Every time I have gone there they are always a good half hour late. I had an appt on Dec 1,2025 at 3:00 left work early did not even get called back till 4:15 then they dilated my eyes and I waited till after 4:30 didn't leave till 4:45 that is very disrespectful of peoples time . No apology nothing . Not I'm sore of I was late they would have made me reschedule , so I used time off to sit there this is everyone I go I will never go back and I would not recommend them read more

The care has been good here for my wife as the nurse who referred me to get care here 3 years ago. So today was our 3rd time here, and it started off frustrating. We have been seen downstairs for the last two years, so we parked and went in. We were told oh you are being seen upstairs. We were lead to an elevator down several corridors, and then we went to the front desk to check in. We are always early, as you never know you might get in early. I walked around the building and drove the car to the top to park. We waited, and waited, so after 30 minutes I went to check in on this, as my wife and I have actually gotten up and left appointments before do to overbooking. We walked out of her last physician as we waited for 45 minutes in the exam room, and then we got the doctor we now have. The lady at the counter said oh they have your room ready and will be calling soon. The typical come back to patients I guess. Anyways we were there 2 hours which is ridiculous and I told the doctor, when they send the confirmation text to the patient to confirm their appointment they need to add if it is upstairs or downstairs, as several people checking in was told their appointment is downstairs. This whole thing is stupid, as it is inconvenient as all heck. It is downright stupid! read more

Initially, I didn't have any problems with them. I had good service. BUT... I saw my doctor in December of 2024 because I wanted new sunglasses. I already had a pair of sunglasses and eyeglasses which worked fine. But I wanted to get my prescription checked and order a new pair that were auto darkening. My prescription was slightly different but not enough to make my current glasses unusable. The new sunglasses were ordered. Between January and August, they made the wrong lenses 3 times. They were BLURRY. On the 3rd visit in August, they said I ordered them without a prescription and wouldn't make a correction if I saw a doctor. Although they were ordered with a prescription from my visit in December months prior, I made another appointment and I had the tech and the optometrist verify if the lenses matched the prescription. The lenses were still wrong. After the 4th attempt, they haven't yet made the lenses. So, the pair I paid for in December of 2024 have not been made yet. They are aware of the problem but haven't solved it yet. Everything was paid in full last December but I don't have any glasses yet. Every visit is a one way 25 minute drive. That's 6 round trips to date. read more

Dr. Poll and his team provided a quality experience for my recent bilateral cataract surgery. I have had an uneventful recovery with improved vision, the whole goal, right? Mt. Ogden Surgical Center was also very professional and facilitated the process. No complaints-very happy with care and outcome. My below review is written to help manage expectations. Please know once you have decided to have the surgery you will have an appointment to be measured for your lens. You will be asked to choose what type of lens you want as well as whether or not you want the procedure to be done with a laser. They will also offer you an option of paying for a bottle of compounded eye drops or obtaining prescriptions for the three separate eye drops needed before and after your surgery. It did catch me a bit off-guard as no warning I would need to make these decisions. However, you can go home, think about it, and call back. Kelli is very kind and helpful in leading through all of the above information. Also be aware that when you have your follow-up appointment, it will be with an associate optometrist, not your surgeon. No issue with his care, again, just would be nice to know that is what to expect. If you have an underlying eye condition such as macular degeneration, it is helpful to ask your retina specialist in advance what type of lens he/she recommends. The compounded bottle of drops does simplify managing the eye drops so is worth the $50.00. Hopefully this will help someone be a bit more prepared for choices they may need to make. read more

I had cataract surgery on Feb 27, 2025. They talked me into paying extra money for the surgery because the outcome would be better. My vision is worse now than before the surgery. I have been back 4 or 5 times and they do not want to tell me what went wrong. I am getting no help from them and it seems like they are not willing to fix the problem with my eye. One of their doctors said I would need lasik surgery to fix my eye but the other doctors I have visited with have not even provided any solution. I recently was referred to Utah Eye Center for Cataracts. the whole staff was great. My surgeon was Dr Hanson. He was friendly ,professional, and caring. He made an extra point in asking if I had any questions about the surgery and after care. He even called after my surgeries to make sure all was well. I am very pleased with everyone that I came in contact with at the eye center. I will be going back for my yearly exams. I really wasn't in the waiting room for very long which was nice. The assistant was wonderful. I will never ever go back to Utah Eye Center again, I was there on a referral from my doctor, so I really didn't plan on getting glasses but I needed the eye exam because of a medication I take. I could hear the doctor out in the hallway running his mouth about how he didn't want to come in and do whatever was left on the eye exam because I didn't plan on purchasing glasses or something but he was not at all happy to come in and do my exam. The young lady that took care of everything before he got in there she was wonderful, Dr. Paul was a piece of shit I have now told every single person I work with to not go there. I plan on leaving a negative review everywhere I can about there because of him. Yes I need glasses. No I Couldn't afford them. Would it have been nice to get a nice pair yeah. But from this point out, I will never ever recommend that place nor will I ever return and the doctor that gave me the referral. I had an appointment with Dr. Anderson, my wait time was extremely long. But he was very nice...until the end when I reminded him I also needed a prescription for my computer/reading glasses (in addition to my distance prescription.) He did not measure, he just took a guess. I had the distance prescription filled first, and then decided to get some new computer/reading glasses in January. I took it to Costco (thank heavens, because they will replace the lenses for free!) and when it was filled I realized it was wrong. I phoned Dr. Anderson's office and was told by his (very rude) office staff that I will have to pay for another exam...what? He didn't even measure me for these computer/reading glasses and I have to pay for another one? "You got a full exam." WOW! I'm going to go pay a Costco Optometrist for the updated computer/reading glasses. I won't pay this company another dime! read more

