This review is a little late but I still wanted to leave a review. I visited Shanti healing a few weeks ago and it was everything she said it would be except she said it would not be the relaxing type of massage to me it felt really good. I came in and my body was beat up, I mean beat up from the stressors from work, day to day stressors and past trauma. I was told I would need multiple sessions because it was a lot of tension in my body. My back and hips were worked, I was definitely sore the next few days but it was a good sore. I will absolutely make sure I include Shanti healing a part of my healing regimen.

I've been here about four times and find the spa to be a peaceful and relaxing getaway. My favorite parts of the spa are the dry saunas: both the jjimjilbang and the dry sauna in the women-only area. The jade and stone rooms have a nice scent of cedarwood, and when I have visited during the weekday, they're usually completely empty. I like to cool off in the rest area, where they provide mats and pillows, where I lie down and read for a bit before going back into one of the heated rooms. The women's spa has the typical amenities: dry sauna, wet sauna, cold pool and hot tub. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy (loud conversations) when there are women who don't know the proper etiquette, but once they get called back for their body scrub service, it gets quiet and peaceful again. :) When I come in the mid-morning on a weekday, at most there are a few other people, but other times I've had the entire space to myself (happened today). I especially enjoy the cold pool after using either of the saunas or the hot tub. If you purchase spa admission in bulk, it adds up to $35 a session ($350 for 10 "day passes"), which is well worth it, in my opinion. Day admissions includes the provision of a spa uniform (a robe for women), a small towel and a large towel, use of the lockers and access to all amenities (jjimjilbang, women-only saunas + pools). They provide spa shoes for free (upon request). The shampoo/conditioner/soap provided in the showers is decent! I like using the stool + basin to take a seated shower. Overall, the locker room and spa area are kept pretty clean. In the women's locker room they just got a new water cooler. I usually spend about three hours here. General advice: Come prepared to pay in cash unless you are willing to pay a credit card surcharge. Drawbacks: I think there could be improvements to some of the facilities, but nothing is a "dealbreaker" to me. Both of the women's pools could use some interior resurfacing, the himalayan sea salt room (jjimjilbang) doesn't seem to get as hot as it should in order for there to be a therapeutic benefit, the provided towels could be replaced (they're getting a bit raggedy), some of the hair dryers in the locker room need replacing. I've gotten the spa package of a body scrub, massage, mini-facial and hair wash but to be honest, it wasn't my cup of tea (during the body scrub it felt like they exfoliated parts of my body I didn't even know existed!). I'm planning to try a facial one day and hear they are great. I definitely recommend coming here as a way to decompress and treat yourself to some relaxation. :)

I usually get the #5, and sitting in the sauna and hot tub afterward is sooo relaxing. But the #1 is definitely worth it too! This is the kind of place where you can actually spend some time, unwind, and leave feeling refreshed from head to toe. One of my favorite little gems is that I also come here just to get my hair washed. Sometimes I don't want to go through the whole salon experience and sit bent back over a shampoo bowl -- I just want my scalp and hair thoroughly washed and to RELAX. I've been here enough times that it's genuinely become one of my go-to self-care spots.

My first time here! Super great experience!…read more I booked a 3 minute Whole Body Cryo session online with ClassPass which was super easy to do! The booking window is 30 minutes which is nice so that your not rushing. When I arrived, they had some screens to check in on. I didn't know how to use them, but the young man at the desk was super nice and friendly and helpful. For the whole body cryo, you basically go into something that looks like a restaurant kitchen freezer (the freezers that you walk inside). There's a big window on the side of the freezer, so if something happens the workers and everyone in the shop can see. I like this because it makes it super safe. But it's also good to know so you can plan your outfit accordingly haha! Before you go into the Freezer, you strip in the lobby and put all your stuff in a cubby. No jewelers or electronics can go inside. The cryo works best with more skin exposed, but you can dress to the level of your comfort. I wore shorts and a top. They provide mittens, a beanie, and ear covers for you, as well as socks and fuzzy slippers to wear in the freezer. You need to wear a mask in the freezer because it actually helps your breathing. The freezer has some cool stereo system so be sure to put your favorite song on using the computer before you go in! It helps a lot haha! The freezer time can be adjusted anywhere from 1:30 - 3 minutes is recommended. I did 2:45 because it was my first time. Before you go inside, they measure your body temp, and again after you get out. My body temperature dropped 40 degrees while in the freezer. The staff person was great gave me time measures while I was in the freezer - super friendly and positive person. There is plenty of parking outside the shop. And they have super comfy couches and chairs to sit in while your there. I had a great experience overall and I will definitely be back again!

