My bf and I called a couple hours in advance, and they were able to fit us in on a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived, all of the workers were busy massaging other customers, so we had to wait, and ended up starting 15 minutes later. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. They have a shared space just off the lobby entrance with a lot of massage beds, but we opted for full body massages in their private rooms. They had a cute and simple couples room with comfy cushions on the face holes of the massage beds (noticeably better than most other places I've been). My partner and I agreed that both of our masseurs did a great job, the pressure not only strong but skillful, using technique to target our knots. My masseur particularly used his forearms and elbows frequently to provide an effective and thorough treatment. Felt like deep tissue, though we never really asked for this specifically as all of the workers spoke very little English so communication was limited. Our massages were really good, nonetheless. Didn't get their names, but we had two male therapists. On top of that, I enjoyed the music playing in the background during our session, unique instrumental renditions of classic songs, including Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid and Diana Ross' If We Hold On Together from The Land Before Time on the piano. These lovely tunes added a nice touch to our experience. read more

My usual massage place was too busy so I decided to try this spot for a foot massage. I laid down and my back immediately started to hurt. It was so uncomfortable and the table was hard. I asked for a pillow for my back and it still wasn't comfy. It was also very hot in there. I wasn't feeling it at all. So I got up and left. I told them my back hurts laying on that and it was too hot inside. Never coming back. Terrible place. Golden Massage across street at the Safeway plaza is waybetter. read more

A no-frills massage place that gets the job done~ I've been coming here on and off since high school and it hasn't changed much luckily, including the prices! - 60 min full body w/oil & hot stone is still $60!!! - located in the ranch 99 plaza in newark but on the Oasis side, next to feng cha. there's always parking - easy for walk-ins or you can call ahead to make an appt - paying in cash is better for them, they charge a $3-4 fee for using card - has private rooms for couples & full body massages - front area mostly for foot massage - shoutout my girl Lin for always getting me right - she only works Fri-Sunday read more

Came back here for the second time as the massage is good and again, unbeatable price. I did notice though that they are not replacing the top towels where people lay down. During my first time here, I thought they did... but I realized they do not... I saw the lady just fixed and unwrinkled the same towel my niece lied down on. Also, they have a few signs to keep quiet... but the masseuse who did not have clients when we were there actually kept on talking to each other. read more

ELLA did a PHENOMENAL job on my shoulders and upper back! My session was 30min but every movement Ella made on me was intentional and healing. I didn't know my body was that knotty and tense. Nonetheless, she was very patient, pleasant, and professional. $45 for a 30min plus a well-deserved tip. I am definitely bringing my mom and grandma next time. Thank you Foot Relief :) read more

Foot Relief - Massage Near Me - Newark, California

I read the reviews before going to Foot Relief, but I still went because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The reviews are true. It was a quiet day and the staff were laying on the beds or slumped over on a chair. The receptionist chose a male masseuse for my foot massage and he reeked of smoke. He gave about 50% effort for his massage and was also coughing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I gave a regular tip and he had the nerve to ask for more. I won't be going back. read more

Online booking done at $50,go to store it is$60 as per owner. Phones ringing, loud talking, people going in and out, tips required otherwise you can't get out, more like a jail, such a waste of time and money, never go to this place you will regret, guaranteed. read more

I was looking for another foot massage place since I am no longer happy with the usual place. On Yelp I found this one in Newark. I got an hour of foot massage today. it was good - I can feel I got warm when my circulation got moving better. The place has a big open area with many massage beds, not a fancy place, but practical. There is not much privacy, and so I opt out of the back rub and just have the massage on the feet, hands and a little on the neck and shoulders. The price is also better than some other places, so for the lower price, I made it up by tipping a little more. read more

We were regular customers since years but may not be now. The prices have increased dramatically. Which is inflation etc but today they forced us to pay 10$ tip which ruined our experience. In total 100$ for 2 people massage, decide for yourself. read more

Foot Relief - Love this place - Massage Near Me - Newark, California

100% DO NOT let this woman "Lisa" give you a massage. She was absolutely rude, loud, and extremely unpleasant. 1) I received a full body massage - so I was in my own room. 2) I was 1 of 5 others in the establishment and she apparently needed to leave soon so she gave attitude that she needed to massage me. 3) the massage felt soo rushed, that with lathered oil/lotion she was rubbing so fast it felt like a rug burn I needed to tell her several times to slow down. It was the worst. 4) She had an entire conversation with another masseuse from another room, and kept deep sighing every time she changed to another body part. At this point I'm furious. I'm ready to leave and she demands a tip so she can go home -- I arrived with a partner who had the cash, and initially I didn't want to give her tip because of how horrible the entire experience was. I ended up giving her a $10 because we had nothing lower. Absolutely unsatisfied and would never come back. read more