She immediately said there was nothing she could do and there was nothing they would tell her and we had to call them. She was very rude about it and gave us a very rude attitude. Had Cataract surgery done. Paid in full before anything was done. Including my co-pay. After the surgery, I got a bill for additional co-pay. Not one but two additional co-pays because they did the surgery in two different facilities 100 feet apart. Then I went in for the final follow-up which was scheduled as part of all the original surgery appointments. Got another bill for co-pay. They claim it wasn't a follow-up. I must have come for my own pleasure to wait an hour to be seen. The procedure went ok but will have the other eye done ANYWHERE else. When I first consulted about the surgery I was handed off to what could have been a "time share" closer. Should have figured out their style of business then. read more

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY GLASSES FROM THIS CLINIC. Nicole who is the manager of the eyewear department is not the friendly sort with a complete lack of customer service. I purchased a pair of 800.00 glasses and was told emphatically there was a 2-year warranty. In fact, Nicole and I put the warranty expiration date in my phone calendar as I finished the purchase. Turns out the pair I purchased has a one-year warranty, the glasses are chipped and need to be replaced and they refused the request. I believe a company should stand by what they say, even when they make a mistake. They offered me an at-cost replacement, but I declined and instead opted to write a review of my experience. The aggressive rude attitude from Nicole was exactly how you never want to be treated especially when your family has been buying eyewear at high dollar costs from one place for many years. All steps along my procedure were good. A bit of what seemed like extra waiting in procedure day. Arrival at 5:45am and didn't see the doctor until about 6:45am. Then later in the day for follow up it was pretty much the same. Most likely due to the broken leg Dr. Sykes was functioning with though so understandable. I skipped the Valium but didn't have much discomfort past about an hour and a half post LASIK. Was seeing 20/20 and 20/25 by 4:30 in the afternoon. read more

I do not recommend you waste your time at Utah Eye Centers. They are so poorly managed and have unfriendly and quite frankly, rude staff. My daughter saw two different doctors and they were both great, but the office staff are terrible. They cancelled an appointment and rescheduled to a different office that is 30 mins away without telling me. Then when I tried to figure out what happened the staff member didn't care and told me that the next appointment they had was not for another month and a half. Only when I demanded to talk to an office manager did an appointment suddenly open up. They don't seem to know what they're doing. I call to ask a simple question and get sent to several people who just don't seem to care. I got a call from someone regarding paperwork that needed to be completed and they had no regard for anything other than getting their job done. Customer service is a joke. The person on the phone told me "well that doesn't help me at all," in a very snarky tone when I said I couldn't get to the paperwork until later because I was at work. We then called to speak to the doctor today and the staff wouldn't even allow us to talk to him, but they ran back and talked to him. Finally, after some badgering they allowed us to leave him a voicemail so that we could actually talk to him and share out concerns. That evening, we received a call and it wasn't even from the doctor as requested. Beyond frustrated with the mismanagement of this company. read more

Just got off the phone with dr. Bullard's office and I have to say I'm a little annoyed/dissatisfied. I have always been happy with my experience in the office, I think Dr. Bullard is a great dr. But I asked for an eyeglass prescription last time I was there, and they didn't measure all the things I actually needed to order glasses I realized when I was trying to order glasses online I didn't have all the information needed, so I called the office and the person I talked to was not very helpful she suggested I go to an eyeglass center and have them measure me---I guess I thought I could leave the eye doctor with all the information I needed about my eyes??? I mean if you're not going to take those measurements as standard procedure for every patient (which you should) at least offer to do it after I call and say I need them??? Don't tell me to "find an eye center". Anyways. I guess make sure before you leave you specifically ask that they give you all the info you will need. read more

I would give a negative star if I could. where to begin..... the doctor was non existent. I was there a total of three hours. took FOREVER just to hand me an Rx (like 1.5 HOURS) They measured and wrote my PD on the Rx handed it to me folded. I got home and it was SOMEONE ELSES RX. When I called back no one mentioned being sorry or that they had made a mistake, rather they said, YOU must have picked up the wrong RX. when over the phone they read me MY rx it was different than what the doctor had told me while I was sitting there.
