When I went to check-in they had some questions about insurance. Our insurance had changed but we checked before scheduling to make sure they were in network. We have 2 versions of insurance, one that covers exams & one that covers lenses & contacts. They knew it had changed but didn't request anything before to get it cleared up and then while trying to answer questions with my wife on the phone looking it up, Julie cut me off multiple times & seemed like she didn't want to do anything but prove my insurance wasn't good. The last thing I was told by her was "they would bill it to my insurance but I know they won't cover it so they will send us the bill after." Since it seemed like she really didn't want my business I just decided to leave. Both my daughter & I have been going there but we won't anymore. It's too bad because Dr. Dygart is awesome but I have never dealt with someone so condescending or treated so poorly. Even better, after leaving we called our insurance & they confirmed it was fully covered.

He has helped me with some eye problems I've had and does a great job working me in last minute to get things resolved (he even was willing to come in early at 7:30a.m. one day when he was already completely booked!) His office staff is also wonderful and very friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they're often running behind and you have to wait for a awhile sometimes... It's because he takes his time with each patient and does all the testing himself, which really is nice actually. But just be prepared to wait :)

Turns out the lenses were under warranty because I had reused the frames from a prior pair of glasses. The frames have been discontinued. It will be a couple weeks to get the replacements and they are letting me keep the current ones while I wait. Much better customer service. I've updated to 3 stars from 1 star because they are trying to make things right. Not possible to completely recover from the original poor interactions but I have to give them credit for doing what they can. I'll update again when the glasses arrive and I exchange them. Could go up or down 1 star based on the final result.

This was one of the worst experiences l've ever had at any medical office. I arrived 10 minutes early to my scheduled appointment, to fill out paperwork. To my surprise, there was no receptionist at the desk, so I stood there waiting the entire 10 minutes, which completely defeats the purpose of coming early. Yes, they were able to fit me in due to a cancellation (which I appreciate), but it took me less than 10 minutes to complete the paperwork. I was told that I was checked in, Despite that, I ended up waiting over an hour past my scheduled time (1:20 pm) with Jepsen, Nolan L. - and still wasn't even seated. To make matters worse, people who arrived after me were being seen before me. It was clear my appointment and time weren't being respected. I've been to many eye centers before, and this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, I had to leave my previous eye doctor because of a change in vision insurance, and Mountain View was recommended to me. I seriously regret taking that advice. In the end, I walked out. This place is completely unorganized and unprofessional. I won't be returning, and I won't be recommending it to anyone. Now they want to charge me $50 dollars for missing my scheduled appointment, but seriously you guys waiting past an hour for a scheduled time isn't does not make it a scheduled appointment.

I came in for a vision exam & new glasses because I broke mine. I explained that I react poorly to…read moredilation, and did not want my eyes dilated. The Doctor said I only had two choices-- dilate or pay $30 extra to have my eyes photographed. He said it's because he was sued years ago (then went on to tell me the entire story.. he also mentioned that the judge in his case told him that in the state of Utah, if you're doing eye exams, you must dilate or photograph or you're liable if the person has a brain tumor..?! Which is inaccurate.) Sharing the lawsuit story story was unprofessional; if Legacy requires eye dilation for every vision exam they perform, they should explain that it's required at the time of appointment. I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and have never been *forced* to dilate my eyes (or pay extra to opt-out) for a standard vision exam.

He did not correctly diagnose my condition and prescribed me expensive drops that I did not need, were painful and did not work. When I had concerns about the drops he would switch me to a worse drop. My concerns about pain in my eyes were written off as dry eye. He seems to have a very narrow view of eye diseases.

I felt confident going into surgery knowing he knew my eyes and my correction. Having my eyes operated on seemed daunting and scary but Dr. Richards was very reassuring and calming. He was great at answering my questions and following up with me. He corrected my vision to better than I ever saw with glasses or contacts. It has been LIFE CHANGING! I have recommended him to all of my friends and family! He's the best of the best!
