This was my first time going to Target Optical, and I had a very positive experience. The doctor was very professional and, while remaining friendly, she got my eye test done quickly. The selection of glasses was really great, and they had a lot of unisex style options, as well as color, shape, and material (clear plastic, frosted plastic, metal, etc.) options. The woman helping in the glasses showroom was very positive about me trying everything on, and even found a few styles and colors for me that I liked. It was very hard to choose, since they have so many choices! Once I did choose my pairs of glasses (I purchased two pairs), I was told that my glasses would be ready within the week. There was an offer for a protection plan, but there wasn't pressure to pay extra, which was nice. Now, less than a week later, I have my two pairs of Ray Bans, and I was met with a kind and polite attitude by the guy working today (his name was Ty!) and he was very helpful in making sure my glasses fit right and were not crooked. Now I'm comfortable in my new specs, and I'm happy to report that I had an enjoyable and stress-free experience.

The most amazing optical I've ever been to. This staff if fantastic. The Doctors here are just freaking fantastic as well. They were able to diagnose and help me pick out a pair of glasses with the utmost ease. They're the best! Will never go anywhere else!

So, I've had the distinct pleasure of working with Jodie, the proprietor/owner of East Millcreek…read moreEyewear for a long time now. I'm guessing well over ten (10) years, but she may know more accurately how long it's been. She is one of the very few folks that carry the line of product I really like. They are Kawasaki's with cable temples. At 65, I'm a super active guy, and the cable temples keep them from moving on/off my face when I am active. I am also EXTREMELY demanding and an ADHD perfectionist. Did not bother Jodie one bit; she was super confident in her ability to excel; especially with me being a remote customer out of the DFW area some 1,228 miles east of her office. I have travelled out to Utah on occasion, but never been able to stop by and meet her in person to thank her for her kindness & courtesy. By now, I've received about a dozen pairs of glasses from her with absolutely ZERO (0) issues. Does not seem like much, but the investment over the years has likely been north of $9K. Not cheap, but great value in my opinion. Quality is not a budget item. Plus, these always look like jewelry. They are just gorgeous. Can't thank Jodie enough. One day, I will stop by and surprise her... She is all about the efficient delivery of GREAT service to the customer. Feels more like a close friendship more so than a 'business transaction. Pro tip: If you stop by her East Millcreek location, head down to Provo and try out the Black Sheep Cafe. Stellar. If you are visiting from out of state, go visit the "Mighty Five". (I call it the Almighty Five, cause it's more like a religious experience in nature). Visiting Page AZ, the Slot Canyons and Horseshoe Bend, and Moab, lots of great parks out that way, both state & national. Will blow you away! If you like Bourbon, there is High West in Park City; they have a great restaurant. Enjoy! Thank you Jodie-

And the delightful Jodie did everything I could ask for to repair and rapidly return my glasses to me in what felt like no time. She even sped up her response to get the glasses fixed before a long 3-day weekend, which would have delayed getting to them even further. So, I'm very impressed with Jodie and her team. And she even went above and beyond to tighten up the hinges and replace my old temple tips with new ones, so the glasses came back looking like new, in a new case and cleaning cloth. In short, though I was 2,000 miles away, I felt like a first-class customer and highly recommend them.

They did NOT stand behind their product and did NOTHING to help me with frames that broke beyond repair after less than nine-months of occasional use. I saw Dr. Bogus for my exam the first time I had vision insurance. I found him engaging and knowledgeable. I decided to get my glass at his office because I wanted to support this local business, even though after insurance I would have out-of-pocket costs. His son Cris Bogus sells the eyewear and helped me select frames made by Dragon (part of Marchon Eyewear). The frames/lenses came to a total of $658 (my portion was $220). This was on 1/30/2021, but due prescription errors they had to be re-filled, adjusted twice, and added time for mail delivery and Covid complications, I was not able to wear the glasses until 3/29/2021. Even though I did not wear these fames daily, in early January 2022, they started disintegrating at the hinge connections and breaking (see photos). Due to a Covid quarantine and 2 failed attempts to catch Cris in the office, I was not able to show Cris the broken frames until 3/6/2022. As Cris excused himself to pull my file, a women came into the office to select eyeglasses. Cris promptly emerged from the back, passing by me, to help this woman select glasses. After a few minutes, the receptionist emerged with my file and bluntly told me the frames were out of warranty and that I would have to order new frames for $200. I left the office disgusted. I later realized that the promise of a commission was more appealing to Cris than helping me with my broken frames. I contacted Dragon' Eyewear who directed to submit an email claim to Marchon. Janice Berlingeri, a customer service agent responded to inform me that she consulted with Cris, that the frames were past a one-year warranty, and that Marchon would do nothing. I replied to Ms. Berlingeri for specifics on the warranty and questions on how I would have been notified of the frame's warranty - she did not respond to any of my emails. I understand a year had passed since I "purchased" the frames on 1/30/2021. However, I did not have use of the glasses until 3/29/2021. A product warranty is designed to gauge the minimum use one should have from a product. I wore these frames occasionally for less than 9 months before they broke. I implored Marchon and Cris to reconsider based on the above and the Covid complications with no success. It would have been a simple thing for Marchon to stand behind its product, but its agent would not even respond to my emails requesting additional information. Most infuriating for me is that Dr. Bogus' office did nothing to help resolve the situation. My insurance and I paid Dr. Bogus' office over $650 (over $220 from my own pocket) for a product now worthless after just 9 months of periodic use. One of the reasons to choose local businesses is to get more dedicated and personalized service. Cris could not even take the time to tell me personally that he was not going to help me with my broken frames instead sending the receptionist to tell me. Likewise, not one of these 3 entities -- Cris, Dragon or Marchon -- was willing to do anything to help their customer. They could have offered a reduced price on replacement frames or a credit for a future purchase . . . something . . . anything! Cris could have asked Marchon or his distributor to provide free or discounted replacement frames. Instead, all three companies, chose to hide behind a warranty that was NOT brought to my attention at any point while purchasing the frames. I expected so much more when making the decision to support this local business. I can understand that perhaps Dr. Bogus' office could not absorb the cost to give me replacement frames. But, I do not understand why Cris and Dr. Bogus' office were not willing to at least try to find a resolution for a client who trusted them and spent a significant amount of money at their business for a product now worthless. Lesson learned! Lesson learned!
