I absolutely enjoyed my deep tissue massage! The price was $100 for 90mins and it was well worth it. I felt the tension in my shoulders melt away. It was the perfect amount of pressure throughout the massage. Penny has magic hands and I'll definitely be back! read more

I really wanted to love this place. It's close to home and $100 for a 90 minute massage is an amazing price, but you get what you pay for. First of all let me just say that the ladies are so nice, but they were texting on their phones during both my husband's and my massages and we were in separate rooms with different therapists. They obviously don't have rules about this. They also would leave the door open when they would go and get the wet towels to wipe you down. The later part of both our massages the doors were left ajar. I was in the first room by the front, so this to me felt like not only a privacy issue but being female, a security one too. My therapist was going in hard. She was very strong. I usually like to be petted like a cat. She would laugh when I asked her to go lighter. I asked multiple times. Needless to say I was sore for the remainder of the day and into the following two days. If you like it firm and hard, this place is for you. read more

Good massage Ask if I wanted soft medium hard I said I was hard I mean it was a fantastic massage Very professional, clean , honest Also if your gonna get a massage plan to tip 15-$20 for 1hr massage, yes it sucks to be asked, be this is your warning lol if your spending for a massage and can't tip well probably don't get one , you can't afford it lol Over all great place will recommend read more

Great experience. My whole back was aching and been complaining about it for a few weeks now. So I told my wife I needed a massage. She finally gave in booked me an appointment. I told the masseuse where it hurts and she delivered, to top it off with the hot stones. I would recommend people here, and I would come back when my back starts hurting again. read more

I've been in Physical Therapy for 16 weeks because my quad muscles are froze up. 25 years ago a drunk driver hit me head on and I suffered many fracture, including a broken hip. I've been trying not to put to much strain on my left leg. I traveled north 3 hours from my home for a little vacation. Found this spa by chance and went in. I was greeted by staff and taken back right away. CiCi gave me a ninety minute massage and even included electronic stimulation treatment! I felt a little relief. I asked if I could come back next day for another treatment. They were so thoughtful. I went back on Sunday for another treatment and 3 of the masseuses weren't busy so they all worked on my legs and back! Kinda painful but, I could walk out better than I have in the last year...YEAH! So Grateful for CiCi, Laura, Tina and YoYo I will be back! Highly recommend these ladies of "A Dream SPA" in Union City, California Call them for appointment today! I've had several massages at different places and this by far is one of the best! We've come here a few times (couples massage, individual) and I suffer from chronic migraines so I decided to get a massage vs. going to the ER. Best decision I made. I let them know what was hurting and what I was feeling and I had Tina today. She was amazing and I left feeling so good, a lot of pressure and tension was relieved, I could almost cry! Their prices are great so I automatically tip more. I love the fact that they have multiple add ons available and the ease of getting same day appointments. Will be booking regular massages. read more

For the weekend warriors and exercise fiends who are of a certain age, you know that recovery time after a workout gets slower and slower with age. A good massage can help speed up the recovery process. Mary's deep tissue massage is perfect for the occasion. I prefer strong massages that can dig into the muscles and break up the lactic acid buildup, and Mary is plenty strong. She also has a good understanding of the pressure points and how to use them to release tension. I am sure she can do relaxing massages too. $100 for 90 minutes of deep tissue massage is an excellent price. read more

Hidden gem in union city! The staff here are friendly and efficient, and one of the better massages I've had in a long time. I only had time for a 30 minute massage, but within that short time my masseuse was able to work out most of the knots in my shoulders and back, no easy feat for a girl with horrible posture and a desk job. They were able to fit me in for a same day appointment. Definitely will be returning soon for a longer appointment. read more

Came for a hot stone massage and the massage therapist at one point used a stone that was so piping hot on my neck that I jumped up. Her hands must be made of steel. I was also surprised she started to massage my face with oily hands - gross. I asked her to stop. They should really ask people before touching their faces. I thought her massage was okay but not as good as the ones I've had at Royal Thai and other places. What really turned me off from ever coming back was that despite the massage not being that great, she told me I should tip 20%. read more

I've been coming here for about 4 years once a month. It's CLEAN, and a great deal! I just am sure that I communicate what areas I need most. Mary the owner works so hard and I'm very glad to support this place! Area can be slightly sketchy sometimes so I usually go during the day when I can. read more

Me and my husband went here for his birthday also we had just moved to the area so we were looking for a massage place so we could become regular customers. Once there the lady offered us a discount which was nice. Our massage was great but the service after and professionalism was completely horrible the owner was upset with me because she felt like I didn't leave a big enough tip. She started arguing with me saying that I should leave her $20 bucks instead of $10 bucks. I looked at her and said my tip is optional not mandatory. She huff and puff, then told me to leave. These people have no sense of good customer service and they lost money over it. Warning!!!!! read more

