting in the room the women who was working the front desk and took our payment came in. She started my massage and my husband still did not have anyone to start his couples massage at the same time as me. I was being worked on for a good 15-20 minutes before someone came in to work on my husband. My masseuse left the message ti answer the phone and the door beep that kept going off the whole massage. Finally someone came in to do my husband. She left shortly after to get the front door again to help whoever was out there. I walked in at 1:50pm and they told me to wait 10 minutes but they didn't show up for 20 minutes. The massage was really good but I thought it was weird that about 20 minutes in, they switched on me. The 2nd masseuse had cold hands at first and apologized but she did a good job. Let me start by mentioning that the place was clean, the receptionist seemed like a nice lady and they respected the groupon price. If I want to describe my massage in one word, I would say: heartbreaking! I workout frequently and I have many knots on my back. Unfortunately the young lady who massaged me was very very weak and even when I asked her for if she can use more pressure, she pushed her elbow all over my poor back. I have a pet bunny at home and honestly I feel more pressure when my bunny jumps on my back than her. Also need to mention that she totally skipped my lower back and feet. I found Spa City on Groupon. I called immediately after purchasing my deal (on a Wed) and was able to book an appointment for that Saturday. My husband and I showed up for our couple's message 10 minutes early and were able to start our appointment right away. The spa was clean, calm and inviting. When the therapists came in, they got straight to work. They didn't tell us their names or ask if there was anywhere in particular that they'd like us to focus; that's my only complaint. The massage was a great overall, full-body massage--including feet, hands, face and scalp--with the appropriate amount of pressure. I will definitely be going back. read more

I don't know if they changed owners but it was really not a good experience. I pre booked a couples full body "deluxe" massage directly on the website. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk and we waited about 15 minutes to be taken back. We got to the room and were told to undress. The website description says the room is "romantically decorated" for a couples massage. The room is not at all decorated. With paying more for the "deluxe" massage, it would be nice to expect what is in the description on the site. It also shows on the site that hot stone or essential oils add on options are available, which was never mentioned to us. Once the therapists came in to massage us , there was no 10 minute consultation, they didn't ask us any questions. They just simply started aggressively massaging our backs. We both have areas of concerns in our bodies and we expected that to be at least briefly addressed. The massage was way too hard and intense for me. I also noticed my therapist was the same woman who checked us in. I'm not sure if they are short staffed but I have a hard time feeling that she is an actual therapist..I was in pain most of the time , I groaned a bit and she asked "too hard?" I said yes , sorry. I assumed after I said yes, the pressure would be less but it wasn't. I did not feel relaxed or enjoyed it at all. My partner has never had a massage and this was for his birthday so I felt bad and disappointed that this was our experience. He told me after that the pressure was too much and we both woke up sore the next day. Our goal was relaxation not to be uncomfortable and not offered anything. I called in after reading a review on Groupon that stated they didn't prioritize Groupon customers, so yes, they said they would allow a same-day appt if we would simply pay them the entire Groupon value. In that case, I don't really care where my money goes, so we paid them the value of the Groupon. Neutral. 2. The quick service of the receptionist was appreciated. We scheduled a massage in the next 2 hours and the Groupon value was honored. Good note. 3. Now the massage, in my opinion, wasn't great. Lots of petting -- the masseuse didn't get any of my needed spots and didn't even ask if I'd like him to focus on anything. We didn't get their names and they only asked if pressure was okay -- to me, not enough, but I didn't say anything in hopes he'd get a little heavier (he didn't). Bad note. 4. One thing that is a big no-no in my massages is going down the spine. That is, not only dangerous, but bad practice and they did that NUMEROUS times. Very bad note. 5. Yes, the staff were friendly and honored the Groupon price with quick service, but the massage did not address the spots I needed, honestly, I didn't feel relaxed afterwards, so after another $15 tip for the masseuse, it's just not worth it.
