For what it was - a glamorized, overpriced fast food joint in a casino - the food was good. I'm hopeful not ALL Wahlburgers are like this. Our local casino has changed a lot in the few years since we last came to gamble and have dinner. Before - sit down, table service restaurants. Now - food court atmosphere. Pricing was WELL above fast food but a little below what you'd pay at a chain table-service restaurant. AND you don't have to tip the server. Oh, one other bonus - you don't have to pay for soda as you can get the complimentary soft drinks throughout the casino. Of course, there is no drink station anywhere NEAR a restaurant (I understand why), but that didn't stop me from toting along 2 glasses of diet cola. Anyways, hubby ordered for us at the counter. The menu was rather limited but I had checked online ahead of time to see what Wahlburgers offered. He got a double cheese burger and chocolate shake. No fries as everything is a la carte. I got the grilled chicken salad. Food was ready quickly. Hubby said the burger and shake were pretty good. My salad came in a plastic box. It seemed the greens, 2 slices of avocado, 2 cherry tomatoes and sliced onions were prepared ahead of time. When I ordered, they likely finished grilling the chicken and warmed up some carmelized onions and tossed those on top. However done, the end result tasty very good. The salad side was average when compared to what I might get in real restaurant. But eating it out of a small plastic box was a bit of a challenge. Would I choose to hear here again? NOPE. If I were at the casino and had to eat a meal there, would I choose here - maybe. I'm not super familiar with the other options so it just might be as good as it gets. So CBus finally gets a Wahlburger! Decided to hit them up on date night. I was already anticipating the long wait because this is our first Wahlburger. The way between getting in line and getting my food was about 35 minutes. I've had Wahlburger in the past and I love their Wahl sauce and onion rings. The burgers aren't bad, but the Jenn's Chicken Sandwich caught my eye. I ordered the Jenn's Chicken Sammy and a side of onion rings with a cup of Wahl sauce. The sandwich looked very appetizing and after my first bite, I was immediately impressed. This chicken sandwich is extremely tasty and could arguably be the best chicken sandwich that I have ever had. I usually don't choose grilled chicken over fried, but I am now open to it. My wife ordered a burger and onion rings. I shared a bite of my chicken sandwich with her and she loved it so much, we stood back in the line to get her one to go. I will definitely be back to get another chicken sandwich after the hype of this place dies down a bit. The customer service was really good as well. This place is great - haven't had a bad meal. Its a smaller menu than their standalone resturant, but there are lots plenty of options. It can take a little bit to get your order, still definitely worth it. The wahl sauce is yummy and a good addition to your burger. I have tried many of the grocery store items, so I was so very excited to hear that Wahlburgers had opened near me. We kinda made a day out, just to go to Wahlburgers. Once we studied the menu, we finally ordered - the staff member was so very patient and helpful - we had a larger group with us... so there were a lot of questions, he was kind and answered them all (unfortunately, I didn't get his name). We ordered quite a few burgers, including the impossible, fries, fried pickles, mushrooms, and a shake. I appreciate that they are inclusive with the impossible burger. Everything was 'ok'. Service was excellent on day 2 of their operation, speedy and friendly. Burger was very good (not Shake Shack good though), but the options for cooking were "well" or "medium well." I had never been into a Wahlburgers anywhere and it was my first time inside the Hollywood Casino. Wahlburgers did not disappoint. I had the Double Decker Burger that has Paul's signature Wahl sauce, Fries, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar (Free Refills), and yummy Chocolate Milkshake. I will get the Black and White milkshake (Chocolate and Vanilla) next time. That is one of the best burgers I have ever had. Some people thought Wahlburgers was hype, but it is not. I've been wanting to try their food for a while and yesterday I did. While at the casino, I stopped and ordered a burger and fry for lunch. It was delicious! The only complaint I had was the fries were not hot but the burger hit the spot! I did try their famous sauce on the side and it wasn't bad, I did stick to my mayo though. I will be back again for lunch or dinner. I had to wait a long time for my food after 5 people came in after me but left before I did. They had my food sitting on the counter while the girl behind the counter walked away on her phone. The BBQ burger had so much on it i could have BBQ sauce all next summer. The onion rings were more like bits of onion that were more grease then onions. I also order the mac and cheese. It's located in the back of the casino and you do get a little of the diner vibe when you go in. There's "bar" seating as well as 2 seater tables inside, and right outside are larger tables. First of all the burgers were slammin, they were the right amount of drippy without being too messy, the chocolate shake was chocolate goodness and the perfect accompaniment to the burger. The truffle fries were hands down the BEST fries I have EVER had. They were delicious without the truffle sauce, but even better with. The only complaint I have is the straws need to be a little bit fatter so I don't suck my face-off drinking the delicious shake. Ok the hubby and I have been wanting to try this place really bad. We went on a Sunday early in the evening when it was less busy. Wait was not long at all and our server/cashier was very friendly and polite. We ordered hamburgers with everything including the Wahlburgers' signature sauce on them as well as fries and soft drinks. The hamburgers were both cooked perfectly to order, his medium and mine well done with no pink in the middle. They had a great flavor and generous on toppings, every including the pickles were fresh and perfect. The french fries were delicious as well. Overall we really enjoyed the food. It was $40 for everything plus tip which is kinda steep for hamburgers fries and sodas, BUT we sometimes spend almost this much when grilling out and we were at the Hollywood Casino so it seemed like a fair price to pay. I will definitely return again sometime soon and probably try the Jeni's chicken sandwich next time since I normally don't eat hamburgers but I wanted to keep it simple and try the famous signature hamburger. I also had their onion rings which were not that great they're literally French onions that you put on top of a casserole but the other two the burger and the salad were awesome. I ordered the Our Burger fully loaded with an order of thin sliced onion rings. The wait was longer than expected, about 20 minutes. I was kind of torn about eating here after having read so many mediocre to bad reviews, but since it was House Money, what did I have to lose. The thin sliced onion rings seemed to have sat under a heat lamp or warming tray for some period of time; they had good flavor, but rather salty, not even warm. The burger was cooked medium well and was not over-cooked. Toppings were fresh, the pickles actually made the burger. Had a hard time tasting the Wahl Sauce. The temperature was good on the burger. I gave it 4 stars because it exceeded my expectations of what other reviews were saying. The burger was a bit pricey at $10.95; this was a good $5.95-6.95 burger. Total bill was approaching $15; you can do better at Five Guys. The free soft drinks in the casino save you $2.50 in the restaurant, so grab a cup before you head in. If I weren't eating with House Money, I'd probably choose another burger joint, there was nothing memorable about it that makes me want to return. Well, fries were served barely warm and the burger was like something you might get at a Hardee's on the West Virginia Turnpike. Sorry, not worth the $28 for two burgers and a small fry.