I used to love this place. I understand they can be short staffed and the massage therapist also has to stop and answer the phone or their front door. It didn't used to bother me, until now. The therapist left to attend to the door right after I had turned over for the 2nd half of the massage therapist. When she came back, she worked on my face. She touched my chin, my ears like they normally would. I didn't think anything of it. Minutes after leaving, my chin and behind my right ear were red and throbbing. They felt raw. A few days later, my ear is still raw behind my earlobe. This was where she massaged immediately after returning to the room. I don't know what she touched but she didn't wash her hands between the front of the office and return to my massage. It could have been anything but it feels like someone took sandpaper to the back of my earlobe. I'm angry. It could have been something as small as a grain of salt, sand or any other irritant (chemical or otherwise). They handle money, pens, their phones, the doors, all kinds of contaminated items when they leave the room and return without washing their hands. I am angry about this, unfortunately, the lady who gave me the massage, the same one acting as the receptionist did not speak English fluently and I don't know how helpful it would be to comeback days later and try to explain to her why I'm angry. Anyway, the standard of care is not there and it hurts your clients. read more

I received a deep tissue massage from Tina, and it was amazing. Very healing experience.

Clean quiet and very professional!! I can't wait to book again with Coco. AMAZING!!

I'm really Careful about picking Massage Places . I have several reasons why .I once was at a Massage place getting a Massage when it got Raided by ICE and the Police lol . They were doing a Compliance Check - Checking License's, Certifications , Permits and Citzenship . Talk about a Surprise !!! Image laying face down Naked on a Massage Table getting a nice and relaxing Massage and all of a Sudden having a Policeman bursting through the room door yelling Police Compliance Check and telling you to get dressed and leave in the middle of your paid massage. Not too relaxing lol. Another reason is I watch CNBC and I've seen those Massage Parlor Prostitution stings on TV . Who wants to get caught up in that kind of Drama especially when you just want a relaxing massage . So I'm very Careful when I go get a Massage . Ill check Yelp for reviews . Yelp Reviews are pretty spot on when it comes to Massage places. When I get to the Massage Place I look to see they have a Business license posted . I was in need of a Massage as I was a little Stressed out from the Events of the Week So I looked on my Yelp Mobile app and up popped the Dream Spa . It had mixed reviews but it looked legit. So I put my Ankle Bracelet on and jumped into my Whip White Rabbit and rolled to Union City and the Dream Spa . Dream Spa is located in a Large Strip Mall . So there's plenty of parking . So I stashed my Whip there. I rolled in to Dream Spa and looked at the wall and there were Permits and Certification Certificates posted on the wall. Then a Masseuse came out of a Private Room and told me there would be a little wait as she was with a client . I was fine with that. I told her I wanted a half hour massage . So she collected my $35 dollars and showed me to a Private Room . The Massage Room was quite nice . It was Clean , Dark and Aroma Therapy Candles Burning . I got ready and was Chilling on the Massage Table when my Masseuse arrived , She started playing some easy listening music. I then laid out on the Massage Table and asked how much pressure I liked and I said I like a firm touch . My Masseuse got the Pressure right on the first try. . She had a very nice touch and technique . I got so relaxed , I actually fell a sleep . The Half Hour flew bye . My Masseuse woke me up at the end of the Massage LOL. I tipped her $10 and rolled out . Overall a good experience . Being a Baller On A Budget - I like to Pamper Myself - Because I'm Gone With The Wind Fabulous and Whos Going To Check Me Boo !!! LOL! read more

This place is not for the faint of heart. It us not for wimps who cries and make animal sounds before they eat animal crackers... This is for people who knows what a massage feels like... You know who you are.. love a deep tissue massage.... I love it long and hard... I have yet to fin a place where they will really get deep down that muscle and get that tension and knots out... Then Dream Spa happened. Oh my... I called for an appointment and willing to try a $40 deep tissue massage. I've been to places where they touch you and pat your back and instead of relaxing, i end up giving directions... Ugh... Not here.... As i lay there with just my underwear on , the dim lights and the soothing music and the hands of Deep tissue Gods, I can't stop thinking how would I describe this to other yelpers... The feeling of beautiful pain... The stress coming out of my soul as she apply the pressure of love as she kneads me like a dough.... Then it happened.. She climbed up and stepped on my back like a ninja.... I could go on and on but you have to go there and feel it yourself. I gave $20 tip for a $40 massage. Yes. It was that good. read more

