I told the doctor that I had an adverse reaction to a medication and he told me to trust him, he does everything "text book" and injected the medication (at a high dosage). During a follow up visit with my daughter present, the doctor said, "I have never seen this bad of reaction." I said, "Maybe some patients aren't text book?" I have missed three weeks of work and was referred to a corneal specialist in the UEC group due to the adverse effects of the injection. Today the corneal specialist used forceps to remove a protective contact that had slightly adhered to my eye. It hurt. I didn't over react, just quietly said ouch twice. The doctor said, "I've used the numbing drops, so..." So what? I imagined the pain? I will continue follow up for the damage done through another doctor, medical group. The take away here is that you know yourself best and doctors are human, sometimes arrogant Walk if you need to, sooner rather than later. The staff at the Ogden location was awesome! There is a weird culture with the staff at the Bountiful location. It's day and night.

I recently had Cataract surgery from Dr. Griffin at the Pleasent Grove location. My results are…read moreexcellent. Dr. Griffin is very professional. It was an easier procedure than I expected. I would recommend this to anyone considering Cataract surgery. Michael Keller Price, Utah

He also got a new contact prescription and i asked optical dept to print off his new prescription. They refused and said they had to order a trial pair before they would print prescription. I waited 5 days for that trial to come in and then asked for the prescription to be printed off and they again refused to print his prescription because he had to wear the trial pair for a week before they would print it off. In the meantime i am still waiting weeks for lenses and my son got into an accident where he both broke his frames and lost them. I explained this to the optical dept and they assured me the warranty would cover the frames. A month later i still do not have the full glasses set and when i called the optical dept said they were in back order and it will be another 2- 4 weeks from the manufacturer. I talk with the supervisor and find out they ordered the wrong frames. New frames are ordered now (1 month later) and i am told the warranty would cover them. This started in April and i come now in June to pick up the warranty covered pair and the optical dept asks for glasses frames that were broken. I previously explained multiple times that they were lost in the mtn bike accident that landed my son in the ER. They now tell me i have to pay for the frames. Worst service ever and my son is -4 in one eye and -8 in the other. I barely get both his contact prescription (they also printed the wrong one) and set of new glasses (they assured me warranty would cover) in June when the initial appointment was in April. Completely incompetent staff who never listened to the situation that was explained to them multiple times. I have come here 11 years with my son and was told by one of the staff members "i have been here 2 years and it's always been this way". Well i have come here 11 years and used the warranty and never had to bring back the broken frames. I was barely able to order contacts from another store because they held my son's prescription hostage and refused to print it off when asked multiple times. If you want your prescription 1+ months later then this optical dept is the place for you.

Awesome experience! I came in for a consult on a Wednesday & had my LASIK surgery the following…read moreFriday. The whole process was easy and well explained by the staff & Doctor. The procedure itself was about 10-15 minutes. It was absolutely painless, just felt some pressure. My eyes were very sensitive after the procedure (why naps are encouraged). I got home, took a 4 hour nap and when I woke up, the eye irritation was significantly less. Every passing day, my eyes are less dry and irritated. And my vision seems to get better and clearer. After care was very easy, eye drops and vitamins. Price was great, office staff is great, process & after care, great. Very satisfied and glad I chose to come here. Would definitely recommend!

The…read morepricing was about the same at the competitors but at Lasik plus, you don't pay any extra on your warranty, and it's near impossible to void your warranty. It's also the biggest chain and has multiple locations throughout the US, beating the competitors here in Utah. My Dr was Sally Thompson and she has a ton of experience. I encourage you to research your drs before going through with any surgery. I think Dr Thompson has over 50,000 successful lasik procedures completed. The staff was amazing and all very nice. The procedure itself only took like 15min. It is exactly 24hrs since I got the procedure done. I went to lasik plus today for my follow up appointment. My vision is already BETTER than 20/20, and once the haloing goes away due to the healing process, my vision will become even clearer. If I was given the choice to do it all over again or stay using glasses/contacts, I would do the procedure again without hesitation. And I would recommend that anyone get it done for themselves if they were candidates. I would absolutely send them to Lasik Plus.
