It's been about 11 years since Dr. Loner performed my lasik eye surgery. The experience was fantastic, and I was floored at how quickly the results hit me. The next morning I took off my eye patches and I could see perfectly! Being able to eliminate contacts and glasses from my daily routine was seriously life changing. My only regret is that I didn't get the procedure done sooner. No more worrying about my contacts at the pool, or getting cloudy eyes if I slept in them too much, or my glasses fogging up in the winter, etc, etc. If I have to wake up in the middle of the night, or even first thing in the morning, I don't have to reach for my glasses before I can see. Thank you Excel for my new eyes! Since I don't wear glasses or contacts anymore, I still get my sunglasses from Excel. Also, both of my parents have visited Dr. Engen in the Cosmetic Surgery Center for minor procedures, and my mother in law had the bags under her eyes removed and they've all had excellent experiences. I have a co-worker who went to his dermatologist for the same eye procedure and while his eyes turned out pretty well, he's pretty bummed he didn't know to visit Dr. Engen. I was very pleased with the service I received from Excel Eye Center in Provo. From the front desk, to the doctors visit, to the technicians I had contact with, to the purchasing of eye glass frames I encountered cheerful and helpful people. My wait time was not lengthy at all. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time, which I appreciated. I saw Dr. Hatch who was very bubbly, upbeat and friendly. I enjoyed visiting with him. I also saw Dr. Thuerer who has a more professional demeanor but was very kind. He was very good in explaining what he was doing and why. Both doctors took their time with me so I did not feel rushed or unimportant in any way. I felt they were genuinely concerned about the health of my eyes. I really enjoyed the excel eye center. The doctor was great in helping me recover from a ulcer I had received from wearing my contacts too often. Dr Wilkinson made sure that I was taken care and made me many follow up appointments to ensure I was going in the right direction. The front desk lady I worked with was the only difficulty I ever have with this place. Once you get passed them its a great experience. Also they tend to yell at you because they work with people/elderly who can't hear very well. I don't have a hearing problem however, I expect this to happen each visit and it does. read more

My son has had to wear glasses then contacts since he was in middle school. He now lives in Utah and wanted corrective surgery. We visited Excel Eye Center when we were visiting Utah and we were so impressed with everything we saw and heard. Everyone we met with were friendly, helpful and very professional and they know "Eyes." We met with Dr. Lohner and he answered all our questions and we felt confident in him to do our son's surgery. My family and I have recently started to going to Excel Eye Center in Provo. The ophthalmologists there are specialists. They are skilled, and very good at what they do. I had a very thorough eye exam, and had to have something taken off one of my eyes. I was very nervous, but Dr. Lohner did an incredible job. Dr. Morris, one of the optometrists at Excel has been great with my 3 children that wear contacts and glasses. They accept most medical insurance, which was helpful, and have an incredible selection of glasses in all price ranges available in their optical area. read more

Last night, I noticed floaters in my right eye that progressed very quickly. I called at 8:00 AM this morning, had an emergency appointment by 11:30 am, found to have a retinal tear, was numbed and had Laser surgery immediately. The medical assistants and Dr. were professional and compassionate. I was one of 3 people that needed emergency attention today they said. I would have expected long, drawn out wait times but the only wait I had was to be sure my eye was numb. My son had LASIK surgery done by Doctor Lohner in Provo. He has been wearing corrective lenses since middle school. Since I never wore glasses until I got "old" I did not know what it was like not being able to see without help. I am so ecstatic at the results of my son's LASIK surgery. My retina detached and I was seen by 2 doctors. When the bleeding began in earnest, it was Saturday night. Dr. Gunther drove from his home in Alpine to Provo to help me. On the way to the Provo office, my wife and I were trying to cope with the idea of me having just 1 eye, telling eye patch jokes and making the best of what we thought was a one-way result of the detachment. Dr. Gunther lasered the retina back into place and I have my eye sight back. I have never been treated with anything but courtesy and consideration. read more

I have loved my experience at Excel Eye Center! Dr. Lohner did my LASIK surgery almost a year ago and it has been amazing. My vision is even better than with my glasses, I am now 20/15! The office has several doctors working at the same time so the office is very busy, but they still made me feel like I was important. I had my eye exam with Dr. Parsons here at Excel Eye Center. From the front desk staff to the assistants to the doctor I was very pleased! This is a very nice office where I felt comfortable. The exam was smooth and the dr. answered my questions thoroughly. Excel is the best! I went in for a LASIK screening. The thought of putting a laser anywhere near my eye scares me to death. And they answered all my questions and made me feel so much better about the situation! I also needed to buy some new frames and when I couldn't find the Tiffanys frames I wanted they were great to order them for me! I enjoyed my visit to Excel Eye Center. My appointment was with Dr. Wilkinson, but I have been examined by Dr. Parsons as well. It's a little scary to go for a diabetic eye exam, but I felt reassured by the thoroughness of the exam and that all my questions were answered. The staff, in particular, was attentive and kind. These guys are as good as it gets. My experience specifically was with Dr. Parsons. They make you feel like you are the only patient they have even though they probably see hundreds. I had a cornea transplant and the surgery went perfectly and I've never had any issues. I enjoyed going here! I needed to get glasses and so I made an appointment, after arriving and speaking to the lady at the desk I only waited about 5 minutes until Dr Morris came out and took me back to examine my eyesight. The entire thing was quick and professional. I will definitely go back if I need to get more eye help. read more
