Wonderful service and incredible food! Keep them at The Crossover! Free cookies and brownies are nice too :)

Wegular burger-the meat and bun were good

I was super excited to try this place especially after seeing them have a steady line of customers at their truck the first hour or so I was at The Fieldhouse at the Crossover. I had also read a few of the most recent reviews which mentioned how great the food was. I should have scrolled further down in the reviews. I ordered 3 kid's cheeseburgers with fries and a Wegular burger with bacon and Parmesan fries. First off, it's pricy for a family of four and everything is a la carte. The food came out quickly and was lukewarm. While the burger itself and the bun were good, they were nothing special. My fries were hard and the Parmesan sauce on the fries is hard to describe other than it was wet, tasted bad and was nothing like Parmesan fries I have enjoyed at other places. The burgers also had varying cooks on them (mine was well done while two of the kids cheeseburgers were closer to medium which I noticed as they were eating it). When I placed my order, I was not asked how I would like them cooked. Overall, this is an experience I will remember for all the wrong reasons and won't repeat.

The Wagyu on Wheels food truck sets up outside of my job every other Wednesday! So today is Wagyu Wednesday! :) The menu is easy breezy! The line goes quickly, they had several people working in the truck today so that helps speed up the service. I posted a pic of their story, it is on the menu. Today, I ordered the Wegular burger and oh my cow... it was so flippin good! Cheesy goodness in every scrumptious bite! The bread is sweet goodness in your mouth! I'd give this burger 10 stars if I could. I also recommend the sweet potato fries, they were crispy and come with a house dipping sauce that was yummy. Overall: friendly service and great quality food at a reasonable price! Cheers to Wagyu Wednesday!!!! See you in a couple of weeks :)

First time trying this place. Very friendly staff and beef is locally raised. Also, I love the outdoor entertainment and area.

I placed an online order, and when we got it home, my husband's burger was missing the tomato and lettuce that was on the order. The may seem like not a big deal, but since he doesn't like cheese, and he doesn't like sauce, except mustard, so the lettuce and tomato are basically what keeps this from being a plain burger on a bun. Since I don't live close, it's not like I can just run back up there. My husband said it was fine, but Mooyah is not a cheap burger. Ok, so whatever. But then I got an unsolicited texy survey from them asking for my feedback so I gave it. Shortly I received the attached text saying sorry and have a nice day. I really hadn't expected a response, but I would rather have had none than that weak reply. Like maybe offer a free fry in the app for my next visit, or $3 off the next order...that at least is a gesture that would bring me back to spend $30 again. Disappointing.

Lazy G BBQ Company in Cedar Park is exactly what it sounds like: lazy. For a BBQ joint in Texas,…read morewhere the standard is high, this place is embarrassingly bad. Rudy's BBQ should be the baseline, yet Lazy G doesn't even reach that. I ordered the ribs and brisket, hoping for something decent, but both were far below average. The brisket was especially disappointing--you could see the congealed fat right in the slices (see pictures). Serving meat at the right temperature is BBQ 101, and their failure here made the texture and flavor a cold, greasy mess. The sides weren't any better. The cucumber salad was bland, with just a dusting of dill and no seasoning whatsoever. Adding salt and vinegar should be a no-brainer, but apparently, even the basics were too much effort here. I was excited to try the smoked mushroom side (as a mushroom lover), but it was downright unpleasant. There was zero smokiness, and the sauce tasted like a watered-down BBQ sauce, giving the button mushrooms a soggy, unappetizing texture. The BBQ sauce was another letdown--it tasted like bottled Sweet Baby Ray's. For a BBQ place, using (or at least mimicking) store-bought sauce is the ultimate red flag that they just don't care. Even at $22 for a two-meat plate, the quality doesn't justify the price. In short, Lazy G BBQ Company doesn't just fall short--it doesn't even try. If their goal was to live up to their name, they succeeded; this food is lazy, uninspired, and, frankly, not worth your time or money.

My husband never eats mac and cheese and I'll be darned if he didn't finish my Trashy Mac and Cheese for me that evening! Finally! Some mac and cheese that is actually delicious and creamy. The toppings of brisket, bbq sauce, french onions and jalapenos all stirred together makes each bite a little slice of heaven. WOW! The next morning he said, "I kept telling myself I need to leave a little bit more for Lee Lee but I kept opening it back up and eating more until it was all gone!" Good thing I had my bites right when we arrived at our hotel because I was so hungry. My husband ordered sliced brisket and we lucked out and got a few of the brisket burnt ends. They weren't all "candified" like a lot of the other bbq places serve; but they were smoky and delicious. I also enjoyed the potato salad. We were excited to order the smoked mushrooms but honestly, they could have used a bit more flavor for me. You could just tap the salt shaker and it would have been fine. I appreciated the creative side dish and love how the bbq scene has doubled down on the side hustle! It was cold out so we sat on the enclosed patio that had heaters and were very comfortable. We order a couple of beers and waited for our food. The service was friendly. This was a nice dining experience.

As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.

With this brewery I got a beer type I don't always get and when I do it's a nice change of pace and that is a Brown Ale. I took the opportunity to get one here and the name of this brewery's version is a fun one... it's called Velvet Nunchuks. The flavor profile in this one is good... in it you can have fun with detecting caramel, roastiness and maltiness. The beer is smooth and has nice mouthful due to that. Whitestone was a good stop even if it is a bit of a ways from downtown Austin.