I have not been to many of these foot massage places so my take is from a general "did I enjoy myself and was this place clean and comfortable" viewpoint. Yes, I did, and yes, it was. Was this "Santana Row fancy"? No. Was it cheap and local and now I feel great? Yes. A friend recommended this place for a great foot massage. For $40, I got an hour long massage. However, while your feet soak, you get a wonderful head, neck, shoulder, arm massage. After they do your feet, you get a back massage. There is a large room with multiple beds if you've selected a foot massage- beds are well-spaced, it's clean, newly remodeled. There are private rooms if you choose a more traditional full body massage. There's a variety of options to choose from. Plenty of staff on hand so walking in wasn't a problem. They are quiet and respectful while working so other clients aren't distracted. They accept credit cards. read more

Their service and quality over the time has substantially gone way down. They are talking to each other while giving you a massage . The tip is high and they stand under the nose for the higher tip. Overall this place has tanked over the past few years. read more

My family has been a regular here for some time now because it's $45 for a 60 min full body massage with hot stones. I decided to try it myself today and my female masseuse (sunny or sandy, it was hard to hear) had the perfect amount of pressure. She is tiny but mighty. I like my massages fairly strong and she did great to put strong pressure on my shoulder blades/ upper back, neck and lower back. The hot stones were a great added feature and feel really good. The private rooms are a good temperature, I wasn't hot or cold. They were playing soft music in the store that you could hear. These are just wall divided cubby rooms that are open above so you can hear the guests next door. I didn't mind that at all. I would say the customers who come here come for the fair price and good service rather than fancy amenities and ambience. I called a few hours ahead of time to make an appointment at 5:30pm on a Monday. I'm glad I did because they were booked until 7:30 with a few walk ins during my time there. I'll be coming back again! read more

I had my many reservations in initially trying this place only because and I was a member of Massage Envy, but because my hubby and I were in the area - we said why not. To echo the other Yelpers who have been here befor, the pricing is unbeatable. Depending on your service, whether it be a foot massage or full body massage (plus tip), expect to pay somewhere between $20-$40 dollars. This is very reasonable if your looking for a quick hour of relaxation. This establishment if not your bougie massage spot. It's super casual, where you even leave your clothes on (except shoes) for your full body massage. If you're comfortable you can strip down to your undergarments, but the massage beds are located in a big shared room with other people getting massages, it isn't a private room- so again, it's up to you... Overall the massages are great. Don't judge your massage therapist by their size. These "little ladies" are strong and can provide a deep tissue/muscle massage that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The only thing I wish they upgrade or add are the cushions for their massage chair/beds. They are too stiff, where I like the gel-like cushions because of my bad back. Otherwise, this place is safe and provides decent massages at a decent price. Happy Relaxing! read more

Went here for a quick massage bc my legs were hurting. Massage was decent for a place like this but when it was time to pay I literally only had $9 in cash for tip & paid the massage service with my card. For a $40 massage $9 tip is already over a 20% tip. She counted the tip and told me I was short $1. I told her well that's all the cash I had and she showed me a sign that said tip considered to give is $10. I told her this is all I have and she just stared at me. so I had to charge my card again and she charged $10 plus a $1 so $11 total. I don't know why $11 but I don't think she really understood what I was saying but whatever. I probably won't go back here just because of how greedy for tips they are. I really don't mind tipping a good amount for the service but not if this is how they act. read more

Minimum $10 tip. You can pay by card but tips are CASH ONLY. (Unfortunate because I never carry cash and they don't have an ATM near by but there's banks). They will chase you down for their tip and have no problem asking for more. However, their massages are very reasonably priced so they deserve it!! Limited English but they're always nice and ready to take walk-ins. read more

Look for Tina , she's the real deal for deep tissue massage. Not for sensitive muscle cause she is powerful.

Great pricing and the front desk has always been able to help me when I do a last minute walk in with little to no wait time... driving by on a whim. The massage area is packed in as much as they can be and the staff I have experienced are great at finding the trouble spots and working away the soreness. I prefer deep tissue and hard massage and have never been let down at this location. I want to be sore for 2 - 3 days after my massage because I know you got into tissues and muscle crannies I cannot reach myself! Do not be afraid to say ease up or harder... it is your own fault if you leave dissatisfied with your massage. My only complaint is the front desk loudly watching videos/tv/music on their phone... they should always be using head phones, ALWAYS. Also, whispering to those that come in and when directing staff on who's up next etc. It would be best if they put up a thick wall to section off the front all together and have a thick door you have to walk through to get to the massage area... then this place would be phenomenal, quiet, and fully relaxing. read more

So noisy... it wasn't a spa like environment .. the masseuse kept talking to each other.. we were in rooms and they still basically yelled at each other. The massage was rushed and they took there time getting the stones and towels, which basically water out time ... I hoped so much this would be our go to place.. apparently not! read more

