It was a fine experience. If I schedule an appointment for 3pm, why do I need to wait until 3:20 to see anyone? I don't understand why this is the standard in so many medical offices, and it makes me want to show up 15 minutes late for my appointment, except that would be very rude. So why is it not rude when they do it without any explanation, apology, or even acknowledgement? The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is because I think you can expect a wait in most medical offices you attend, despite how frustrating it is. And because the experience was otherwise pleasant.

I was not happy with several things about my experience with Dr. Daynes' office. First the machine…read morethey used to read my current glasses prescription was way off, which caused them to give me the wrong prescription at the end of my visit. Second, he had his assistant technician do all the work except for the very last part--but he didn't read any of the notes that she took down after asking me a lot of questions. Then he didn't seem to care at all about me or my long-term eye health. I had mentioned a couple concerns to his assistant but he didn't help me with any of them apart to recommend a quick procedure that I think he did more for his $$ than my benefit. He seemed to just want to move me in and out as quickly as possible. I'd recommend everyone stay away from his office unless you are desperate.

Slightly over four years ago my eyes had trouble reading smaller print. I decided to give these…read moreguys a try. I made an appointment and was seen quickly. After the eye exam I was told I needed glasses. I suspected that would be the case prior to the appointment but I also went there for the two pairs of eye glasses with the exam for $69.99 or $89.99. I was told I needed bifocals or progressive glasses. My distance vision seems to be right on the money. Next I was told that my prescription would not be part of the two for $69.99 or $89.99 (I can't remember the exact price) Since I feel that my distance vision was fine I asked to have glasses to help me read and that would be part of the advertised sale. I was told the two, pairs of glasses would be ready in about two weeks. When the glasses arrived they handed them to me over the counter. When I got home I tried them on while reading and they made no difference at all. I was unable to return to the store and eventually gave up on glasses. Fast Forward - change of employment required to read the computer screen so I decided to try again. The same Dr. was there and the process started all over again. I did bring the glasses from 4yrs ago and they told me they were not for reading. After paying for another eye exam the staff suggested I get progressive and transition glasses, the one pair of glasses were about $650 after discounts. The glasses did arrive before I started my new job. This time the staff made sure they fit properly and made some frame adjustments and had me read a small font. Since I've never worn glasses before it took me about a week to get used to them. A week later I returned again and asked for a pair of reading glasses and in an effort to save money I asked them to reuse the frames from 4yrs ago. When those glasses showed up I just took them over the counter and left the store. When I got home history was repeating itself. The reading glasses were useless. This time I did not wait 4yrs, upon returning to the store the admitted they made a mistake and put the distance prescription in the frames. (The same ones from 4yrs ago) Hmmmm. They did fix it.

He's not rough with them. He literally turned his head to the left and the frame cracked and the lens popped out. If you don't purchase the warranty, Standard Optical won't help, even if the frames are defective. For now, we keep using the plastic welder. Once it's been a year, we're going to the vision center in Walmart even though they don't accept our insurance. We've had a fantastic experience with them in the past.

Awesome experience! I came in for a consult on a Wednesday & had my LASIK surgery the following…read moreFriday. The whole process was easy and well explained by the staff & Doctor. The procedure itself was about 10-15 minutes. It was absolutely painless, just felt some pressure. My eyes were very sensitive after the procedure (why naps are encouraged). I got home, took a 4 hour nap and when I woke up, the eye irritation was significantly less. Every passing day, my eyes are less dry and irritated. And my vision seems to get better and clearer. After care was very easy, eye drops and vitamins. Price was great, office staff is great, process & after care, great. Very satisfied and glad I chose to come here. Would definitely recommend!

It's also the biggest chain and has multiple locations throughout the US, beating the competitors here in Utah. My Dr was Sally Thompson and she has a ton of experience. I encourage you to research your drs before going through with any surgery. I think Dr Thompson has over 50,000 successful lasik procedures completed. The staff was amazing and all very nice. The procedure itself only took like 15min. It is exactly 24hrs since I got the procedure done. I went to lasik plus today for my follow up appointment. My vision is already BETTER than 20/20, and once the haloing goes away due to the healing process, my vision will become even clearer. If I was given the choice to do it all over again or stay using glasses/contacts, I would do the procedure again without hesitation. And I would recommend that anyone get it done for themselves if they were candidates. I would absolutely send them to Lasik Plus.

Notably, this is such a rare quality in our society in general, that the fact that it can still exist in light of all the stressors we all face in the world is actually miraculous. For my part, I can only convey the thought I know that I've been truly blessed by the experience. My vision has been corrected beyond my expectations. Whereas before I dare not approach a book, a newspaper or let alone my phone without glasses, now i am typing this review. In my observations, having such a variety of people come together with all their private lives looming always in the background of their own minds; to have the aforementioned capacity to bless me, convey empathy to me and display a certain investment in my outcome glaringly speaks to the fact the entire staff that attended to my needs in this facility are individually unique and beautiful souls with the skillsets to match in ensuring that you leave there far better than when you arrived.
