Turns out the lenses were under warranty because I had reused the frames from a prior pair of glasses. The frames have been discontinued. It will be a couple weeks to get the replacements and they are letting me keep the current ones while I wait. Much better customer service. I've updated to 3 stars from 1 star because they are trying to make things right. Not possible to completely recover from the original poor interactions but I have to give them credit for doing what they can. I'll update again when the glasses arrive and I exchange them. This was one of the worst experiences l've ever had at any medical office. I arrived 10 minutes early to my scheduled appointment, to fill out paperwork. To my surprise, there was no receptionist at the desk, so I stood there waiting the entire 10 minutes, which completely defeats the purpose of coming early. Yes, they were able to fit me in due to a cancellation (which I appreciate), but it took me less than 10 minutes to complete the paperwork. I was told that I was checked in, Despite that, I ended up waiting over an hour past my scheduled time (1:20 pm) with Jepsen, Nolan L. - and still wasn't even seated. To make matters worse, people who arrived after me were being seen before me. It was clear my appointment and time weren't being respected. I've been to many eye centers before, and this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, I had to leave my previous eye doctor because of a change in vision insurance, and Mountain View was recommended to me. I seriously regret taking that advice. In the end, I walked out. This place is completely unorganized and unprofessional. I won't be returning, and I won't be recommending it to anyone. I received a letter from Dr. Reese's wife stating that they had found a new doctor to take over his practice. I called and made an appointment. I have to say that Mrs. Rhees vetted extremely well! Dr. Kyle Wilson is amazing! He took the time to answer all of my questions and even when I "zigzaged" and asked him about a new pair of glasses in addition to the contacts I initially came in for, he made the time to show me glasses and get them ordered for me, as well. While there everything went fine and I didn't feel like the wait was too long. I asked for my contact prescription before leaving and was told I didn't need a written one because it was all online, however when I got home to order my contacts online there was nothing there at all. I called them and asked if I could please get the prescription so I could order my contacts and the first gal I talked to told me I would have to drive back out there for it. Needless to say I was more then irked since I had made a point of asking for it while at the store earlier that day and was refused one and told to get the info online. I was also irked that she refused to tell me what the actual prescription was so I could just order them and then the prescription could be verified before they were shipped out to me easily by fax. When I pointed this out the young lady got rude and huffy and said that was their policy and if I didn't want to drive there I would have to wait for it to be sent by UPS mail, at which point I asked to speak with her manager. Her manager got on the phone and took care of it right away and apologized for it not being on the site and was quickly able to give me the information so I could order my contacts. She was polite and apologetic and I got my contacts with no delay or problem from my online order. With the exception of one rude employee, America's Best was a great place to buy contacts (and I assume glasses). I would recommend them and hope that employee got some retraining so that this won't be an issue in the future.
