One thing that I appreciated was that the person at the front desk called me ahead of my appointment and asked what kind of pressure I liked as it was my first time visiting. She said she wanted to ensure that I was matched with a staff member who would best fit my preferences to ensure I had a good experience. I don't think I've had that done before the actual appointment at any other place so that was thoughtful. They even offered to take me in earlier if I was available. Once I walked in, I could tell it would be relaxing as the environment was very quiet and peaceful. As soon as I was out in a room and ready for the massage, the staff made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any areas I wanted them to focus on, to which I answered my lower back. Every single one has a different focus and often Mia or someone else can tell you what you need. Also, they're almost medical with it. They talk to each other as they massage and show each other points on your body and decide a treatment plan together. They frequently work on things you may not have been complaining about but that resolve an issue somewhere else. They also somehow magically know where you are sore - experience and intuition you simply cannot teach. I got cupping for 10 weeks or so but we all decided that my body is in a better place and can do with just massage for a while. You'd think that the massage would end up tapping out on benefit, but it absolutely doesn't. My body is shedding so much old stress that every time, I notice a new tangible benefit.
