They were in the middle of cooking and eating at the entrance and had a big like german Shepard dog on where the customers lay down. A dog!!! Not even on the floor but on the chairs. Went there Saturday there was nobody there except woman who answered the phone, she was nice but you walk in there's a rice cooker and whole place is kind of dark. There were green towels on the bed in room which is close to front and towel had a black mark\stain down on it. I asked to use their restroom before doing my foot massage, restroom very dirty, there's pee stains on toilet seat which was up, bar soap no dispenser and no paper towels to wipe hands. A quick and easy review: Pros: Had a decent foot * and neck massage was included not knowing that was going to be worked on. Prices were affordable $45 for an hour. Cons: Not sure if the people working on you are actually licensed because the set up doesn't show any type of frame business licenses but we figured its just a foot massage sooo lets give it a try. Difficult to communicate & understand due to language barrier. This is not a legit looking foot spa, very disorganized with random decor & what looked like personal storage by their counter that was visible to everyone. It was very cold inside. I'm hesitant to write a review, because l'm afraid my favorite little foot massage shop might get too busy :) They are tucked in the alley between 99 ranch and 85 deg C. I've had so many bad foot massage experiences, it's good to have finally found a place that's pretty consistent. Their body massage is great here too, but I purchase a foot massage 10 pack so that's generally what I stick to. My boyfriend and I have been to similar massage places before, so we know what to expect--especially for the price. We're not picky or unrealistic. Our regular spot in Milpitas was closed, so we gave this one a try since it was nearby and open late. They were able to take us in right away, which we appreciated. We asked to be in beds next to each other, but they split us up even though the place wasn't busy. We went along with it, but it was a little disappointing. As for my massage, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The woman working on me had a strong technique, but it was too rough for my comfort. I asked her to go softer multiple times--at least four. She would lighten up for a moment, but then eventually go back to applying too much pressure. The next day I was still in pain and sore. I think she might be used to clients who prefer deep tissue work, but she didn't adjust to my feedback, which really affected my experience. She was nice, but I won't be back. My boyfriend's experience was just okay. He actually prefers deep tissue and didn't feel like the pressure was strong enough, but for the price, he didn't complain too much. However, the next day he told me something that was really concerning. He thinks the masseuse may have taken a photo of him while he was laying face down. He had dozed off, so he wasn't 100% sure if he imagined it--but it stuck with him enough to mention it. That's a serious red flag. I felt like going back and demanding to see the phone, but I didn't want to create a scene. Still, it left a very uneasy feeling. When we paid, basically demanded a $25 tip each. I was confused when they were handing the cash back to my husband tryin to explain. I mean we usually tip $20 each because I know it's not an easy job and for a good massage I don't mind but I was just the whole thing was just weird. Worst massage experience my gf and I ever had. Upon, first entering, see a worker lounging with her dog one of the massage tables. Red flag, and we should've turned around but was excited because the one in Cupertino is decent. 2nd red flag? Place was empty. Proceeded to get a massage by 2 inept masseuse with no English skills. Whilst, they are working us, the dog is outside the room, apparently getting the zoomies and blowing the relaxing vibes. The masseuses had no pressure, even after after my gf asked for harder pressure. It might as well have been soft pushes by my grandmother. We had to tell them to get rid of the dogs, and the masseuses were baffled by this request. Eventually they did exile the dog, but then you could hear it whining the rest of the hour. The place smelled of stank and I think the dog was allowed full freedom from the massage chairs. I'm surprised even the foot bath was hot. After this huge letdown, it should've held true and been lukewarm or with dog piss in it. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. You can tell the fake ass reviews with the multiple stars on them. read more

The lady who was massaging me kept stopping to answer the owners question and it didn't make me feel at ease . We had a couples massage and the set up didn't make any sense, it was too tight for two tables. they kept having to move the tables every single time they needed to work around each other and when they moved it so sudden and fast , I was on edge basically my whole time there . Do NOT go to this place!!！！！ The female owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. She yells loudly inside the store, completely ruining the relaxing atmosphere for customers. It's nearly impossible to make an appointment--she never picks up the phone. Each time I had to call over 5～6 times just to get through, and when she finally answers, she cuts you off and claims she's "too busy" to take calls. She rudely refused a walk-in because I didn't make an appointment with HER directly. The hygiene here is absolutely unacceptable. Been at this place for quite a few years, I have seen it changed management and got remodeled multiple times. I want to continue to be a loyal customer.... But, and unfortunately, I have seen it going downhill and further downhill. I was especially frustrated at this last visit, on a not-very-busy evening. Sigh! It might be my fault to have picked a time when there were not many customers! There were a couple. masseuses there without customers. During the whole hour I