He educated me on all sorts of eye conditions, why my vision could be the way it is, the risks of not caring for my contacts and eyes the way I should be, etc and most importantly he was realistic. The real test of my experience with WV Eye Care was when I had a complaint and how they resolved it. I had an appointment to have my eyes examined and prescription filled, and then I chose 3 different frames for my needs: bifocals, computer use, and painting use. (I'm an artist and need a different distance from the canvas than for a computer.) It's kind of strange that some eyeglass places can fill prescriptions same-day when others require weeks. WV Eye care falls into the "weeks" category, so I had to wait. Unfortunately, the bifocals turned out to be not so great. (The other two are great.) The frames needed constant tightening, they fell off my head if I put them up off my face, and the lenses got terribly scratched, right in my line of sight. These were glasses that cost me over $800, so I was very disappointed. I returned to WV Eye Care with my complaints, and it was a little more complicated than I've just described, so it was kind of frustrating to explain to the receptionist. There was a delay, and when I returned, there was a different person on shift at the desk. Although I feel I would have ultimately had the same outcome with whoever was at the desk, the second person was definitely easier to communicate with and less frustrating in an already frustrating situation. I am happy to report I eventually walked out with completely new frames and lenses to replace the bad ones, and at the last minute, I decided to buy prescription sunglasses too. I absolutely LOVE my replacement glasses, and also my new sunglasses! So yes, I had to wait...no quickie jobs here. Yes, they really took good care of me when things didn't go well. And yes, I ended up purchasing even more from them because they took good care of me. I love all of my glasses now and I'm very happy with how it all turned out. I will return to WV Eye Care in the future and I recommend them to others!

The opticians at Wasatch View Eyecare were the first ones (and I have been to multiple optical shops), to understand what I was going thru and who offered me hope. They made me some wonderful glasses which I am tolerating very well. I have been searching for over a year for a good optical shop and have finally found it. I am SO grateful to them!

I have the possibility of going blind tonight because of these guys! I started having visions in…read morethe morning and I called in for help and they told me I absolutely had to be seen by them today but to come in at 4 PM. They demanded insurance when I walked in, and I spent 50 minutes on the phone, looking it up to them before they finally informed me that they needed my health insurance instead of my vision. It took me five minutes to get my health insurance information when they inform me that it was too late and they were closing for the day so I had to go home and just hope I don't go blind. Stay away from this clinic at all costs!!!

The best part about this place is the provider Dr Pierce! Every appointment I've ever had at an optometrist felt like I was at a "vision mill" where they just check your prescription and try to get you out of the clinic as fast as possible to see the next patient. Dr Pierce took the time to break down the results of all of my test results in depth; perhaps since I'm an aspiring PA he could tell my nerdy passion for anatomy and went in greater depth because he noticed I appreciated it, but even still that's just the sign of an excellent provider! I never felt rushed during my appointment and he answered all of my questions about how to improve my dry eyes and even gave me regimen advice for hot compress as well as eye drop and eye health supplementation suggestions.