This place is the worst ! My son and me came in for a 30 minute massage we came in a 530pm he began the massage at 5:37 pm I timed it on my phone ! He only did the feet ? No head or arms ?! He finished at 550pm then he left until 556pm did some tapping and was done ? I told him this was not a 30 minute massage he said it counts from when he goes to get the bucket of water ? I went to pay and he asked if I wanted the tip on my card ? I said No the guy who did my half baked massage was hanging around like a vulture I gave them $12 tip $6.00 each he grabs the money and throws it down and says it's a $10.00 min tip per person? I promptly told him not in Calif a tip is a courtesy for a good job and you did not even do 30 min but he was sure ready for the money ? Then he said you can never get a massage here again?! Really that is not a problem and since they had No customers I am sure they have a lot of unsatisfied customers! I will never come back to this place Plus it had a foot smell read more

This is where I usually go for a foot massage. The place is well kept. Since I am a husky man, they usually have a male work on me and they are very firm with their massage. They know where my pains are and work them out. Yes, they work out my pains which means to work out a pain it is going to hurt. And boy does it hurt. I do feel better after, it is just that during the massage I am clinching hoping like in the movies they give me something to bite on. One time I had a small female work on me and after they work on my feet I feel her working up my legs and she tells me to turn over. Then she works further on my back and then I feel her foot on my thigh and wondering what is she doing. She then is standing on my back and I hear her and other people giggling. She then says "Sir, you ok?" I am fine, she is this tiny thing. So they find your pains and work it out. Star breakdown: Cost: 4 stars: $25 for a foot massage that consists of head then arms and shoulders. Then they work a lot on the feet and legs. After the legs they flip you over and work on the back. Service: 4 stars: I don't usually wait very long to get a massage. I just wish it were a little more quiet. The workers can talk rather loud at times. Pro tip: bring cash and small bills for tip. read more

The last time I went here was a strange experience. The man who's the owner of the place and usually has a very loud voice was laying on one of the massage chairs talking on his cell phone. Maybe he was on break but the rest of the 3 people getting a massage were there to relax. I was so annoyed but I politely asked the masseuse to let him know it was too loud. He would quiet down and then again start talking loudly. It was obvious to other staff as well also because they kept looking back at him trying to get his attention by waving their hand in the air. But he was laying down and couldn't see them. After my massage I went to pay and I had $2 cash so I paid that to her as a tip because usually I'd pay $5 but maybe she was new and didn't do as well as I expected and it wasn't relaxing when the temperature is cold inside a massage parlor. In any case I was about to pay $25 with my card and quickly the man who was lying on the couch got up and ran to the counter and DEMANDED that I pay $5 tip. He yelled, so I asked the woman to give me my $2 cash back and told him I would have to put the $5 tip on my card. I was sooo pissed. I've never been treated this way any where! I wish to give this place zero stars for their rude behavior. read more

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!. I would come here very often but after today I will no longer return. I asked for a 20 min massage because I had somewhere to go I couldn't do 30 min and I was told it was still 30$ . I said that's okay . So I got the massage and when it came time to pay I said can I add 5$ tip and I was told the minimum tipping was 10$ . I said no tipping in not required and I would like to tip 5$ the lady ignored me and proceeded to charge my card 41$ . I find that very disrespectful!!! That is not okay ! It's not about the money it how she went about it ! I felt very uncomfortable. read more

So it has been 6 years since I last visited this place. When I compared it to the places I go to back home, this place would not past my standard at all. First it way too bright inside. Second they do not use wrap around towel so you can't remove your T-shirt and slip down the bra. I like my massages to have as much skin on skin contact as possible and it's hard when they are massaging over cloths. They however were nice enough to let me remove my T-shirt but I had to to pay close attention to the towel so it doesn't accidentally exposes my girls. The only thing that hasn't changed is the price which I'll give them kudos for. read more

I'm really torn between a 2 and a 3, i guess we call that a 2.5 XD. i'll leave it at 2 stars because it clearly isn't as great as other places but at $20, i was not disappointed and i would definitely go back. no private rooms, everyone is getting massages in chairs right next to each other, in fact very close together. i was laying in my chair and the masseuse working at the chair next to me was all butt-in-my-face. everyone in the waiting area can watch you, some might feel weird about that. for the first half of my massage everything noise-wise was fine and then once my masseuse sat down to work on my feet, he starting chopping it up hardcore with the masseuse next to him. and i thought maybe they were just making quick comments to them but after awhile i realized they were really just gonna sit there and converse while massaging us. not very serene. i mean it wasn't SUPER distracting since i couldn't understand it but man, if they were speaking english i'm pretty sure i woulda been listening to their conversation instead of relaxing which would not be cool. the massages themselves were.,. interesting. some good ol' kneading, which i like, mixed with some slapping and hitting and karate chopping and spinning my legs in circles and stretching me out. haha, maybe i exaggerate, but it was entertaining. anyways, funny experience but even though this all sounds negative i really would go back and enjoy another $20 massage. if you're really in need of an intensely relaxing (is that an oxymoron?) experience then go somewhere else but if you're not picky about the surroundings then come on down, it's not half bad read more
