I'm adding a couple stars to my initial review because the office manager reached out to me to apologize for the poor experience I had earlier this year. She really tried to make it right and retain me as a patient/customer. I still can't justify more than three stars because it can still be a frustrating experience to go to the Orem Eye Clinic. I feel I spend more money than I can afford every time I go, even with pretty good vision insurance! Whether it's the expensive meibomian gland treatment, the expensive vitamins, or the expensive frames and lenses, it all adds up and I think there are less pricey alternatives that are just as good. read more

I ran into a surprise billing issue that I did not understand. After a bit of miscommunication, I was able to talk to Shery and resolve it. I feel the eye doctors are very conscientious and excellent. They also have a nice selection of frames from expensive to cheaper ones. Bad news, Dr. King is gone. Good news, I found where he went! TLDR- Orem Eye Clinic has gone waaay downhill since the disappearance of Dr. King (details below) but Im happy I was able to find Dr. Aaron King again only 10 minutes away at Timpanogos Eye Center if you actually want good eye care. Now for the details (if you're interested in my not so fun experience)- I first started going to Orem Eye Clinic 1.5 years ago. Being a young adult, having to start "young adulting" everything yourself is intimidating because half the time you dont understand whatever people are talking about. Dr. King was very easy to talk to and helped explain things at my pace while not making me seem like I, myself, had to go through med school to understand. He showed that he cared about me and my health by taking the extra time to make sure I felt comfortable and that I grasped the situation of what was going on with my eyes. We set up visits every 6 months (because I have some eye issues) and every 6 months I'd actually be excited to go to the doctors. Fast forward to today, once I get there at the confirmation time, I heard that Dr. King was no longer at Orem Eye Clinic. At first I was sad but, c'est la vie, he probably moved away. I check in and then was told to wait... 40 minutes roll by and finally they took me back to do some tests, they then completely flood my eyes with the dilation concoction and then moved me to the "patient" room to wait for the doc. 10 mins roll by and I hear outside the door a little tiff between the doc and the assistant, "where's his folder?" so... They misplaced my folder (and from the conversation it doesn't seem like this is the first time its happen- but sure, it can happen to anyone) Dr. Campbell comes in, greets me with a smile, says he looked at my previous x-rays/photos (which he lost 5 minutes before) and everything looks good and he doesn't need to see me every 6 months. He then took a SUPER quick gander at my eye and said everything was good. He then showed me some test results from last time I went in (where I scored perfect) vs this time (where I did not score perfect) and said, "eh, Its good". I brought up glasses and contacts because it's the end of the year and I wanna squeeze in my benefits and he said, "oh yeah, you are due for an eye exam... Well you are dilated which may alter your exam a little bit- so... do you want to do it?" O_O.... I was in shock, "not if my dilated eyes are going to affect the test, what would be the point of getting a wrong prescription?" He then let out what seemed to be a sigh of relief and said something along the lines of "Alright, well thats good" as if he was happy he didn't need to administer the test because he was obviously running 40 minutes behind. He escorted me out of the room and said to schedule an appointment in 12 months at the front. I go to the front, I try to schedule an appointment and they say, "oh, well... he didn't tell me so they must have automatically scheduled your appointment. Your co-pay is $60". I look down to see a notice saying, "due to inflation, we charge x.xx% if you use a credit card". So I pay my copay (which they say is $60) in cash and don't get a receipt... All this to say- woof.... What an experience. After doing a little digging online I was able to find the man (being Dr. Aaron King) who used to keep Orem Eye Clinic all together only 10 mins away at Timpanogos Vision Center in PG and Highland. Called them up, they were extremely helpful and actually gave me the time of day when I went in later that night. Dr. King greeted me like an old friend (and we both agreed to continue the 6 month visits for a little longer until we can rule out that I won't be going blind in the near future) AND my copay was actually only $10... AND there was no BS "inflation credit card fee". All this to say- bye bye Orem Eye Clinic. You gotta figure out what you want to change cause right now, it is not working. You get 2 stars from me because even though the experience I went through was horrible, you all did smile at me so- keep smiling I guess. read more