The staff is friendly very helpful. I look forward every weekend to coming in and doing my leg…read moretherapy along with the C4recovery.

She was very welcoming. Since it was our first time floating, we had to watch a short video on their iPad about what to expect while we float. The lady then showed us the rooms where we would be in and the float pods. Each room had its own showers and it was very clean! They also had shampoo, conditioners, body wash, ear plugs, makeup wipes and petroleum jelly to cover any cuts. While you're floating, you can choose to have the lights on or off to be in complete darkness. In the first and last 5 minutes of your float there will be calm music playing. They also provide a neck float if you prefer to have your neck up - which I also found more comfortable. Also, I would recommend using the ear plugs if you don't like feeling the water in your ears if you decide not to use the float. Also! I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner because if you're like me with long, thick hair... you would come out with real sticky, salty and frizzy hair. Lol. And bring a comb/brush too! All in all, I would definitely come here to float again. The owners are really friendly and the place is super clean and the experience is just amazing! Amazing service and an introverts dream…read more I've had about 15 massages here. Only 1 massage therapist spoke more than 2 words to me. All of them simply do a light rub down and then immediately pin point my troubleshoots and get to work fixing them. I've had knots in my upper back, a pinched nerve in my glute, and a variety of aliments. They are able to figure out exactly the problem just by touch. It's amazing! And I don't have to deal with small talk when I'm there to try to get fixed up and am in a bad mood. But I always leave in a great mood! I also love how they have the tip suggestions posted based on time which makes it very easy to calculate especially since they are great at giving lots of good deals so it can be confusing calculating. One of my favorite things is that they accommodate last minute appointments. I find it very hard to schedule anything in advance. I consider this place an important need for my health, and am happy to be able to afford to come here and tip well without braking the bank. They have great prices and give deals if you purchase a package. Some parts are not the most fancy....but I'd much rather have massages that I can afford on a regular basis than go somewhere more pristine and only be able to go 1-2 times a year. Also the front desk woman has always been very professional and kind, even when I'm running late.

TRIGGER WARNING: SA…read more My boyfriend specifically requested a female massage therapist for me when booking due to prior trauma. I was surprised when I was assigned a male therapist while my boyfriend was assigned a female therapist. I did not realize this until after they started massaging us. During the massage, the therapist began massaging and touching my glute area without my consent, which made me extremely uncomfortable. It was difficult for me to speak up in the moment, but I eventually worked up the courage to ask whether we could switch therapists. When I raised my concerns, I did not feel that they were taken seriously. They laughed and said "ok" which made me feel dismissed. I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, and I also did not receive any apology for the distress the experience caused me. What was particularly confusing to me was that my boyfriend did not receive any glute massage during his session, so our experiences differed despite being there together. This experience was deeply upsetting for me and brought back memories of prior trauma. While I cannot speak to anyone else's intentions, I can speak to the impact the experience had on me. What should've been a celebration for a special occasion left me feeling distressed, violated, and shaken by what happened. This review reflects my honest recollection of the experience and the impact it had on me, and I stand by it. I am sharing it because customer comfort, boundaries, and therapist preferences matter. I hope future customers who make similar requests have those requests respected and that concerns raised during a session are met with compassion and understanding instead of what I experienced. Note: this was from well over a year ago and I have edited the review to clarify my experience and feelings.