Time for a relaxing day with my bff. We used to go one of those reflexology places but a cousin recommended a good Thai massage. So I looked up a couple of places and settled on this one, made a couple of 90-min "back walking" massage. We knew what we were getting into. We like that good kind of pain and the deep tissue massage and we both needed since it's been a while since we got together and were both a bit stressed. The lady (Mary) was so sweet when we checked in asking if we've ever had the walking on back experience before which I did, not so sure about my friend. They really only walk on your back for about 10-15 minutes then move on to the deep tissue. They will constantly ask you if you're ok with the pressure and I was for the most part except for some areas and they will gladly adjust. At the end, Mary was still showing concern, almost apologetic in telling us that we will be sore the next day because of the deep tissue. And didn't I say we like that kind of pain? The kind that hurts but feels soooo good? Happy to report that not only were we not sore, it took care of the pre-existing issues that we had. My friend reported that her hips and lower back felt better and so did mine. Good experience and we'll be back to try their other services. Has anyone tried the body scrub?!?! read more

Mary, Excellent masseuse she's worth more and she charge a small amount for her quality of unique style massaging and I'm glad I've been there I can't wait to go back every two weeks Also she's good for scheduling and for putting me right in to get this great massage she's the best in the Bay Area I don't think there could be any better !!! Wonderful and reasonable .I have recommended you to several of my friends as well as family.. Love Dream Spa!!!

I liked this place but had an issue. They were able to get me in the same day before they closed. I liked how nice they were and the massage. Next time I'll ask for more pressure if I ever go back but didn't like the lighting. Normally places r a bit dark in the room and it was like the lights were barely dimmed. Also I told the lady to charge a tip of $20 to give each massager $10 and she charged me $40. It's like they charge the card what they want not what the customer said. And the reason I said $10 each was because me and another person went for a massage at the same time. read more

Ok so to start off positive, best massage ever! My mother in law pre paid for an hour and a half massage as a Mother's Day gift. I was disappointed she wouldn't be joining me but I was excited to get a massage since I loooovvee massages. My husband went to the movies with his friends but before we parted we took an edible gummy. Like ten milligrams. I took one shot of a Tito's bottle I had in the trunk so needless to say, I was relaxed. The lights could have been darker, but I kept my eyes closed the entire time in order to have the experience I wanted. Mary came in an asked me if there was any spots that needed more attention. I told her neck & shoulders & to be just a bit more gentle on my legs since there kinda sensitive. Mary not only made me feel incredible from my head to my toes but I felt like I was in the clouds the whole time. I was even envisioning stars like in space. Did the edible & quick shot help? Probably. I have done that & never felt as amazing as this, just ever! This woman really knows the human body and how to give a top massage. I told my hubby if she was in the massage Olympics, she would take home to gold! I was in heaven! Only thing I didn't like was that they and all other places walk you up to the front and wait for a tip. I work as a bartender in the area so I rely on tips, yet I allow the customer do do so at their own free will without feeling forced. Although she most definitely deserved a nice tip for her excellent service & got one! Lovey experience, clean, to the point, professional yet personal. My father in law just got one as a gift as well! I hope all of the masseuse are as excellent as Mary! Ty so much I will be back and have been recommending this place! Props to Mom for the great gift :) read more

I had try couple of places before I got Dream Spa. They're much better then my previous places. My therapist is Lily . She was so great and professional. The best massage in union city at this price point. The place is in a strip mall behind a KFC. It is a family operation maintained by three sisters. All three of them are great masseuses, CMT labelled, understand English well enough to operate and provide a great service. I find myself tipping north of 40% every time I visit. The massage is that good! The room decor and lighting could use some improvement but the lobby and rest rooms are well maintained. You might notice a conversation between the staff in Chinese once you are in a session. I have learnt to ignore that, given their limited staff and their troubles with juggling multiple clients walking in at once without appointments. The massage makes it worthwhile and they do apologize whenever they break the silence on occasion. Happy customer for almost one year now. read more

Dream Spa is a wonderland for anyone looking for a high quality professional Asian massage. I don't treat myself often , but when I do, I always drive to Union City to get my massage from Mary. I can't say enough good things about this woman. She is top notch #1 with her craft. If you appreciate an excellent rub down from head to your toes this is it. She's very strong but if you tell her to go soft, she will you just have to communicate. I want to try the other ladies if I treat my family here since I want them to enjoy the experience. The other ladies are very pleasant & polite as well. I recommend the hour and a half if you have the time. I understand tipping is optional, but remember these women are working extra hard caring for your body. That is really hard work. Honestly I couldn't do this all day long! Tipping is a kind way to show gratitude for what they do for you. I've had several mediocre , inconsistent experiences at other places. It does not compare to this sweet gem :) Thank you Mary once again for curing my neck and calf pain along with everywhere else. Every time gets better & better. I'm so relaxed and truly grateful for your kindness & effort :) read more