was there, there were 3-4 people talking non-stop the whole time, their voices were so loud that it was more like arguing or debating rather than talking! i think that included the front desk lady plus 2-3 staff. They were of course not speaking gently, nor calmly, on top of that, the place's acoustics further amplified their voices. I felt like I was at an Asian wet market instead of a massage place. I was very annoyed and stressed. Don't even mention any relaxation! I have to roll up two pieces of tissue and stick those in my ears as earplugs, but I still could not stand the loud noice that attacked my brain. I don't understand why the staff can be so inconsiderate and irrespectful when there are customers. Shouldn't keeping a quiet place also a part of the service? The "rebate" went on and on for almost the whole hour. OMG! I was going crazy. OMG! To the owner of Happy Foot - for the noice level that I have experienced, I want to give this place a 0 star review. I must say, to be fair, the massage I got was not bad. (And of course my masseuse was not one of those talking). (I would give her a 3-4 stars) But I did not enjoy it this time. I've been here a handful of times now and find that it's consistently a very good massage at an affordable price. Like most Asian run massage spots, you prepay for your massage of choice and tip afterwards. The 30 minute foot massage starts with an arm rub-down while your feet soak in a bucket of warm water, and ends with a 5 minute back massage. You'll be seated in an open-ish area that still feels semi intimate. Although the main door is usually left open so you'll hear conversations from outside and patrons coming in. Body massages are in private rooms and include hot stones at no additional cost. They do use a lotion here and wipe it off using a wet cloth, but it tends to leave some residue, so be careful with what clothes you wear. Masks are currently still required and worn by staff and patrons. read more

I'll recommend Happy Foot. My sister & I went there as walk in but I called them first if they do accept walk ins. They accommodated us right away. Although the masseuses are not english speaking, it didn't become a hindrance for them to do their work very well. But, the lady in the front desk can speak english, so, no worries. Disorganized and terrible customer service-- we agreed on a time I would come in to get scheduled with a specific masseuse, and then when I arrived they said I still need to wait 30 more minutes for her to be available. Came back 30 minutes later, and still unavailable. Not the masseuse's fault, but maybe the spa just shouldn't have scheduled me with that masseuse in the first place if there was a timing conflict. Opted for a different masseuse at the spa, and fortunately got the spa to discount me for the inconvenience. Loud environment, and rude owner/receptionist. At the end, she demanded I tip 20%. That is not how tipping works. If gratuity is required here, they should build that into the price upfront instead of forcing customers to give that at the end. Highly unprofessional. This complaint is echoed in the other reviews I've read. Again, great massage itself and decent price, but the poor customer service cancels it out. Won't be coming back. read more

Probably first and last visit. I came in for a 30 minute combo foot and body massage. They did not even touch my foot let alone my legs at all. The lack of understanding me was obvious, I asked for them not to touch my hair, but they did anyway. I justified her not massaging my foot or feet as miscommunication error, but when it came to pay- $45 for the service , I left an $11 dollar tip. ( more then 20%) she huffed and aggressively walked away . Mind you the message was very very very mediocre at most but I still tipped $11 for her . It's under new management and they open till 11pm!! I am pregnant in my last trimester. My legs have been so sore and it has been so difficult for me to move around. I decided to treat myself a massage because being pregnant is really hard Lisa greeted me with a very warm welcome. Micheal helped me with the massage and he was great! He applied a good amount of pressure on my sore spots and constantly checked with me to see if I was feeling okay. I felt so much better after the massage. Came here for my first time, it was different than what I'm used to going to other big brand massage places. It's an open area and they have these large oversized comfy couch type chairs and they separate at the feet area and they greet you with a giant tub to soak your feet in. The sections are divided with a privacy curtain and they place a towel over your eyes. The work very effectively. Cover every square inch of your body. If I can be quite frank. I've gone to the Burke Williams, Hand and Stones, u done the experience. The add one and paid over $130 for a massage. But this massage. Was 60 minutes and cost me $19. It was by far the BEST freaking massage I have ever had. Thank god my moms best friend for finding this place then telling her, then referring me. Can't wait to come back ! (Ps. The front desk agent was amazing on the phone and super helpful and nice. But when we came in she literally had her eyes glued to the phone then acted like we interrupted her when asked to her service. 1) Price has been increasing over 50% within 2 years. What justified this ? Their expense is mostly utilities & rent. I bet rent not increased within two years. They always signed long term contract. Even inflation does not justified 50% increase within two years. 2) They always ask for more tips. After the price increase, they should get more cut. Why still asking for more tips after price increase ? They always asking for over 35% tips. Did you provide better or more service ? No ! Then why asking for more tips ? Over 15% tips are considered good already. Too greedy. Short term vision will resulted in less business and will end up closing soon. That's why their business is no good and can't keep same workers there. 3) Like the other reviews mentioned. Always taking long time to go in and out to kill times without massaging. On top of that, cutting short of the full time by 5-10min is common. Go somewhere else. Too many other choices with the same or lower price. read more

