It is on rare occasions that I leave positive reviews. This happens only when I have an experience…read morewith a business that exceeds my expectations. I had this experience when I decided to get my eyes checked and I chose to give Dr. Watson from Legacy Vision Group my business. My initial thought as I entered Legacy Vision Group was how clean the office looked. Everything looked to be in order and all of the equipment was well maintained. I was greeted immediately by Dr. Watson and his office assistant Carla and felt at home instantly. Dr. Watson is one of the funniest guys I have ever met. He is able to meld his professionalism and humor into an experience that leaves a patient feeling happy and informed. Throughout all of the procedures Dr. Watson explained every step and walked me through images of my eyes and what the images were showing in terms that I could understand and of course with his humor lightly salting the conversation. At the end of my exam, Dr. Watson wasn't trying to sell me glasses or services that I didn't need. Based on my exam he was able to identify issues that I was experiencing without me telling him any of my symptoms. Dr. Watson explained to me that the issues I am experiencing could be minimized by glasses, but if the issues didn't bother me then I didn't need to worry about purchasing glasses. It was nice not to be pressured into buying anything I didn't need. I decided to purchase glasses from Legacy Vision Group and of course I didn't bring my wife with me so I was a little worried about picking out glasses that made me look like an idiot. Dr. Watson asked his office assistant Carla to help me pick out a pair of glasses. It was a great experience having Dr. Watson explaining to me the pros and cons of each pair glasses and having Carla's sense of style. I ultimately chose a pair that Carla selected and felt like they looked and fit me perfectly. I will definitely be using Legacy Vision Group for all of my families' eye care needs.

I came in for a vision exam & new glasses because I broke mine. I explained that I react poorly to…read moredilation, and did not want my eyes dilated. The Doctor said I only had two choices-- dilate or pay $30 extra to have my eyes photographed. He said it's because he was sued years ago (then went on to tell me the entire story.. he also mentioned that the judge in his case told him that in the state of Utah, if you're doing eye exams, you must dilate or photograph or you're liable if the person has a brain tumor..?! Which is inaccurate.) Sharing the lawsuit story story was unprofessional; if Legacy requires eye dilation for every vision exam they perform, they should explain that it's required at the time of appointment. I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and have never been *forced* to dilate my eyes (or pay extra to opt-out) for a standard vision exam.

Turns out the lenses were under warranty because I had reused the frames from a prior pair of glasses. The frames have been discontinued. It will be a couple weeks to get the replacements and they are letting me keep the current ones while I wait. Much better customer service. I've updated to 3 stars from 1 star because they are trying to make things right. Not possible to completely recover from the original poor interactions but I have to give them credit for doing what they can. I'll update again when the glasses arrive and I exchange them. Could go up or down 1 star based on the final result.

Zero Stars - Absolutely Terrible Experience If I could give…read moreMountain View Eye Center at Holy Cross zero stars, I would. This was one of the worst experiences l've ever had at any medical office. I arrived 10 minutes early to my scheduled appointment, to fill out paperwork. To my surprise, there was no receptionist at the desk, so I stood there waiting the entire 10 minutes, which completely defeats the purpose of coming early. Yes, they were able to fit me in due to a cancellation (which I appreciate), but it took me less than 10 minutes to complete the paperwork. I was told that I was checked in, Despite that, I ended up waiting over an hour past my scheduled time (1:20 pm) with Jepsen, Nolan L. - and still wasn't even seated. To make matters worse, people who arrived after me were being seen before me. It was clear my appointment and time weren't being respected. I've been to many eye centers before, and this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, I had to leave my previous eye doctor because of a change in vision insurance, and Mountain View was recommended to me. I seriously regret taking that advice. In the end, I walked out. This place is completely unorganized and unprofessional. I won't be returning, and I won't be recommending it to anyone. Now they want to charge me $50 dollars for missing my scheduled appointment, but seriously you guys waiting past an hour for a scheduled time isn't does not make it a scheduled appointment.
