The front office staff were prepared for my arrival and checked me in quickly. The ophthalmology technician invited me back for the preliminary evaluation, such as my family history and basic eye tests before eye dilation. After the preliminaries were finished I waited for a few minutes for the drops to take full effect. Then I was shown into Dr. Pingree's exam room . When Dr. Pingree arrived, he was very pleasant and yet professional. We chatted about my eyes and vision before he proceeded with my eye exam. He answered my questions and clarified some of the challenges that my eye conditions presented. It seemed like a smooth, professional operation with a positive attitude from the front office check in to the check out. I have never felt so bad in my life the way I was treated by the doctor. They left me in the waiting room after dilating my eyes for almost 1 hour and they took every patient in a room except for me and then when I got to go in the room the doctor made a comment about drugs he continued on reading my medication out loud with the door open. He made me feel like a drug addict, I am 64 years old and I am on some medication but he has no right to treat me so bad. I know he is a member of the LDS Church so was most of his patients because I got to hear everybody talking in the waiting room which I was first and they all came after me. I was left in the waiting room along crying and no one even bothered to see what was wrong. I am going to go on social media and any other platforms possibly his church and let them know how I was treated because I was treated like I didn't even matter. read more

It was nice to be greeted by a friendly receptionist. I was taken back within minutes of my arrival. The tech, Carrie?, was very professional and pleasant. Dr. Young is exceptional! He is a good communicator! He explains everything in simple terms that I can understand. Dr. Young is monitoring changes in my vision and eye health, watching closely for Glaucoma. He is very positive and reassuring, explaining the treatments available to treat Glaucoma. From the pleasant reception greeting, to initial refraction from Dr. Young's tech (I'm sorry, I don't recall her name) - who was very skilled, experienced, and cheerful, to Dr. Young's expertise as a very gifted optimitrist, to the optician at your on-site West Valley Optical, who was also fantastic and offered great pricing options on my new glasses (at least $300 less than what I spent at a competitor last time I purchsed glasses), everything was wonderful! Dr. Pingree is the best! I've been going to him for years and I've only ever had positive experiences. He is very thorough and will take the time to explain the steps to you. My husband has also been going to Dr.Young for a year and he has also had a great experience with him. Dr. Young was actually able to spot a tear in my husbands Retna (almost detachment) that, thanks to his referral, we later found out needed surgery. I was very nervous about getting an eye exam. The office staff were very pleasant and helped me with my paperwork. When they took me back for the exam, they were very reassuring. I noticed the rooms were exceptionally clean and they wiped down everything when I was through. Dr. Young was caring, explained what was happening in a way I could understand, and put me at ease. I have been a customer of Pingree Eye Center for well over a decade, and I expect to be a customer for many more years to come. I was very pleased Dr. Young taking the time to investigate my frustrating experiences with the last adjustment to my glasses four months ago. It got to be a hard adjustment dealing with the new issues of blurry sight and a tough challenge to drive and correct typos using my computer. He just knew my frustration and determined to switch and invert and move the corrective offending lens prisms and it worked! Dr. Pingree and his staff are amazing! They aren't just trying to get you in and out, they are very attentive and make sure all your questions are answered before you go. there is never more than a few minutes waiting time. All the staff and doctors are friendly, helpful and willing to take time to answer any questions. I had cataract surgery done by Dr. Pingree and, despite my obvious concerns, was reassured and have had a very good experience. The whole experience was great! The most painful experiences from the whole procedure was the IV. Dr. Pingree and his staff are very professional and are a well oiled team. But yet, they all are very nice and answered all my questions. The result is that I now have 2020 vision in my left eye. Now i get to do it again in my right eye. read more