My partner and I went to Happy Foot in Newark today and honestly I didn't expect much not to be rude. BUT as a therapist I feel like if you witness your client tensing up while you're massaging certain areas you should give a lighter touch as the pressure you're applying May be bothering the client. Also, paying more for FULL BODY I'd expect FULL BODY. We got the 70min session where it wasn't even 5 minutes near to finishing time, my legs weren't massaged at all and so much pressure was applied on my lumbar region. The session said I believe around 30mins for back and 40mins on head + feet. Did that happen ? NO. Most of the session was my back which hurt so bad on my shoulders and so bad on my lumbar. Maybe 2 minutes on my head and was wishing for my neck to be massaged and not once did it get massaged. Once's turned over he worked on my feet, no arms no legs but MY FEET. Which is fine that's what I paid for was to get my feet done but I expected longer time and then once finished he did quick compressions on my legs. Overall experience was just not it. I can say it was not a relaxing session but a painful one. Not worth the pay. My partner is a female and her therapist literally had her sit up and tried to take her towel while the man was walking in and left the door opened, just want to mention that. Even though there was some issues with her therapist there was moments she said she did enjoy her session though but wishes for certain things as well. A disappointing session that I will not book there again especially for the price and my therapist wants to walk in an out the room like 6 times. Sir I'm inside not out the room. So basically I don't even feel like I even got at least 60mins of a session if I'm being completely honest. But hey like i said I didn't expect much from this place to begin with.. BUT I DID EXPECT BETTER. At the end we had asked him to call his boss as he stated she left and we just needed to discuss the issue with someone who could understand us in English. I don't know how to describe my experience here? We called to make an appt the day before for a couple foot massage for our anniversary and it seemed they don't really make appointments but she took my name and then hung up on me. Geez! Language was definitely there but they understood because we arrived late about 20min today (Saturday) and had my name on the list. The place was not too big but had about 8 big lounging chairs that fold down and two private rooms. I had an elder man do my massage. First, they soak your feet in real warm water. They make you take all your jewelry, watch, glasses, hat and put your cell away in a basket. The oil they use is not too greasy like other massage places and dries pretty quick. You can ask if you don't want the oil applies on your body. I thought a foot massage was mainly all foot but it was partial of your body with clothes on. I think it was only 15 min on my foot but $19.99 for 60min is a deal! They do mostly pressure points then a massage like a Swedish massage so don't expect that. They do your head first than neck and shoulders. They do the arms then the feet and legs. If they use oil, they will remove the oil with a warm towel. This is all from when you lie on your back then you flip over. The old man pulled my shirt up and unbuckled my bra strap! I was like what the heck?! He prepped my back by pulling my shirt up and held it by a towel so that oil doesn't go on the shirt and does the same with my shorts. Of course, they cover wit a towel after. All pressure points which felt good. The old man didn't have rough hands but not totally soft either but he applied the right amount of pressure. Not much communication with them which is good but they do have some conversation with the other staff. I believe they were Taiwanese. Conversation is on and off but it didn't bother me. My suggestion to all since they do pressure points, is to exhale when they press on you. This way it avoids you feeling the pressure much. Don't wear an outfit you will use during the day or ask for no oil to use. You don't really need to make an appt but then I went when they opened. Happy Feet? More Like Angry Toes! This place is the opposite of happy! My friends and I booked their most expensive massage (head, feet, and body!), excited for a relaxing evening. Here's what went wrong: Broken promises: We were told rooms were full, so I got my supposed 30-minute foot massage dragged out to 50 minutes on a lobby cot. Meanwhile, the owner LOUDLY chatted on the phone the entire time, shattering any hope of relaxation. Shhh... not really: After politely asking (through my masseuse) for the owner to quiet down, she went from yelling to whispering - not exactly the peaceful ambiance I was looking for. Inconsistent chaos: Once in a room (finally!), my massage was a joke. The masseuse just pressed on my back for 15 minutes, completely skipping the promised 40-minute full body treatment. Apparently, training and standardized procedures are not on their menu. Headache anyone? Two of us ended up with headaches after this bizarre "massage." Tip audacity: We agreed on a discounted price of $55 each beforehand ($165 total). After this awful experience, we offered a $35 tip to split amongst the masseuses. The owner, the same one who ruined the ambiance with her phone call, had the NERVE to ask for more! This entire experience was a total rip-off. Save your money and your sanity - go anywhere else! I had an amazing 60min massage with Ros (I believe that's how you spell her name). She really got all the knots out of my shoulders and upper back. I really appreciate the arm and leg stretching she did in between and towards the end asked me to turn over so she could massage my forehead and scalp. Best $60 spent, well worth it.