After calling Calla Spa in Union City and getting a sad reception on the phone I decided to call A Dream Spa after reading all the great reviews. When I called as was able to score a appointment immediately (please note is was 11 am mid morning). Lisa answered the phone and was the one whom also gave me the hour and half massage. I read the reviews were she is also the receptionist and answers phones in the middle of your massage, I was lucky she only had one call come in during mine. As for Lisa as a masseuse if found her to be amazing! She asked what hurt and what areas to stay away from...nice thing she listened. I felt so amazing after my massage, the pressure was perfect but she would check periodically to be sure. I'm a kind of person that I like to sleep durning my massage and I was so glad that I was able to do so. Please note when you use a cc there is a two dollar fee. Was a little miffed but after my message I didn't care. Price was reasonable I opted for the 1 1/2 because it was so reasonable $65.00. Not including tip....I gave Lisa a nice tip she worked hard and let me sleep. This was my first experience with them and hope to find my next one just as pleasurable. read more

Yesterday, I was in the area after spending several nights in a hotel while I helped a sick friend who is currently in a skilled nursing facility. I had a terrible headache, as well as neck & low back pain so I thought I would treat myself to a deep tissue massage. I had limited time so I needed a walk-in appointment. I went to a different place first who said they could take me yet after I paid $60 cash for a 1 hour massage, the person said they did NOT have any therapist available for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I really didn't have the extra time to wait so I asked for my $ back & came back to Yelp to find another nearby Asian-style massage place to call & confirm immediate availability. Thankfully, I found Dream Spa and had a 1 hour deep tissue massage with Eva! Eva only asked me once about the pressure; otherwise, she just went to work & relied on my to speak up if I needed in adjustments to pressure (which I actually greatly appreciated since other massage therapists sometimes ask too frequently about the pressure thus breaking up the flow of the massage). The 1 hr deep tissue massage was $70 and was totally worth the investment due to convenience, cleanliness of establishment, & quality of massage! The next time I am in the area, I will definitely be back! Maybe I will try the Thai-style next! read more

I wish I could say Dream Spa was a dream. It was far from it. Let's start with the pro: They were able to accommodate my friend and I as walk-ins. Cons: This place was alarmingly unsanitary. I was ushered into a room that was not cleaned after the previous guest. I requested to move rooms, but instead they placed a towel down on top of the used sheets. Gross. The massage itself was a subpar experience. I will not be returning. read more

Please READ. I don't like leaving bad reviews in general but THIS IS A MUST. And also, this is my first time leaving a review since the first time I created a Yelp account. (1st review ever.. I am so busy and I don't have time BUT with this experience. I will do it) I'm in dire need of a massage.. I called Thai massage but man! (same location as DREAM SPA, maybe about 3mins walk or less) They couldn't take me in! (too busy!) So I looked around and stumbled upon "DREAM SPA". I read the reviews and I'm like, "Let me try this place!" since I am that type of a person that is so easy to please. Mind you, I am not picky/choosy/needy.. But man! Seriously tho.. I called Dream Spa and scheduled an appointment since I don't have any choice. I got in and before my massage, I had to pay right away. The lady was a little upset at me.. (Like duh, this is my first time, I don't know how this place operates!) They don't give you clear instructions.. I was a little annoyed how you have to tip right away. (I don't have cash with me) I could tell the lady was not happy with my 16-17% tip! The massage was a MESS. I was in SO MUCH PAIN. I couldn't believe it myself. I have a high pain tolerance and I would normally get massages so at least I have an idea of what a massage is.. The massage was so below average, the lady was doing repetitive movements and would sometimes slow down (I thought she was falling asleep) In short: the massage was so HORRIBLE. You guys can SERIOUSLY do better. Please go try THAI MASSAGE.. The quality of the massage is far superior. Staff is very friendly and the place is pretty nice. I really regret getting a massage from here. Please don't do the same mistake that I had did.. $45 for an hour massage, Thai massage is about $65 for an hour (Trust me, it's worth it!) Pros: I called and got an appointment right away. So that was nice. Cons: Lame/horrible massage, unfriendly staff, they charge you $1 for using your card (The lady has the nerve to ask me for a dollar more for the tip, we are talking about bumping it up to 18%. For that kind of service? I just did because I was really really upset and I just left) I don't really get upset easily but that was a upsetting night. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. PLEASE STAY AWAY. (I've warned you) read more
