When I went to check-in they had some questions about insurance. Our insurance had changed but we checked before scheduling to make sure they were in network. We have 2 versions of insurance, one that covers exams & one that covers lenses & contacts. They knew it had changed but didn't request anything before to get it cleared up and then while trying to answer questions with my wife on the phone looking it up, Julie cut me off multiple times & seemed like she didn't want to do anything but prove my insurance wasn't good. The last thing I was told by her was "they would bill it to my insurance but I know they won't cover it so they will send us the bill after." Since it seemed like she really didn't want my business I just decided to leave. Both my daughter & I have been going there but we won't anymore. It's too bad because Dr. Dygart is awesome but I have never dealt with someone so condescending or treated so poorly. Even better, after leaving we called our insurance & they confirmed it was fully covered.

The procedure itself was about 10-15 minutes. It was absolutely painless, just felt some pressure. My eyes were very sensitive after the procedure (why naps are encouraged). I got home, took a 4 hour nap and when I woke up, the eye irritation was significantly less. Every passing day, my eyes are less dry and irritated. And my vision seems to get better and clearer. I encourage you to research your drs before going through with any surgery. I think Dr Thompson has over 50,000 successful lasik procedures completed. The staff was amazing and all very nice. The procedure itself only took like 15min. It is exactly 24hrs since I got the procedure done. I went to lasik plus today for my follow up appointment. My vision is already BETTER than 20/20, and once the haloing goes away due to the healing process, my vision will become even clearer. If I was given the choice to do it all over again or stay using glasses/contacts, I would do the procedure again without hesitation. And I would recommend that anyone get it done for themselves if they were candidates. I would absolutely send them to Lasik Plus.

Everyone there makes you feel so at ease. Dr. Passi is awesome. You can tell he has the experience, knowledge to get what needs to happen done and forethought of everything you may ask, answered. One of my favorite things about Dr. Passi was his complete honesty, just enough fluff to make you comfortable but at the same time, made sure you understand what's going to happen, what needs to happen afterwards and realistically what to expect after treatment and that's ultimately what he's logically there for. The expertise in this area, and he more than knows his craft. Last night oof, he was right, I was wrecked but after following directions of medicated eye drops every 2 hours and wear the covers with the correct amount of ibuprofen- Tylenol ratio, I was totally fine this morning (I took melatonin too because it never hurts to want to not wake up constantly) I'm sure Hoopes is great BUT I also would say there's definitely not just a single place to go and don't rule this place out. My Doctor was Dr. Passi he was amazing, I told him after I had my second eye done that I got a little teary eyed on my drive into my post op appointment, I said "Did you know leaves are not just green and have many different shapes and rocks have lines that make unique patters, that yellow really is a pretty color and the sky was so blue and the clouds were so white. Colors are so vibrant it's just been amazing the difference. And a special shout out to Becca who scheduled my surgery was the sweetest funniest, caring human ever, she goes out of her way and gave 110%. I love his 'bed-side' manner and caring nature. His staff is always so friendly, accommodating, and just so fun to be around.