I showed up end of the day Friday without an appointment with my boy who can be a nightmare also is very clingy to me with a piece of metal in my eye The staff was so patient with my boy and took care of him while the doctor got the debris out of my eye with my boy going wild I might add doctor kind who had plans he put on hold and put me first i had never been there was the only place I could find to help me leading into weekend any eye care I receive or my family will 100% be there as far as cost I'm on a fixed income and it was out of pocket for me and they were so fair with me I would highly recommend also safety glasses highly recommend them aswell read more

I've really liked this clinic. Dr. King and his close attention to detail have been exactly what my daughter and I needed. My daughter has thyroid eye disease and Dr. King took the time with her to fully understand the best treatment for her eyes, which included a second exam just to compare results when he suspected inflammation was affecting her vision. I have been struggling with dry eyes for years, but never had practitioner take the time to treat it. The office staff has also been great to work with. My husband has visited Dr. Codner and has nothing but good to say about him. The whole staff has been accommodating and flexible with appointment and prescription changes. We feel like our eyes are in very good hands! read more

Came to this clinic today for the first time, as I just moved from another state. I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, kindness, and professionalism of the staff! The equipment is much more advanced than that of my previous doctor as well. Dr. Solomon was very attentive, thoroughly checked my eyes, and answered all my questions as well as gave an overview of what he found. His professionalism and knowledge were comforting and reassuring! Definitely would recommend this clinic. It is not everyday that you're able to feel comfortable and at home, but this is definitely something that you can find here - along with caring and knowledgeable professionals! read more

Completely messed up the insurance--I told them what I needed done when I made the appointment, again when I got the appointment and again during the appointment. I had a $0 copay, but they charged me $57. When I logged in and showed them I had no copay, they said it had changed (really? it changed in November??) They finally reimbursed it. Waste of time, waste of money. read more

Couldn't be more pleased with how the doctor just solved my eye problems. I have an irregular stigmatism and my eyes are literally changing rapidly for the worse and the doctor took a lot of time helping me understand what's really happening and suggesting all the ways to minimize costs and set expectations well for me. I've always used Standard Optical for my contacts, glasses, etc. but decided to try out a new place to see if they offered better service. That was my mistake. Dr. Connors himself was fine, though they made me wait for over an hour before he could see me (despite me having an appointment). Now it's been almost two months and I'm still receiving bills in the mail for services that were not asked for, or that they made sound like would be 100% covered by my insurance. So far about $150 worth. Overall I felt like it was pretty poor service, and the front desk ladies aren't a lot of help. If you go here, make sure you ask questions about every service they provide and what it will cost you, otherwise you will have all sorts of surprises showing up in the mail for the next couple months. read more

Terrible service. Wish I had gone to ANYONE else. My first time getting glasses and when they asked if I wanted polycarbonate and anti-ray coating, I asked how much they would be. They said "Oh, $6 or $7". If only they had told me that was the sales tax! They sent me a bill a month later for $96! I called them up (I got my insurances mixed up) and asked if they could bill it to the correct insurance. They said they weren't obligated to! Never felt like they were putting the customer first EVER. Seriously, do NOT go here. I never write reviews but I don't want anyone else to fall into their traps. read more

Do not go here. Such an awful experience. They are scamming people and insurance companies out of money. I had an appointment so I could get some contacts. When I was done at with my appointment they asked me all sorts of questions about my insurance. So I answered them. They then told be I had to pay $70 for my appointment because they were not going to bill my insurance I would have to do that. My insurance will pay for $150 for the appointment and contacts, so I knew I would get a lot of that money back, before I could bill my insurance I got $139 bill. I went in to talk to them about this and they just went in circles saying that it cost $210 to get the exam done even though they never told me this. They proceed to say they can refund the insurance and I can pay that $139 out of pocket. They continued to go in circles trying to explain why they billed my insurance when they told me to my face that they were not going to bill them and I had to pay $70. That $139 was never mentioned at anytime during my appointment and now I am out that money and will still have to spend money on contacts. They claim most eye places charge two separate fees but yet I can go to Costco and get it all done for $70. These people suck! read more
