She really tried to make it right and retain me as a patient/customer. I still can't justify more than three stars because it can still be a frustrating experience to go to the Orem Eye Clinic. I feel I spend more money than I can afford every time I go, even with pretty good vision insurance! Whether it's the expensive meibomian gland treatment, the expensive vitamins, or the expensive frames and lenses, it all adds up and I think there are less pricey alternatives that are just as good.

If you are worried that they won't want to give you your prescription to buy glasses elsewhere or that they will give you a hard time for it, that is false. Also, if you prefer to do images instead of having your eyes dilated at your yearly exam they do it here for $15 and that is the cheapest I have ever had an optometry clinic offer those for! I have always paid $30-$50 for that at other clinics--both in state and out of state. That alone should have you choose this place to receive services if they take your insurance. It's also a great location that is not hard to find.

He ran into people and things regularly and held onto walls as he walked. After trying occupational therapy, school interventions, and many other therapies I thought we had tried everything and it was just who he is. Then I read an article in the paper that described his struggles perfectly and where to go for solutions. I made the appointment right away and got him into Dr. Duvall who found many areas that could be improved. He is two-thirds done with the vision therapy, and everything has improved. He now reads willingly and looks visibly more relaxed and confident while reading and writing. He has begun to try and enjoy new sports and activities. He is much more aware of his surroundings and confident all-around. Dr. Duvall works well with kids and has kept my son motivated to do his work, which is an accomplishment in itself. I am very happy to see my son's struggles turn into strengths.

I worked extensively to find extra help specifically for dyslexia and found little help until we were referred to Dr. Duval. With 5 months of eye therapy, my son is now able to use his eyes in ways that he never has been able to before. He is testing at grade level in school. He simply could not see before, and his vision issues were not diagnosable with a regular vision screening. This therapy has changed my sons life. I am now recommending this to all my teacher friends. We are just so happy to find something that finally is working. Dr. Duval and his staff are wonderful, and work so well with struggling children. He has special pediatric training which is important to me. Their office staff have gone way out of their way to work with our insurance company. I find everyone there to be extremely caring and honest. I have been so impressed all around and would recommend any struggling student to this office.

Dr. Howell immediately identified the issue and got to work correcting it, having had years of experience with children and this condition. My little boy thinks Dr. Howell is his best friend which is very telling because my son likes very few people, ha ha. Dr. Howell is patient, kind, and makes the exams fun with "games" and prizes at the end to the point that my little guy requests I make more appointments. Additionally it is obvious that Dr. Howell truly cares for his patients more than his payout. I trust 1000% that my expenses are fair and necessary- something I've questioned at other places. Turns out Dr Howell has training with migraine day head injuries and possible eye traits that can make that occur. He checked things no eye doctor ever had and told me because of my specific eyes I had been over prescribed and it lead to headaches. When I left there I finally had faith restored in at least one eye doctor! If eyes could breath a sigh of relief that's how my eyes felt. Also, NO headaches with my new prescription!!!!
