If I could afford it, I would come for an ear, hand and foot reflexology appointment every week to reset my body and soul! AJ's skill is extremely unique and my entire body feels better after his magic. Before an appointment one time my shoulders and neck were quite stiff and after the appointment I immediately felt it was easier to turn my head to check my blindspots while driving home. His ear massages put me to sleep almost immediately in the best way possible. To me, his massages can feel more effective than full body hands-on massages as it truly feels like energy can be released through the specific points he works on and he seems to be very in-tune with what the body needs. My mood is always elevated after an appointment, the worst part is when the appointment is over and my body is wanting more. I'm in the middle of a long cancer treatment at Stanford, and I was looking for a way to profoundly relax, and leave my cares for a bit. Reflexology has been a good choice for me in the past, so I was happy to see a certified reflexologist in the area. AJ has wonderful skills, particularly with long holds on the ears. He's very patient, and takes the time for energetic releases. The experience would have been improved for me if I had, for example, a short foot soak prior, so I didn't have to sit there wondering if my feet were really clean. I came to see AJ at the very end of my pregnancy to start labor prep/induction reflexology. I went twice, a week apart. The first time we avoided induction points but the second time I specifically wanted to hit all the induction points to try and induce labor (I was a day before my due date). I went into labor that evening! He had told me I would be 3 for 3 in induction massages if I went into labor within 24 hours. It's very relaxing, and he knows what he is doing. I had a hard time finding a certified reflexologist, as a lot of people say they do reflexology but it is just a basic foot massage, not actual reflexology. He is really kind and asks if there is anything he can help with. Currently, I have had some sciatic pain and I just saw him and already feel better. AJ is the best! I met him through my mom - an older, smaller woman who loves him. I'm a 6'4" 24 year old athletic male, the most opposite client imaginable. He was GREAT. Took care of me head to toe, releasing all sorts of tension I didn't know I had. Felt like a totally different person afterwards. What I really enjoyed was the insightful feedback he gave me. After that single session he noticed the right side of my back was significantly tighter than the rest. This man is a true healer! When I came across reflexology, I had been bed-ridden for over 10 years. I was diagnosed with an unknown autoimmune disease. I was in excruciating pain throughout my whole body, exhausted, and unable to care for myself on a day-to-day basis. I sought answers through the medical community to no avail. Leaving no stone unturned, I met with several physicians, every type of specialist I could find including naturopaths, chiropractors and acupuncturists. I tried cupping, herbs, had multiple rounds of medical tests, and physical therapy in an effort to heal my body. Nothing worked until I met AJ. So a few years ago, I found out a client's mom was launching a reflexology practice. I figured, "hey, I'll support a friend and enjoy a foot massage too". THIS IS NOT A FOOT MASSAGE, It is Reflexology! Going to her transformed my life. When she moved away, I tried all sort of chain spas and mall massagers, claiming to be Reflexologists, but none were experienced, certified by reputable sources, and/or skilled in reflexology. They were just foot massagers. Fortunately, my original practitioner found an amazingly skilled practitioner in AJ to take over her business. At first, I was skeptical that anyone could match or exceed her skill level, but had to give it a go; I was desperate. Before reflexology, foot and joint pain, stress, seasonal allergies and frequent colds were a norm for me. I just thought that was how people felt. After my initial reflexology session, I would feel serene and relaxed (some friends thought I has started indulging in...er...medicinal brownies. LOL), but then would feel flexible, energetic, and pain free for weeks. I had lost hope that I would feel that good again, then AJ worked on me. With his training, he adds the option of also working nerve endings in the ears and hands, as a supplement to the feet. He puts me in a full snoring, out cold, sleeping state almost every time. I was diagnosed with a foot condition called hammertoe and told that eventually it would need surgery. The Podiatrist had no solutions to recommend.
